This guy in the middle is doing a great job with pregame work right now bringing to light Dave Duncan's achievements as St. Louie's pitching coach.
Who is he? I missed the opening.
I don't know but his shaggy hair reminded me of Eric Byrnes. Maybe it was Eric Byrnes? I think Jeannie Zalaskow (sp) made a comment about how well he was doing, too.
It's Byrnes and he has been a great find for FOX.
Dude reminds me of "Tweak" (sp?) from South Park.

After that garbage it is a huge half inning here for Rogers. Tough to not give up runs after the other team escapes like that.

Can one of you guys in Detriot find out what Kenny Rogers is taking? I feel like I hit 30 like a brick wall and could use the pick me up, know what I mean?

Thanks.

Good to see Detroit tie it up tonight. Rooting for the Tigers in part because that Dr. Detroit fellow seems pretty swell.

Man Jones is a heartattack. But he always gets it done somehow, someway. Tigers dominated this game though and they will not go down easy. :banned:

Nice win for the Tigers tonight.

Another great performance by Rogers tonight. That guy is in a serious zone right now.

The good news for the Cardinals is that the Tigers only scored 5 runs in 2 home games, and they have yet to face the Cardinals top 2 starters.

This has the makings of a long and good series. The Cardinals have to got to win at least 2 out of 3 at home (winning all 3 would obviously be great). They cannot go back to Detroit, down 3-2, and having to beat Rogers to avoid elimination.

Good news for the Tigers is they will hit a lot more homeruns in St. Louis. Hopefully Tigers win two of three in St. Louis and come home with Rogers on the mound and me in the stands. :banned:

After the way he's performed this postseason, my mancrush for Kenny Rogers is so strong that I might just kiss him on the mouth.

WHO'S YOUR TIGER?!?!

KENNY ROGERS!!!

Maybe he'll wear pine tar cologne when you two go out on your date.

Did anyone see the huge chunk of pinetar/foreign substance on Roger's pitching hand?

middle of this thread is the blown up picture...
He said it was rosin bag and spit and the umpires had no issue. They made him clean it off and he allowed one hit over the next five innings. Nice White Sox conspiracy theory though. Welcome to the World Series guy. Your team is out. :bye:

If Kenny says he's innocent, it must be true, then.

:lmao: Seriously though you wanna double?
Sweet, I'll bring Yadier Molina, you bring Kenny Rogers, and we'll have a gay old time. I'll bring my Mellencamp records, too!

:lmao:

Dusty Baker was just asked if 70 percent of MLB pitchers use pine tar and he was all...ah...well...a lot of them use it....

:lmao:

No one from the MLB brass was watching the game, so he was able to wash it off before they noticed it.
Thank God he washed it off, whatever it was, because he pitched a real gem after the first inning :bye:
His pitches did have more break to them than the camera he destroyed last season as a member of the Texas Rangers.Real classy guy.

Nice. I got myself a fondue pot and some herbal tea at my crib.

Rogers just said that was a clump of dirt on his hand. Um, yeah, okay. Is anyone buying that?
Who really cares? He didn't have any on his hand when he owned the last 21 Cards batters. If 70 percent of pitchers use pine tar according to Kruk and Dusty then I guess you'll have to suspend the whole league. Anyway this was dirt. Dirt is completely legal but not a fine lubricant if you're short.

The fact that he did better after he wiped it off is irrelevant. The fact remains that he had a foreign substance on his hand, which is supposed to result in an immediate ejection. Look at that picture Mr. Phoenix posted and tell me that is dirt. I will then call you blind. Or a major homer. :bye:

Eddie: [wiping his finger across his chest] Crisco

Eddie: [wiping his finger across his waist line] Bardol

Eddie: [wiping his finger along his head] Vagisil. Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curve ball. Of course if the umps are watching me real close I'll rub a little jalapeño up my nose, get it runnin', and if I need to load the ball up I just... [wipes his nose] ...wipe my nose.

:ptts:Seems like you are good at identifying foreign substances. Not sure if there is a career for that but I'll check around.

Anybody that implies that Pujols cheats is a FREAKIN IDIOT. Pujols has been consistent his whole career. Rogers has been mediocre his whole career and then all of a sudden has several ridiculous preformances in a row...not to mention there are pictures of Rogers with a foreign substance on his hand...Seems pretty obvious who's cheating if anybody is...
