This our fifth transfer. We know the drill. It is our first where we did pre transfer genetic testing.Hey Scoob- I either didn't know, or likely didnt remember you posting in the other thread (fertility, not pron or soccer). Best of luck with it! We went through it twice, so feel free to get unsolicited advice (use your right hand, not your left). An embryo transfer would be a good name for a drinkHad to miss the first half. Wife was reluctant to reschedule the embryo transfer. Now at a local bar with a Pisco Sour.Cheeee-Layyyyyy
BTW where is Scooby? Under a pile of hunky Euro footy fans, I imagine.
While this all true to a degree, the results would be a lot different for both Barcelona and Spain this year with Valdes back there instead of Casillas/Pinto.The writing has been on the wall about Spain with them getting slammed in the Confed Cup last year in Brazil (by Brazil) and with Barca losing their spot as preeminent team on the globe.Hey, another noob footie question:
What kind of a choke are we talking about here for Spain to not advance? I know they were considered one of the top teams, what I am wondering is how rare is it for a team of this caliber to get knocked out of the WC? Like a top 2 seed going down in the first game of March Madness? Or more common?
Both teams relied on a core of amazing players who used short passes and constant short movement to just destroy teams (what people call the tika taka). But teams have figured out to use high pressure and speed to open them up- and that's what we've been seeing here so far. Plus, the Spanish core players are all getting a little old... and likely have lost a step, allowing other teams to do this.
tThey'll be off building stadiums in Qatar before the knockout rounds startFIFA jails are no joke. I am not making this up. There were cases in South Africa. Those guys might be beginning long sentences before the week is out.How effin' crazy do you have to be to go to a foreign country, storm into a stadium with 100s of armed security, with no obvious way out, and then go through the media center? Verdict of guilty by tomorrow and in jail by Friday?

Would common sense say that the advantage would increase as time passes? Or lessen?Continue to be impressed with the seeming homefield advantage for South American/Western Hemisphere teams - Ecaudor is the only one to lose, other than Honduras which really had no chance vs. France, and Uruguay which lost to Central America's Costa Rica.
I will really be a believer if Costa Rica beats Italy.
Even to the extent of being reigning World and Euro Champions. But they didn't have Zizzou until game 3.Didn't France do the same thing win/blank on the next tournament?

Maybe showing her pictures of shirtless soccer players would helpThis our fifth transfer. We know the drill. Anyway, LOOK AT ME IT TAKES SCIENCE TO IMPREGNATE MY WIFE!!!!
Boy Spain just looks old.
True they have made only 1 semi-final while the US has made a semi-final AND a quarter-final.ok- Brazil did it to the US at the Confed Cup, so it's possible for Spain here... but Chile is no US.
"Sorry, Xavi. You're just a bit behind Julian Green."Boy Spain just looks old.Klinsmann would have left half of them at home...

no jury, no basic law, you're ####ed if you #### with FIFA at the WC.
Increase, as they become worn down/out by the surroundings.Would common sense say that the advantage would increase as time passes? Seems to me that it would lessen, as teams adjusted to the surroundings.

don't anger them. Are there a lot of German Spaniards?Boy Spain just looks old.![]()
Klinsmann would have left half of them at home...
I wouldn't put France and Holland on the same level as Germany at this stage. Holland just struggled with Australia and France, despite looking good, did it against a pretty poor Honduras team.Increase, as they become worn down/out by the surroundings.Would common sense say that the advantage would increase as time passes? But, having said that, Germany, France and Holland have looked good - better than I expected, even if it is still early.
Not sure if these courts are around for 2014 but look at the article for something that really happened in South Africa in '10:FIFA jails are no joke. I am not making this up. The European teams can't win in Central/South America thing is a very small sample size, especially if you throw out the cases where teams would suit up after a long ocean voyage, but the legend has a chance of continuing.Increase, as they become worn down/out by the surroundings.Would common sense say that the advantage would increase as time passes? Yup - see article chet. They really had their own FIFA court in 2010. Again not sure about this time. Not sure if these courts are around for 2014 but look at the article for something that really happened in South Africa in '10:FIFA jails are no joke. Many stadiums are renovated and fenced off so that only FIFA approved products, like hot dogs and Budweiser, can be sold in stadiums, instead of allowing local vendors to sell their products. Aside from the commercial element, the temporary suspension of laws, and more shockingly, constitutional rights, which are usually only suspended in state of war or national emergency, can be a dangerous precedent.
In addition to these preparations, at the request of FIFA, South Africa also created World Cup specific FIFA World Cup courts. 56 World Cup Courts were established across South Africa, staffed with 1,500 personnel including magistrates, prosecutors, public defenders, and interpreters. These courts had jurisdictions over all crimes arising out of the World Cup tournament. These courts had an expedited trial process, in contrast to South Africa’s normal court system, which faces long delays. One case involved two Zimbabweans who robbed a foreign journalist on a Wednesday, were arrested on Thursday, stood trial, and then began 15-year jail sentences on Friday. The National Prosecuting Authority defended the courts, stating it was possible to mount a fair trial in 24 hours. This begs the question—if South Africa has proven that it can hold 24 hour trials for a man who stole two cans of Coke from a FIFA supported lounge, why can’t it do so for the many South African citizens who have to wait years for their day in court?
This just in: FIFA is sort of corrupt. Many stadiums are renovated and fenced off so that only FIFA approved products, like hot dogs and Budweiser, can be sold in stadiums, instead of allowing local vendors to sell their products. i thought he was already on the pitch missing all those goals, is he not?Surely the lethal finishing of Torres will save Spain.
I think after this display by Spain, Pique may be on the bench at home too.As bad as Spain has played today, Pique is still ####### Shakira tonight...he still wins
Pique is invisible out there, almost like they started someone else.I think after this display by Spain, Pique may be on the bench at home too.As bad as Spain has played today, Pique is still ####### Shakira tonight...he still wins
