12 team, 1 point PPR league, QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Flex/K/D

Team B gets: Devante Adams

-Team A also owns FJax and is weak at RB...FJax is the #2RB on the roster after L. Bell. They are also loaded at WR.
Davante by a mile, regardless of immediate need. It's July; there's no rush to fill perceived needs; you can make that trade in September if you really want to. Or you can get a more sure thing for Davante.

A will give

Bradford, Sam STL QB

Manuel, E.J. BUF QB

Ingram, Mark NOS RB

Cobb, Randall GBP WR

B will give

Kaepernick, Colin SFO QB

Randle, Rueben NYG WR

Thompkins, Kenbrell NEP WR

Mayo, Jerod NEP LB
Cobb side easily. In fact, if it was just him for those players I'd prefer Cobb.
 Kap and Mayo are great, but Cobb is a few tiers above anyone in this trade.
I dunno. LB1 score a whole lot of points, and depending on scoring and flex that's a huge addition free and clear. Depth at WR isn't hard to replace in a 12 man, and I still think Randle has huge upside. Maybe less certainty than Cobb, but the ceiling is there.

I'm selling Cobb; I like the return, but in general I'm holding out for two early-mid 1st value. Definitely want to sell him by the 2014 trade deadline though. Barring injury, can't see his value declining until next offseason, so I'd hold up for just a bit more.

12 Team PPR, Start 2 RB with 1 FLEX:

I gave: Matt Forte, Jeremy Maclin, Ben Tate, Dennis Pitta, and Marcus Wheaton

I received: LeSean McCoy

I know I gave up way too much in a vacuum but none of these guys were my starters outside of Forte obviously.
Too rich for my blood, but I value the old Forte-types more than consensus.

12 team PPR, start 2 RB with 1 FLEX:

Team A (Sankey owner) received: Dexter McCluster

Team B (Bell owner) received: Theo Riddick

Agreed

Full IDP (balanced to tackle heavy), Superflex, TE premium:

Kyle Van Noy

for

Anquan Boldin

Nigel Bradham+Keith Rivers to Alonso owner

for

Chris Ivory+Marquess Wilson

Steven Jackson+Kelvin Benjamin+Andrew Hawkins

for

Zac Stacy+Mike Wallace

Kelvin Benjamin+Robert Ayers

for

Emmanuel Sanders+Jadeveon Clowney+2015 3rd
Can see both sides of the Boldin deal

I'll take Ivory/Wilson

Stacy/Wallace easily

I think I would take Benjamin in the last deal

Fair, nothing for nothing likely. In a vacuum I prefer McCluster as a bye-week RB3.
a lot of buzz out of Detroit about Riddick looking good. Might take over for Reggie in a year, but some think he'll catch 50 balls this year

Gave: Marshall

Received: Harvin
You got younger but I am not sure better. Solid move if you have depth or are reloading though
I'm expecting Harvin to put up numbers similar to Marshall with his rushing. It's a gamble with Harvin's health but I think I have enough depth to handle it if he does get hurt.

BTW, Adam Harstad just wrote a great article on Harvin.
Yeah that is a good article. I have been a Harvin buyer but he hasn't cost me a Marshall price...yet

+1
We know mccluster is a nothing. We don't know that about Riddick, although it's definitely a possibility

Wasn't involved but a perennial top 3 team sent

Derek Carr

1st

3rd

4th

For

Josh Gordan

2nd

All picks likely 9-12 range in a deep 12 team PPR

must be a really deep league if Carr is on a roster...or 2QB/Superflex in which case the picks are worth a little more and maybe makes more sense

Gordon for me though especially if my team is awful or rebuilding

One QB League, he's a potential starting QB, are you thinking of David Carr?

We start 10, 43 bench non IDP

Trade was made between two contenders. The one getting Gordon doesn't value picks as much trades them for proven players but Gordon won't help until next season most likely

53 man rosters is really deep.

I was thinking of Derek but he has only been drafted in my 2QB leagues and 16+ team leagues so he is on the wire in some others. Those big rosters though I guess any starting QB and his likely backup is rostered

I'm also hearing good things about Riddick. If a ticket on that train doesn't cost anything more than Dexter McCluster, I'd be happy to pay it.

Carr is rostered in every league I'm in 25-30 roster spots. No league has cut down yet though.

If Whisenhut uses McCluster like he used Woodhead - and that was the plan when he first signed - then I'd guess he'd end up with more value in season. I don't buy any of the Riddick OTA "fluff" being reported right now, especially when Reggie Bush and Joqie Bell both more than capable receivers out of the backfield and more verisitile overall. Riddick is the type of back who would shine in padless, non-contact practices.

Bottom line though, this trade likely turns into meaningless for both sides.

I don't know about that. Spiller gets a bum rap because he was hurt last year. He was historic the year before that. Lacy's numbers actually suffered a bit when Rodgers was in there.
Can you define historic for us?
Spiller was beastn for the first few weeks and was the number 1rb if I remember correctly. But then he was hurt with a shoulder injury. I had high expectations for him as well. But lacy seems by far the best player in the trade for me if those picks are late.

DeAndre Hopkins + 2015 1st (should be late in 14 teamer; on paper he has the best team)

for

Randall Cobb
Hmmm...I wouldn't trade Cobb for this...either Cobb is worth less than I think or Hopkins is worth more.
Cobb's value is hugely tied to his situation, and he might not be in Green Bay next year. The team is trying to sign Jordy first, so they have leverage when they talk to Cobb, and they just drafted Davante Adams and liked what Boykin did, plus they added Abracadabra and co. There's a very real chance that this is selling high.Hopkins is the best receiver attending camp with Fitzpatrick. He's the best receiver that O'Brien has seen on the Texans practice field. Andre might be the guy right now, but he's getting valuable time right now as the focal point. He's a quality receiver and the future for that passing offense.

Hopkins year 1: 52/802/2

Cobb year 1: 24/369/1

Cobb year 2: 80/954/8 plus 10/132/0 rushing, one game missed

Cobb year 3: 31/433/4 plus 4/78 rushing in four games, 11 games missed

I like Cobb better, no doubt, and if he stays in Green Bay, he could be a monster. But he's also 5 foot nothing, a hundred and nothing (ok, 5'10 192) and might be changing teams.

If people are getting full priced offers for him right now (and I'm not saying Hopkins and a late first is full price) then this isn't a bad time to move him. I'd probably try to upgrade instead of downgrading, though.

Unless Riddick has become significantly faster and more explosive I don't see him becoming Bush's replacement. He's more similar to Bell than Bush and I doubt he can be effective running the ball as the primary back.

PPR League

Traded: Aaron Rodgers

Jermichael Finley

Received: Big Ben

Gronk
You win this if Gronk stays healthy, but Rodgers is the safest things at QB for the rest of the decade. However, it's much easier to get a QB to approach Rodgers' numbers than is it to find a TE to approach Gronk's.

Gronk.

:goodposting:

Gronk and Rodgers are the #5 and #10 players on my big board in dynasty. I really like them both. At the end of the day, though... Gronk smash.
