I'm surprised, but I shed no tears for Mixon.Well NFL isn't letting Mixon go to the combine. I'm no mixon apologist but seems ####ty the league wants to screw with him instead of give him a chance. Goodell could bring him in and put him on a zero tolerance policy with domestic violence but screwing with him after he went through the courts as an 18 year old seems over the top.
They just implemented the rule. Zamora from Baylor can't go either.tyreek hill went to the combine. makes sense.
That deserves a drink.http://footballscoop.com/news/report-sark-leaving-alabama-for-nfl/
Steve Sarkisian is set to become the Falcons’ offensive coordinator, according to a report from Huffington Post sports columnist Jordan Schultz.
That was quick.

I'm pretty shocked as to how little press the Baylor stuff got compared to Penn State and Winston. It looks like they will completely get away with no punishment at all.
Not good from the standpoint of the upside I think he had and the continuity. Huge risk for Sark too. But Saban will have options and has won with guys like Doug Nussmeier. Assume the new guy will be west-coast styled. Timing is also good.http://footballscoop.com/news/report-sark-leaving-alabama-for-nfl/

I wonder if we won't see Rick Neuheisel back into coaching as OC?Not good from the standpoint of the upside I think he had and the continuity. Huge risk for Sark too. He seems to be openly campaigning on his show, but I don't think he's a candidate in this case. A bunch of names are out there now, his isn't one.Mad Cow said:I wonder if we won't see Rick Neuheisel back into coaching as OC?
I like it. Hopefully he stays for a fewLooks like Bama is hiring Brian Daboll as OC...from Belichick's staff, who he was apparently grooming to take over for McDaniels when he leaves. New Bama Fan chant is obvious...'Run Daboll!'. Will also be pro-style I'm sure.
He's basically a radio form of Jerry Springer. He brings on guests from the worst parts of fanbases and lets them embarrass themselves for ratings. That's essentially it.Can I ask a serious question? I consider myself a decent college football fan; I know my strengths and more importantly my weaknesses. I saw Eric Dickerson play for SMU, Herschel Walker in the Cotton Bowl, been to the Rose Bowl....
I have no idea who Paul Finebaum is or why he is relevant to college football. He looks like an 8th grade Latin teacher. Why does he matter. Like, at all. I don't know why I'm supposed to care about this guy. Did he play? Coach? Is he a writer? What does he do? I do not get it.
This is spot on. He does not matter, you're not missing a thing. He's basically a radio form of Jerry Springer. He brings on guests from the worst parts of fanbases and lets them embarrass themselves for ratings. That's essentially it.
The Michigan fanbase, along with the rest of the country is laughing at him. It's about as far away from "hot and bothered" as the north pole is from the south pole...well, unless you take a select few and project them to the greater sum.The fact that Finebaum tears in Michigan more than most other schools and gets them all hot and bothered by itself is cause enough for his existence.
Oh he likes to talk about MichiganThe Michigan fanbase, along with the rest of the country is laughing at him. It's about as far away from "hot and bothered" as the north pole is from the south pole...well, unless you take a select few and project them to the greater sum.
As I said, I look forward to Finebaum's ranting and raving over Taggert hiring Johnson as the WR coach (the new rumor and most likely scenario) should it happen. I'm sure he's just trying to look out for the student athletes and "integrity" of NCAA football
Of course he does. That wasn't disputed, just the part that his talking about them left them "hot and bothered"Oh he likes to talk about MichiganThe Michigan fanbase, along with the rest of the country is laughing at him. Exactly, and a lot of his guests are actors. College football is 24/7 , 365 in the south on radio...they need help filling the time. He's basically a radio form of Jerry Springer. If this is true, I am very disappointedExactly, and a lot of his guests are actors. Definitely true..I have a friend in the industry. But some of the crazies are real...so there's that to hold on to...just not sure who are which. If this is true, I am very disappointed
IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Definitely true..I have a friend in the industry. But some of the crazies are real...so there's that to hold on to...just not sure who are which.
I know a ton of Michigan fans and I've never once heard them mention this guy. What are you talking about? The fact that Finebaum tears in Michigan more than most other schools and gets them all hot and bothered by itself is cause enough for his existence.
Pete Finebaum talks about Michigan because no other team in the Big 10 gets ratings, unless they get caught for cheating.I know a ton of Michigan fans and I've never once heard them mention this guy. What are you talking about?

Louisiana high school coach who 'banned' Alabama from campus fired
Yeah, that's not the only reason he was fired. Guy's been pissing people off for years. I have little doubt though that denying the #1 program in the country access to his players was a bad idea.No one in the LA school system wanted their kids best option being Orgeron.
Seriously though he's supposedly been a problem for a while.
Does any school ever win doing that? The school said it will fight that charge.
Not when the NCAA is this far up your a$$. It's hammer time.Does any school ever win doing that?
Ole Miss paid some kid 13k and then he went to another school anyways.
We'll see it...when the NCAA sends 2 NOAs and charges include LOIC, they will close the deal. And Ole Miss has actually admitted to several major violations. As with all things NCAA, believe when you see it.
LmaoOle Miss paid some kid 13k and then he went to another school anyways.
Supposedly that was Leo Lewis. Logged 6 tackles, 1 sack and 1.5 tackles for loss in the Egg Bowl.Ole Miss paid some kid 13k and then he went to another school anyways.
It's pretty widely spread at this point that Nkimdeche was a $250k payout.
Buddy in sports talk here was telling me some crazy #### they can't talk about on he radio due to sources and whatnot. Mid 6 figures to a pair of brothers... Freese prob gone this week and likely looking at 4-8yr show cause... 2yr bowl ban... scholarships... all kinds of goodies rumored to be coming. Haven't been watching twitter today since talking so no idea what has or hasn't come to a head.
As with all things NCAA, believe when you see it.
