It's the daTE in number format... cannot remember the function I used to get it though. Maybe knock off X days from 41866?

41886 is the number of a specific date in General Format, used so you can use it in formulas; convert it to date and it becomes 09/04/2014.

Conversely you take any 01/01/1901 formatted date and convert it to a number to be used in a formula by changing the format to General.
