***OFFICIAL 2009 NFL DRAFT*** (1 Viewer)

ugh with like a million picks, i'd kinda like to see us move up for Unger now

ain't gonna happen though

I was so zoned in on the centers that I don't even know what the heck plan B would be

Addai dynasty owners every cringe!
What a change of fate from a few years back (strictly fantasy)... Addai from zero to hero to back to almost back to zero. Maroney from a hot stock to penny to pink sheet. Lendale from a loser to a steady RB2-3. Williams from hero to zero to back to hero. Think of all us dynasty owners. What da!

I actually like the Pettigrew pick.

The Lions need to be looking for best player available regardless of position. The idea that they can be even remotely competitive in 2009 or 2010 is laughable. I don't care what the Dolphins did last year, Detroit is at a totally different level of sucking.

Oher has some question marks, but what's not to like about Pettigrew? He's the best player at his position, maybe the best overall on the board, and a force blocking and receiving.
hearing that he is a beast blocking TE changed my mind immediately. they effectively added two positions with that pick - OL and TE. I like it now that it's sunk in.and obviously they knew more than us...Laurinitis, Delmas, Maualuga all still available with 5 picks to go till 33

Don't fool yourself - a real good blocking TE does not replace an offensive tackle. He supplements a good line, he doesn't replace one.

Like Buffalo couldn't have traded up in the 2nd round if they wanted Wood. I just can't get over this. Unreal.

Thanks Buffalo for ruining yet another draft and another day that could have been unbelievably exciting. Awesome job there trading Jason Peters for a center. Peters for Maualuga I could have handled. But Peters for Wood. Bravo. You've managed to completely screw up yet again.

Are we sure that Al Davis and Ralph Wilson aren't secretly related?

This reminds me so much of the Bills trading up and reaching for John McCargo.

Yea but when the Lions draft Carson Butler as the backup TE at 33 -- then they will REALLY be supplementing.

I hate the Vikes. Another Troy Williamson project, but this time with problems. I cant believe it...
Harvin is about as close to Williamson as Chad Johnson is to Ashley Lelie. This was a great value pick. Vikes fans will be very happy.
I'm happy with this pick. Percy will get the message real quick in Minny, if he stays on grass, he will get punched in the face like Williamson did. (obviously for different reasons)

BTW lots of NJ guys drafted in round one - Monroe, Knoshown, Donald Brown, Raji, Cushing,

Boo that the Giants passed on the hometown WR Kenny Britt for Nicks...

Lots of value still out there. Malauaga, Britt, Wells..... one or more will be there in the 2nd. Tons of more trades to come. Watch NE trade a 2nd for a 2010 1st.

Pettigrew was definitely the #1 TE in this draft and a first round talent. Was he the BPA at #20? Maybe not but it appears the Lions will still have Britton or Beatty drop to them at 2.1. Everette Brown and Rey Mag are still on the board as well. The Lions are looking good here.

They just showed Oher getting beaten at the college level and the QB taking hits. Meh, you can have him BMore.
GOOD LORD HAVE THE NFL SCOUTS SEEN THIS?????????
Apparently they did and that is why he slipped down and down and down.
LOL. All the way down to the first round.
LOL all the way past 20 teams
Yep, that completely ruined Randy Moss's career. Poor guy's doomed.
