***OFFICIAL 2009 NFL DRAFT*** (2 Viewers)

For everyone hoping Oher falls to Detroit... With that defense, do they actually pass over either one of Maualuga or Peria Jerry for him? Just wondering out loud.
either Oher or Maualuga would be solid gold and make for an A grade 1st round. I'll be ecstatic whoever it is...i could not have imagined a better scenario for them.

I can almost guarantee that no mock drafts got most of these picks right....Jackson to Chiefs; DHB to Raiders; Crabtree to Niners; Moreno to Broncos; Ayers to Broncos; Freeman to Bucs; Sanchez to Jets etc etc

What an unpredictable draft this has been

I'd like to see Everette Brown make it to the Pats. Who would take him? The Browns? The Lions should go Wells. I'm not sure where the Eagles would go. The Vikings should not be taking Brown. We'll see.

Denver could've flipped picks, they made out ok.
That's what I was going to say. I'd rather they went defense on both picks, but if they were looking at Ayers at 12 and hoped he would be at 18, that was a good move after all. Still wish it were two D picks, though.

Whoever said the 5th pick is better than the 6 players the Browns will get from the trades is silly. All we hear every year is how no pick is a lock to suceed and how one player can only play one position. Mangini turned one pick into three picks and three players so far.

I'd love it if the Bills grab 2 of OT, TE, LB with the 28th and 42nd picks.

Knowing the Bills, they'll throw a wrench into things. John McCargo'd

Good question for sure. I hope they go defense at 20 and 32, but if Oher is there you have to make the tough choice. Mike Lombardi was on NFLN explaining this part of the war room. The horizontal and vertical board (talent vs. need). Oher is a talent and a need, but so are MLB and DL.

I would take Oher without hesitation if he is there.
Absolutely agree. There are still several highly rated LBs on the board and only 1 highly rated T. Take the guy who could possibly be you franchise LT and protect the $42M investment you just made 2 hours ago. Hope like hell that one of those great LB prospects are still on the board at 33.

Uh oh, Eagles hopped ahead of the Lions. Who're they taking? Maclin? Ray Mau? I'm calling Pettigrew. Maclin. :lmao:

Wow - Maclin. Great pick for Philly. Must've thought CLE would nab him, but also wonder if they were worried about somebody else trading up for him.

Jesus...Reid just can't help himself...guy picks a WR in the first round about every year it seems like.

Saints boards turning back flips over the Jenkins pick.CB - Greer, PorterS - Sharper, HarperNickle/Dime - Gay, JenkinsThat's actually a lot of talent in the def. backfield.
And then there's Will Smith, Sedrick Ellis and Vilma, and suddenly the Saints might actually be good on defense.

Maclin & Jackson are similar, so not sure about this one. Obviously, Boldin & Edwards would've been better fits, but that's always easier said than done.
