Japan was a brutal, racist emperor cult that killed 30 million people.

Major attacks on civilian centers and civilians themselves was part and parcel of World War II and the era immediately preceding.  The Rape of Nanking, The Siege of Leningrad, the Blitz of London, the Fire Bombing of Dresden, the Battle of Berlin.  All sides had the blood of civilian attacks on their hands.   The only difference with the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagaski was the type of weaponry used, but it's been argued that more people were killed in both the Firebombing of Dresden and the Rape of Nanking.

You mean health insurance not health care?  

And by access you mean if you have the funds to pay for 25% annual increases and ever increasing deductibles in the individual market?  And by all citizens, you mean all but 10.4% of the population that remains uninsured?

The problem is they ALL have insurance they can't use because of the high deductibles and copays.  So while I know it's a favorite talking point of the left - "More people than ever have insurance now" - it's disingenuous to ignore all of the other factors that make it ####ty insurance for all but 5% of the population. 

Remember: this was supposed to be AFFORDABLE, hence, "The Affordable Care Act" (keyword: "affordable").  It's been a massive - and predicted - failure.

It wasn't about healthcare, it was about control of you.  Control your healthcare=control you & your vote.   Don't you understand that before this abortion of a bill that nobody was denied healthcare?   This "thing" raised costs so much that we MAY have to depend on government.   Good luck with that.  Take a look at the ACA healthcare thread.   Should be an interesting take on the "facts" & not on personal ideology.  IMO

It found that just those four companies had denied coverage to 651,000 people – one of every seven who applied – because of pre-existing conditions. It also found the rate of denials was increasing at the companies every year.


Pre-existing condition denials were on the rise


The investigators wrote this in a memo about their findings:

A year-by-year analysis shows a significant increase in the number of coverage denials each year. The insurance companies denied coverage to 172,400 people in 2007 and 221,400 people in 2008. By 2009, the number of individuals denied coverage rose to 257,100. Between 2007 and 2009, the number of people denied coverage for pre-existing conditions increased 49 percent. During the same period, applications for insurance coverage at the four companies increased by only 16 percent.

I know it's just semantics but there's a difference between being denied healthcare and being denied insurance.  So what Irish said was technically correct.

 
I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a Republican these days. Your current presidential nominee is making your party look like a laughing stock, your recent vice presidential nominee is an ongoing embarrassment to America (along with being a pill-popping whackjob), your most hated enemy is about to become President Of The United States, and the current President is enjoying a 51% approval rating (something that neither Reagan, Bush 2 or Nixon could pull off at this stage of their second terms).

If Republicans were a sports city, they'd be Cleveland.

Let's not forget another big one -- at a time when the demographics are turning against them, their solution is to declare political war on minorities and millennials, the soon-to-be biggest voting blocs in the country. Latinos becoming 25% of the electorate? Let's campaign that they can't be trusted to be judges and threaten to oust their families from the country! That'll win them over for sure!

We are in a worse place than before he took office because he "tried". He "tried" but failed miserably. George Bush "tried" to spread democracy to the Middle East. How did that workout?

How are we in a "worse" place now?  Everyone seems to forget that before the ACA, health insurance premiums were skyrocketing and pre-existing conditions could preclude a person from being covered.

Go check the Obamacare thread. The individual market has been destroyed. When I said it was worse now, I was being kind.

No one forgets that premiums were going up year to year but NOW they are "skyrocketing". Remember when were supposed to save $2500 a year? ACA was sold on lies and is a giant turd. And I don't give a #### if was implemented with the best of intentions.

You keep spouting this nonsense as if this is the only stat that matters. It isn't.  But that's all you do.  You ignore the massive cost to consumers in deductibles, premiums and copays - stats that actually matter to American families and dwarf the uninsured stat - to spout WH talking points.

That low number of uninsured doesn't mean #### when

  • No one can afford to use the insurance they got because of the skyrocketing deductibles and copays
  • We were told it would SAVE the average American family $2500 a year and it's not even close.  It's actually costing a majority of those families MORE.
  • Most everyone was NOT able to keep their doctor OR their plan
  • The insurance people got in Obamacare is more expensive and even ####tier than the insurance they used to have pre-Obamacare
So you go on with this facade that low numbers of uninsured are the only stat.  The rest of us in the REAL WORLD understand what's really happening and won't be unquestioning lapdogs to the agenda like you.

Think of it this way: TGunz, belongs to the  "Scientology of the far left" (so to speak).  You aren't going to get him to change his mind.  You aren't going to get him to think critically.  You aren't going to get him to listen to other viewpoints.  You aren't going to get him to understand anyone else's position but those given to him by his leaders.  You aren't going to get him to realize that his positions don't make sense and simply cannot and do not work in the real world.  He lives in the Utopia that is created by his masters' talking points and he exists in no other reality.  He simply would not be able to function if he had to live in truth and facts.
