# of snaps a player gets in a game (1 Viewer)

Need some help here. I have my eye on a few guys and would like to know the amount of snaps they are getting. Where do I find out how many plays a given player gets in a game? Looked just about everywhere...

Pro Football Focus

Not sure how many games they have up.
If you click the "By Week" tab, the games that have been critiqued are displayed. One of the options is "Player Participation" which gives play by play analysis of the offensive and defensive package personnel. Excellent stuff. Unfortunately, they only have the stats for 12 of the week 1 games and 2 of the week 2 games. No details on week 3.

Thanks Gentlemen!

Anywhere else besides Pro Football Focus? Somewhere that is up-to-date?
Not that I'm aware of. The IDP matchup tool (download) in subscriber content gives team tackle ops. What players are you looking at? You can send me pm if ya want.

This is a significant undertaking, especially without coaches tape. Football Outsiders has a game charting project, but have never tackling player participation and alignment in specifics (i.e. they'll note how many blitz or how many WR are on the field, but not who and where) to my knowledge. The NFL produces player participation data for compensation purposes but the information is highly guarded. Each team is allowed to see only their own data and a full data set is never released.

Thanks for the info on this...but ProFootball Focus and Football Outsiders are a little too thinky thinky for a simple man like me. I think a lot of us are just looking for one very basic stat without any bells and whistles: How many snaps was a guy on the field (not where they were playing, their position, their production, etc.). Anyone have any idea on that?

Updating previous post

Pro Football Focus have now critiqued the remaining 4 week 1 games - all week 1 games are now up. No further updates to the 2 games from week 2. No data for week 3.
