Steal for Cincy
That's bad pick. Big name player, but doesn't have the skills that translate to the pros.
You like the Denver move and dont think this is a steal.Packer fan, figures
I didn't say I liked the Denver pick. I was responding to your comment that seemed to imply that Smith was a poor player (sorry if I interpreted that wrong, if that is the case). I personally think Denver should be accumulating picks, not trading them. And no, I don't think it is a steal at all.

Seriously, WTF was Denver thinking with that trade? 37th overall for a 1st rounder. I call shenanigans on that transaction, that shouldn't have even been allowed.
2nd this year = 1st next year. happens all the time.
People always freak out when these trades happen too. They laughed at the Panthers when they went and traded a 1st for Jeff Otah, and he was an excellent player for them.
Actually WTF was Seattle thinking. They are trading 37 this year for something in the 17-23 range. That is moving up like only 15 picks for next year. Too many good players left on the board.
you think the Broncos pick will be in the 17-23 range next year? It could be top-10.
For some reason I was thinking it would be the Bears pick. Anyone know whose pick it was?

I think someone could have made a lot of money prior to the season, or even any time during the season, betting that Clay Matthews would go ahead of Rey Maualuga.
That Crabtree would not be the first WR off the board would have pulled a lot more coin.

Jaguars go OT/OT with their 1st two picks. Beefy.
last year they couldn't patch a line together with all the injuries. Monroe and Britton are great ways to fix that. MJD is happy.
Great picks. Britton should be fine at RT.Jaguars, if I remember correctly selected 2 tackles many, many years ago. I think it was their first draft. Boselli and Demarco (Michigan State). Demarco didn't work out so good. Why do I remember such useless draft garbage????? I need to get out more.

Like the Brace pick. If the Pack didn't address D Line in the 1st, I was hoping they would nab Brace in the 2nd.

Wonder when James Casey will get picked....I'd love for the Bills to get him in R3 if possible.

Jared Cook is a possibility at #42....but if Everette Brown is still on the board....damn that's tempting.

William Beatty should be in the discussion too, IMO.

Bills fans:

Some people thought they'd take Brown with the #11 pick. If he's there with this next pick, do you take him despite taking Maybin at the #11? :goodposting:

I would expect the Pats to TRADE UP again with the #58 pick to get their OLB. They have 4 3rd round picks. I cant see them making all of those picks.

And as a UCONN fan it is so great to see us have potential 3 players go in the 1st two rounds (Brown, Butler, Beatty). I never thought I would see the day when they first jumped to D 1.

Seattle traded its second-round pick -- No. 37 overall -- to Denver in exchange for the Broncos' first-round pick in 2010. The Broncos have two first-round picks next year, one originally belonging to Chicago. Denver acquired the Bears' first-round pick as part of the Jay Cutler trade. Seattle acquired the first-round pick that belongs to Denver.

and what a shock, Patriots load up with two more great players that fit perfectly into their system.

How many years do we need to see the same blueprint.....trade down and get lots of picks between 35 and 50 and then just maneuver around to grab exactly the players that fit your system.

Every year these guys do it and no other team (despite their huge success every year) follows suit. It's simply amazing.

I would want this, but when you're predicting the Patriots to draft a Day 1 OLB, you're in uncharted water. I hope they get someone though.Another guy I wouldn't mind seeing is Shady as a quasi-Kevin Faulk replacement. Pretty old backfield.

I think Barwin is going to be a Patriot. A lot of versatility there. and with Vrabel gone, he can play tight end.

How in the world is one of the top teams in the NFL getting to draft all the players in 2nd round? New England must sit back and laugh every year at the other teams and the picks they take from them.

New England - Hey team "*" we will give you some pretty beads, and magic fire sticks for your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round draft picks for the next 4 years.

NFL Team - OHTAY, pretty beads, me likey beads and fire sticks. Ha Ha that silly New England stupid for making trade with me.
