12 Team PPR

Team A gets: 2.09, 2016 1st

Team B gets: Lamar Miller
Not sure about this one. I was pretty down on Miller until last year, but he is only 23 years old and will be a FA after this season. Big, fast, and young. May be worth more than a late 2nd and a 2016 1st.
Depends on the 1st for me. Miller is a starter on one of my teams (with no decent backup), and I would take this if the 1st is likely in the 1.5-1.7 range.

Superflex Tiered PPR (.5/1/1.5)

Team A sends

Roddy White

Jason Witten

Team B sends

Mettenberger

Gates
You have to take the QB in a Superflex. I am pretty high on Meet. If he gets it together this could be a steal.
I took the QB, guy I traded with has Luck/Peyton/Jameis but his wideouts were Marshall/Robinson/Marqise Lee and no-one, I have OBJ, Evans, Green and Treadwell on devy so felt White was expendable, same as he did for Mett =) (I have Rodgers/Brees and wanted some youth for a possible Brees replacement)

Gave: Foster

Got: Torrey Smith

Was planning to ride Foster until he's done but with Forte/Peterson already in start 1 RB I decided to take a chance on Smith, even if it looks like he's out of Baltimore.

I think I will still take White and Witten. Not super confident Mett is the answer in TEN

Good move I think. Feel like Smith is in for a bit of a bump no matter where he ends up

FFPC

I traded CJ Anderson

I received a 2016 1st rounder

Earlier this offseason, same team:

I traded Deandre Hopkins

I received Jeremy Hill
Another trade was just now accepted in the same FFPC league:

I gave the 2015 1.8

I received a 2016 1st rounder.

The 1st rounder could be anywhere from the 1.1 to 1.12*. It was from a team that finished in 7th last year, thanks to Adrian Peterson.

*Due to the particular rules of the FFPC, draft positions are difficult to determine. Without this context, the information I have posted is pretty worthless in rendering an opinion on the trade.
Same team:

I traded: 2015 1.12, Doug Martin and Bishop Sankey

I received: 2016 1st, the 2015 3.05 (plus 3 players I will be dropping).

The 2016 1st is another who knows (due to FFPC draft rules – see above). The team made the playoffs last year but is another middle of the road team for 2015.

These future 1sts are expensive, but I have historically had to overpay for future 1sts in this league. The owners in this league have been reluctant to trade away the future (as they probably should be in a $2,500 league).
And finally,

I traded Jeremy Maclin, 1.5 and two 2016 SSTs

I received AJ Green

Seems like a mild overpay. However, the two firsts were obtained for 1.8 + 1.12 + Sankey and Martin. All in all, I traded the 1.5, 1.8, 1.12, Maclin, Sankey and Martin for AJ Green and the 3.05. If you like Sankey and/or Martin even in the slightest, thats a lot for one player. It seems a lot to me any way I look at it, but it seems even moreso broken out this way. It shows that a little overpay here and an overpay there, when taken in the aggregate, ends up looking like a big overpay. That said, I didn't begin this series of trades with acquiring AJ Green or any other elite player in mind, so I choose not to look at it this way (but instead just a series of independent trades).

The opportunity to acquire AJ Green arose only after another team paid less to get him (1.3, J. Mathews + Moncrief), and I went in with the bigger offer. When a player like Green goes on the market (which is rare), I do what I can to acquire the player to keep the player from falling into the wrong hands (perhaps never to be seen again).

ETA: If the 1.5 + Maclin is roughly the 1.1, then 1.1 + 2 desirable 1sts (which these are due to the FFPC draft rules) is too much to pay for any one player. So, for further rationalization, I must rely on the comfort that AJ Green is a safe place to keep value for a few years. That value has no potential to go up (and can only go down over time due to aging), but it is as safe as any other asset right now. Kind of like holding a portion of a financial portfolio in cash (safe but for inflation).

Is it start 1 RB max or min?

Not a huge fan of Torrey no matter where he ends up, but if he would start for you while Foster never would, it could make sense.

Minimum, we can start up to 5.

Probably don't like it then. If it was 1 RB max I could see it. I understand taking a shot on someone while Foster still has some value, I just don't think Torrey is that guy. I think we've seen enough of him to gauge that him becoming a good fantasy asset is somewhat of a longshot. And with Forte/Peterson, it seems like you have a team that will be competing this year so still have use for Foster.

I look at it this way:

Eifert + White/Cooper for Jimmy.

Then the higher end lottery picks you'll draft in the early 2nd (which pan out more often then not in some capacity)

Received: 1.02

I also own 1.03, 1.04, 1.05 so now getting 4 of Gurley, Gordon, Cooper, White, Parker. Or at least three of them and the ability to cash in on a high pick on draft night.

Team I traded to had multiple holes to fill at just about every position. Seems like a win win.

Team B traded Eifert,1.3, 2.3, 2.9
Id take Eifert + Picks
Me too
Graham and not that close for me.
+1
Yep Jimmy for me
Graham and not even close for me. People are selling really low on him right now and I can't understand why. Yes, he had a 'down' year by his standards, but he was banged up a bit and that whole team was a mess this year.

WR needy team gets Jordan Mathews, Marvin Jones, Blackmon

QB needy team gets Roethlisberger, Khiry Robinson, 2016 2nd
Based on the trade I assume this is a Superflex. If not, I would gladly take the WR's in this deal.
Start 1QB, PPR, 12 team, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, RB/WR/TE flex

Pretrade

WR needy team

Rodgers, Roethlisberger

Murray, Forte, Forsett, Asiata, Bradshaw, Blue, Rainey, Benny Cunningham, Hillman, Khiry, Woodhead, Kendall Hunter

Dez, Watkins, Sanu, Royal

Olsen, Reed, Rivera

QB needy team

Glennon, Osweiler, Bradford

JStew, McKinnon, Latavius Murray, Riddley, Brice Brown

Jordy Nelson, Jeffery, Boldin, Jordon Mathews, James Jones, Michael Floyd, Woods, Marlon Brown, Jeff Janis, Blackmon, Marvin Jones

Gates, JT, Cook, Willson

I have the WR needy team, but I think we both benefited. Roethlisberger is so undervalued IMO that I hated moving him, but getting Mathews eased the pain

Wow. How did he let his QB situation get that bad in a 12 teamer? decent trade for both sides, but I don't think his team is anywhere near ready to compete. Even after the deal. I would have gone after a younger QB like Tannehill

Well he's filled the "guys I can drop during roster cut down" holes. Now he can work on filling those other holes.

Agree. Filling the roster with junk will get him nowhere.

Hard to get excited about any of those players, owned all except Bowe among my leagues but didn't feel comfortable starting any of them (and was usually sorry when I did). Maybe Robinson will be the starter in NO and Woods might evolve more than an emergency flex in PPR leagues, but for the most part this is roster filler just above waiver wire fodder. There is not much of a market for any of these players right now and while the 1.08 and 2.01 represented good value in 2014, I tend to think that year was an outlier. Hope the guy who traded the 1.02 ends up with at least one good player out of this mess.

I assume you meant to say hope the guy who gave the 1.02 gets at least one good player?

Or maybe you were implying that you don't feel strongly about this draft at all?

I received the 1.02 and really made the deal with the other guy because he was looking to draft a wr at 1.02. I think the wr talent is pretty deep in this draft and it's very possible he gets a wr at 1.08 who is as good or possibly better than at 1.02. Possibly green beckham vs cooper.

I also think the 2.01 will net a decent player. Possibly best qb or TE in the draft based on the way our league drafts.

I certainly made the deal hoping to get the best player but that's unfortunately not a guarantee.

Yes, I meant to say the guy that got the players and picks hopefully gets at least one good player. I think you were a winner in what IMO was a lopsided trade by getting the 1.02 for that dreck.
