Not a terrible option. We could probably get him for the vet minimum or slightly over.

I'd be on board with that, he's an "OK" option as a backup.

I'd still trust Fitz more though. The backup QB market sucks as usual. I wouldn't mind drafting another QB.

Shaun Hill is a UFA? Always thought he was a solid backup, I'd take him over Fitz. I agree that Barkley isn't a good enough project QB, I'd flip him for a pick but I doubt Eagles mangement has changed their minds on him...yet.

I was going to post something similar. They obviously need a vet to come in and compete but I wouldn't be surprised if he shows some significant improvement. People are way too quick to write off rookie QBs as busts if they don't come in and light it up in year 1.

And thats understandable. They will need a 3rd Qb and who they get I guess will be telling. Do they get another rookie or an aging vet? i think if they wanted a vet they wouldn't have already said Vick will not be back next year.

I know he has been a flop but I still think with the right coaching and some consitancy he can become a decent player in the NFL

I've been saying for a bit I'd take a shot on Sanchez. The guy showed flashes of being able to play but has had a lot of bad snowball on him the last couple years. Give him a chance to learn with no pressure and we can see if he can be salvaged.

I agree with both of you, he needs to get out of that organization but his confidence might be permanently damaged beyond repair. I'm fine with any of Fitz, Hill, Sanchez as backup.

Totally agree. The truth is that we don't really know what we have in Barkley yet.

I think he would be fantastic in a 4-3 as DT. However he is playing in a 3-4 as DE and will want to get paid as a DE. I am not sure how they will justify paying a DE price tag for a player that only had 3 sacks. Don't get me wrong, I would love him in my 4-3, just not sure he is the best option as a 3-4 DE with the money he will want.

If he wants JJ watts money, then no, we won't. We'll see how he progresses in year two of the new system I'd love to see him extended though. I'm more unsure about Kendricks, he seems very hot and cold - want to see some consistency out of him. This year will be telling for these players now that the 'learning a new system' excuse is gone.

Never understood the love this guy gets. Yeah he's OK but I think there's a little "best looking girl in the trailer park" dynamic going on with him in relation to the other bums they've had with him on defense. He is an interesting case regarding the contract he gets.

On Easter 2010, I felt a pretty good jolt of an earthquake. It was a 7.2. Pretty big deal. We traded Donovan McNabb the same day. That turned into the #37 overall pick in that upcoming draft, and we signed Nate Allen.

Today, I felt the first once since then - a small jolt, a 4.4 earthquake. Coincidentally, we signed Nate Allen to a small 1-year deal.

I hope DeSean is gone. For the crap he brings to this team and even now in the off season he can't just be cool and chill out, I say trade the man. But the biggest reason I say trade the man is that it took Chip Kelly and a threat of being on the 2nd team to finally get him to play at a level we all knew he could. Even after that he couldn't keep it together for a whole season and lost it against the Vikes. I mean where the hell has he been for 5 seasons? Its not like he all of a sudden got better. Its the system, not Jackson's ability that put up the numbers he got this year.
