So apparently Harbaugh is planning to up the ante on last year's summer swarm this year by having a whole week of spring practice at that AMG academy in FL.
I'm sure that's interesting to people that know what the hell you are talking about.
:lmao: IMG academy...sorry, was on my phone...so angry!!!
More context or a link?
Last summer he did a "tour" of all these high schools in the south where he was a "guest speaker" or some such to get around NCAA rules. He worked with a ton of different kids and got a couple signees out of the deal. College coaches in those areas didn't like it. This year apparently he wants to go to IMG for a whole week. 247 is where I read it last night....SB Nation has a similar article and also talks about what he did last year.
PSU's coach Franklin did that last year. SEC coaches were so butthurt over it. :lmao:
I think the SEC lifted their "50 mile rule" because of Harbaugh's summer tour last year....let them feast on each other

Rumor is Mackenzie Alexander might be out with a hamstring. If true, that would be just as big of a blow as Shaq Lawson. Alexander shuts down half the field.

Where are you getting news from bigmarc? I don't see anything about Alexander possibly missing and all the reports seem to indicate Lawson will play.

How will Alabama address Leggett at TE?

Can Clemson force Alabama to adjust offensively?

Those are the two things I am going to be watching in this game. If Clemson can score and force Alabama to alter their plan (to keep up with the scoring) what will that look like? Will Alabama try and use a LB to cover Leggett or go to some unconventional coverage scheme? To me, if you can get Alabama out of their comfort zone and force them to make adjustments, they're beatable, especially in the secondary.

What makes you think this? Hard for me to see any weaknesses on that defense.

go look at the games where they faced a decent QB this year, or last year for that matter. They were successful against Prescott, but he's a one man show. The rest? Not so much.

YEP, they may be young but they are athletic as hell.

If Lawson playing half speed that hurts but Clemson deep at DL. Losing Alexander is huge though. They can blitz a lot because he handles his business in one on one coverage.

And it's not as easy to play so many in the box (without blitzing)....goes to my query wondering if they can make Alabama step outside their comfort zone on offense.

That's the most important difference between this D and previous versions...the secondary. The 2 safeties are ex-DBs...they can play the pass better than the run, but we don't need them for the run. And the 3 CBs are looking like studs...Cyrus Jones and 2 freshman. That's the biggest reason we lost to OU and OSU the last 2 years.

I said earlier Clemson will have to successfully throw either downfield 1-on-1 or the run-pass option, attacking the young (talented but inexperienced) DBs.

There's the game we all wanted...great athletes making great plays, impactful coaching decisions, and a game of inches.

Great game bigmarc...tough losses only happen when you are playing for a lot. I'm sure you will again.

I sound like a dbag, but this is the 2nd best of the 4...a team counted out by many, with character players, who realized focusing on personal goals can hurt the team.

RTR baby!!!

Yeah man, you guys claim these for yourself don't you?
I'm not sure what you mean. I'm just happy Clemson lost. It was a great game and the Tigers had a great season, and I hated every second of it.

Alabama's win puts nothing in Carolina's trophy case and I would have pulled for almost anyone over Alabama ... almost anyone.

There are Carolina fans that said I should pull for Clemson because they are from our state, well if they had won it still wouldn't add to Carolina's trophy case.

The :) is just an expression of my happiness that my rival lost. I should actually fill an entire page with them.

God this means stupid ####ing baseball is almost back too. Which means June and July are right around the corner. Dammit.
