Non-Injured Players Sitting In Weeks 16-17 (1 Viewer)

While teams tend to sit players less and less than in years past, it's always good to look ahead to see what possibilities are out there to plan for those weeks.

With a bunch of tight races, right now the Titans and Giants could conceivably wrap their conferences soon and be in a position to sit players. But what about teams like the Cardinals that could have #2 cemented, or maybe even the Steelers if they beat the Ravens next week? Or maybe banged-up players on hopelessly-out-of-it teams?

I'm not positive, but I don't think the Cardinals would cement a bye if they win next weekend.

Winner of Bucs / Panthers will be 1 game back of NYG for the #1, 2 games ahead of Arizona and Minn for the #2, but also only 1 game ahead of the loser of the game.

I don't see much happening in the NFC...except maybe week 17.

My bad in the OP - the Cards are far from a bye and in fact will still be a game behind the winner of the Bucs/Panthers game tonight. The subplot is that Warner may try to gun for Marino's record - while they're unikely to eclipse it, both he and Brees are about 900-1000 yards short.

If I'm not mistaken, Tenn. will have to stay competetive since they play Pitt. in week 16. Assuming they beat Houston next week and Pit beats Balt, then Tenn. will want to beat the Steelers since the Titans finish against the Colts and if they lost to the Steelers and Colts and Pit wins out, they would tie at 13-3 and Pitt would be #1 seed based on H2H tiebreaker. I think...
