*** Official 2013 Seattle Seahawks **** (2 Viewers)

Pretty sure any argument you think you have about a fanbase goes out the window the minute you use a term like "Squawk fans

That and you are cluttering up what could be an epic matchup of ITS and Sweetness.
What did Sweetness say? He said he loved my work. If I go away, what are you left with? An open mic night with a mime.

Tell you what Junior, I'll stay out of any Rams related threads, as long as you do the same for the Seahawk related threads. No one wants you around, guy.
Except if you were to show up in a Rams thread, I wouldn't mind. What would you say? That the Rams have been horrible for a fairly long time? Yep. That the Rams tried to force a pathetic attempt at "tradition" down the throats of the fans? I'm with ya. See, here's the thing: as much as I love the Rams (and I go back to before Ferragamo threw that pick in SB XIV that broke my heart), my ego isn't wrapped up in it. I can admit my team has been flawed for a LONG time. In fact... hang on.... let me check....

Yep. The Murdering Showgirl is still dead. It cost quite a bit of money to get a webcam installed in her coffin so I could ensure her rotting corpse stays where it belongs... but it was worth every penny..

Anyhow, where was I? Oh yeah... see, I can love my team, cheer for my team, live and die with my team... but still admit they are flawed. Not Squawk fans. The front office is infallible simply because they do a good job drafting in the late rounds. Ignore other bad personnel decisions they made... they found Sherman in the fifth round, and that makes them gods... and maybe even not with a lowercase "g." The fans are the best... and they won't just say it but they are going to QUANTIFY IT... because the validation matters. The peanut vendors put more peanuts in the boxes than the peanut vendors at any other stadium. There is utterly ZERO rationality to any Squawk fan I have come across in the past 10 months or so... and like I said before, it's a shame. Because the team itself is pretty easy to like.

The reason you don't want me around? Simple. Haters gonna.... well, haters gonna state facts that annoy the non-haters. Bubbles are cozy, ain't they?

What Sweetness said really doesn't matter.

But a battle between he and ITS would be legendary for unintentional comedy.

Oh, and don't pick on Seattle fans too much...

note:...some will take this as a jab by me...not intended that way at all. I have no ill will towards the Seahawks despite some people's attempts to paint me that way. Just saw the article this morning.

"Every time I get here, his car is here. Every time I leave, his car is still here - and I'm usually one of the last ones out of here after meetings. There's a reason why he did as well as he did last year." - Rookie Chris Harper on Russell Wilson

How has Chris Harper looked so far?
I have been impressed with him so far. He seems to show up about every other practice and really shine. His hands are amazing but he needs work on his game as rookie WR's generally do.

http://www.seahawks.com/news/articles/article-1/Two-Minute-Drill-Rookie-wide-receiver-Chris-Harper-taking-cues-from-quarterback-Russell-Wilson/af7be1fb-a4b6-4281-8e63-0f8dd24c3e23

"I remember one time when I came up here at like 6 a.m. and I saw a car outside," the 6-foot-1, 234-pound Harper said following Thursday's training camp practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Center. "I didn't know whose car it was. I got in the facility and I thought I was the first person in there, but [Wilson] was leaving. He was literally leaving at 6 a.m. I honestly don't know what he was doing there, I doubt he was just leaving from the night before, but he was leaving right when I got there."
It does seem like he is working hard, so thats half the battle. Unless Tate or Rice go down I don't think you see to much of him this year. Im guessing he replaces Rice next year.

:goodposting: Agree with everything you said junior, except the part about the team being easy to like. Cheap shottin, trash talkers. And rah rah pete.

I do like Russell Wilson though.

Kearse and Williams are making it look like Harper doesn't make the roster out of camp.
Everything I've read on Harper has been positive. I don't think there is any chance he doesn't make the roster, especially with Harvin not counting against the active roster until deep in the season.
He will make the roster. That dood doesn't know what he is talking about and is overreacting to preseason game #1. Typcial hawks fan. If you saw the seahawks.net forum during the game the sky was falling, fire Quinn, our D sucks, after the first series they had on defense. Its the reason most of them have issues with me.... they whine/cry about everything and I call them out.

Tjax missed Harper wide open in the endzone....not sure if people watching saw that...but Tjax admitted to it after the game.

Dear Seahawks fans,

Get a hold of I'm the Scientist and get control of his trolling and crapping everywhere. He is giving all good Seahawks fans a bad name.

Totally. It's all about everybody else. Definitely not on you.

Why would you say this about me?

I agree that me saying "I would be surprised" is too much. I wouldn't be surprised, but I still think Williams and Kearse are ahead of Harper for the moment.

Dear Seahawks fans,

Get a hold of I'm the Scientist and get control of his trolling and crapping everywhere. He is giving all good Seahawks fans a bad name.
If it makes you feel any better, he probably annoys us more than he annoys you
Since you pretty much defend his antics 100% of the time, I highly doubt he annoys you at all.

It was great when the Seahawks got bounced from the playoffs. We didn't hear from IBS for a good 6 months he was so busy crying and licking his wounds. I see he's back being an even bigger fool. Its clear he didn't learn anything at all from shooting his mouth off last year.

I like him. He takes :fishing: to a new level and his catch rate is top notch. I do feel bad for the guy though because he was late to the Russell Wilson bandwagon. Better late than never.

No such thing as a great read on an SB Nation Fan blog. Why do I say that? Because I used to write for one.
Not true. Danny Kelly and Davis Hsu do great work on that site.
I'll check some more of their work out. They have a lot of contributors for that blog. When I posted on the 49ers blog, I tried to get a cross site rivalry going with sig bets and stuff. I stopped reading the 49er site because it started to get Bleacher Report type posts there. Saw one headline in a Google news feed "Does Kaepernick have The Gene?". The guy who posted that writes for Bleacher Report.

My experience led me to believe: if the staff has to post several articles a day, then they are writing too much and thus writing to just write. There were times where I was asked to write something for an afternoon post that was a few hours or less away. For those who obsess about the team, that's easy. But I didn't want to post something superfluous just to get page clicks.

I did like FG though back then. The SB Nation PGA site when Ryan Ballengee wrote for it was awesome.

I agree. He reminds me of Winston Guy. He knows his football, but does dumb stuff and tries to hard to fit in.

I honestly would love to sit down with him and buy him a couple beers.

I have been off the boards for awhile, and I am surprised by the amount of hate for Seahawk fans. Is this because of one poster( who I see likes to rile other fans up apparently) or a nationwide thing?

Serious question.
I see it a lot in PFT and a few other places in the comments. Not sure how it got that way, but it seems that a lot of people are peeved at us. Maybe the GB game last year sparked the divide.
And to that I always basically think "#### Everybody Else". I really don't care if other fans don't like the Seahawks or their fans. As a matter of fact, I already hate the other 31 teams so it's only fair that they hate me and my team back. I'm generally not in the business of being a fan so I can look "cool" to other fans. I'm in the business of being a fan because I cannot generally control my excitement for the sport and my team.

I don't want to judge anyone else or tell other people how to root for their team or enjoy the game, but anything less than the above from me means I've given up and should be put out of my misery.

#### Pittsburgh.

#### Green Bay.

#### the 49ers.

#### the rest of the fans who cry because a "small market" NFL team is finally getting some respect by the analysts.

#### the people who say "zero Superbowls".

#### the people who flaunt their rings they got 15 years ago and who weren't on the bandwagon until their team started winning two seasons ago.

#### Everybody Else.
You're not helping
Do we win some sort of prize if people like our fanbase?
Yes. Fewer trolls coming into all the Seahawks threads and being annoying. It's a prize I'd like to win.
I don't believe you're right. I think this happens to every team that has any kind of success.
I think this is the confusion.

What success? A second place finish in their own division, and a meek 2nd round bow-out in the playoffs against a soft opponent. It's no longer a team to be embarrassed about, and a good one to get behind, but there's hardly been anything to trumpet.

If you live near Seattle send me a PM. :gang2:

I feel like the Falcons and Texans have similarly blah histories, and both clearly had more success last season. Yet I'm having trouble finding a whole lot of abrasive Falcon and Texan fans. I think Atlanta and Houston are just classier sports cities.

U mad bro? Why else would you go into their team thread and tell them they are bad fans? Not sure I have seen that just yet in the pool. What is your favorite team?
