12 team PPR. 12x30 rosters. I'm sure I will get ripped for this since I might have overpaid, but I have a pretty deep team and want room for picks.
I gave up Tate, Ben CLE RB;Cooper, Riley PHI WR;King, Tavarres CAR WR;Maclin, Jeremy PHI WR;Rudolph, Kyle MIN TE

I prefer your side of that by quite a bit, actually.
Cooper and King are basically irrelevant, IMO. Rudolph isn't much unless you start two TEs or play TE premium. That leaves injury prone RB2 and WR2/3 types for Lacy and Franklin. I think that's a clear win.

I agree with you on the Lacy side being the winner, but Cooper is far from irrelevant and Rudolph is a nice stash if the Vikings can get decent quarterback play.

Maybe irrelevant is a bit harsh for Cooper, but he seems to me like he has a WR3 ceiling and his TDs are likely in for a regression. Even if the lineups are deep enough to make him a viable starter on a contender, it should be pretty cheap to replace that kind of production.
I'm more bullish on Rudolph than Cooper, but he's still in that TE 5-15 tier where almost everone is interchangeable any given week. He can start for a FF playoff contender, but at the same time he's not a guy who is likely to be missed for long should he be dealt (in non-TE premium/2 TE leauges).

yeah, Cooper was a rock solid WR2 last year down the stretch last year. How is he seen as irrelevant? Rudolf could easily get running with Norv as the OC. Would anyone be surprised if he was a top 5 TE?

I didn't think it made sense for his roster. If I'm giving up Lacy Id be looking for a premium player back at an area of weakness. I thought the Lacy owner should have targeted a better WR, and not a collection of decent parts.

I will take HIlton over pick 9 right now. Although, some leagues to drafts in May, some in late august. I would be more inclined to take HIlton if the draft is in August and everyone is more spoonfed the rankings of guys.

They gave up Wright, Kendall TEN WR; Year 2014 Draft Pick 5.02;Year 2014 Draft Pick 5.04
Wright steps in as my WR4 or 5 with Shorts. I traded all my depth in the Lacy trade (who I then flipped for Bell). This gives me some of that depth back and enough that an injury or two won't kill me.

If that was the 1.2, sure. For the 1.3.....I'll pass on the late 1st, even in this class. I'd stick with the 1.1.

Some people view that as a problem. To each his own.
In a dynasty I will go with the best players regardless of position. I can worry about filling a need in 6 months when there is an actual game. And filling needs become quite a bit easier when you have better players to move.

Me too, which is why I required the devy to make the move. I'm hoping I don't regret it, but needed the safety and certainty of Brees. Couldn't afford to be wrong about Foles with my roster in this league.

It doesnt look as good without Djax. But I do think FOles is pretty good, and the uptemp style will give him some extra points.

Yeah, I'm nervous about it but was happy to be able to make this deal only days after Foles lost his #1 WR.

I think you got a steal, I understand Foles is younger and it seems like the Saints are going to be more balanced but you still hear rumors about drafting a quarterback and then they bring in Sanchez. I am not sure if Kelly is sold on Foles yet.

If Kelly isn't sold on Foles as their starter then I question his sanity and competence.
ANd I would want him locked up in a psych ward with the key thrown away forever if he brought in Sanchez because he has concerns about Foles.

That's true for some. I'm totally sold on Foles, which made this one tough for me. But I do understand that in the eyes of many I probably killed this deal, upgrading my QB spot and getting a free devy pick thrown in. I don't agree but it sure makes me feel better, since I'm wrong just as often as anyone else haha.

I'd be more worried if DJax hadn't disappointed in so many games. In Foles' 13 starts DeSean had 5 games with 8 points or less and 3 games of 12-18 points.
From weeks 7-17, DJax (WR20) scored less than 1 PPG more than Cooper (WR27). I think Maclin can make up those numbers and be more consistent.

Plenty of WRs in this draft who can run a fly route. Moncrief or Bryant would look good catching bombs from Foles.
As for the deal, the devy pick helps offset the upside that you sacrifice going from Foles to Brees.
I'd back Brees to outscore Foles in redraft. On the other hand, I have a tough time thinking Foles could have been so successful as a total fluke.

Maybe. But it's pretty likely DJax was pulling coverage away from Cooper, etc. in those games and I don't think Maclin is the same threat to safeties.

Right. Losing an entire career of Brees-type production would suck, but I'm not sure it's likely Foles turns out THAT good even in the best case scenario.
