Noteworthy Offensive Line Injuries (1 Viewer)

The most underrated factor heading into every fantasy preseason is injuries on the offensive line. Typically, we're all fairly aware of the notable retirements on the offensive line (i.e. Mark Shields in KC), but the injuries happen in real-time and are often difficult to keep track of.

To date, notable injuries that come to mind are:

- Glenn, LT, Indianapolis

- Brown, LT, New Orleans

- McIntosh, LT, Kansas City

- Meester, C, Jacksonville

I'm sure I'm missing a number of other injuries. Those were just off the top of my head.

Any other injuries on the offensive line that come to mind? Let's get this thread going.

Great thread.

Where possible, I'd suggest stating:

a. whether the guy is a starter or back up

b. Nature of injury

c. Does it look long term

d. Is the guy a stud or is there an adequate replacement if it's long term.

Yes, very good point. I was going to suggest all that as well, but didn't want to force the issue.

Let's get this updated with all the current injuries along OLines throughout the NFL.

For instance, I'm hearing the vaunted Broncos OLine is mighty dinged up at the moment.

What else do people got?

Washington RedskinsLT - Chris Samuels is out with an injury (strained MCL?) but is supposed to be ready by Week 1; Stephon Heyer (undrafted rookie) has been working with the starters in Samuels' absence

LG - Todd Wade has been working on moving from T to G to replace Dockery (lost in FA) but is now injured (shoulder); Mike Pucillo will be working at LG against Pittsburgh with the starters this weekend

To go into detail...
Ryan Harris, the 3rd round rookie LT, is out for 4-6 weeks after back surgery. He's projected to be the secondary backup tackle, behind Adam Meadows.
Matt Lepsis, who was returning from an ACL injury, pulled his groin last week and sat out, but he was back with the 1st string yesterday (thank God). He's the starting LT, and probably the most important player on the line.
Ben Hamilton, the starting LG, is still returning from a concussion. There's no timetable on his return, although the optimist in me thinks that the Broncos feel no need to rush him since he's already such an experienced starter that missing camp isn't the end of the world.
Adam Meadows, the top backup tackle, badly strained his calf yesterday and had to be helped off the field. I'm not aware of the severity of the injury or any timetable for his return, but with injury woes at three of their top four tackle spots, Denver has converted TE Chad Mustard to tackle just to get some warm bodies at the position in camp.
Chris Kuper isn't injured, but it's worth noting that he's been struggling with consistency, and has been demoted to the second string behind newcomer Montrae HollandIt's a good thing Denver had such amazing depth, because the only offensive line position that's stayed consistent throughout camp has been Nalen at center. Eric Pears, the RT, and Chris Kuper, the RG, have also both stayed healthy, but they've also been strongly pushed by their backups and their grips on their job haven't been very firm.

Great idea for a thread. I am firmly in the camp that thinks offensive line cohesion is a very underrated part of a team's offensive line's success.

Ahman Green with the same linemen for 16 games - 1800 yards in 16 games

Ahman Green with line injuries - 1200 yards in 14 games

Cincinnati Bengals

Willie Anderson RT -- may not be ready for the season with foot injury (likely plantar fasciitis -- thanks Rushmore)

Levi Jones LT -- still rehabbing from offseason arthroscopic ankle surgery

Both are hoping to be ready for opening weekend. Neither is a lock.
