Official 2016 GOP thread: Is it really going to be Donald Trump?? (2 Viewers)

I honestly miss Rand Paul. Not sure why he dropped out when he did with a week till New Hampshire, I always thought he might have some surprising numbers there.

He's never win so it is a moot point but he was an excellent addition to the debates

Did Marco not get the memo that Hillary isn't on stage tonight?
You prefer R on R crime?
I prefer he just answer the questions without going into canned soundbites about Hillary.
I know what he's doing - driving home that he is the candidate to defeat Hillary - but it's kind of an awkward strategy at this stage of the game when everyone else on stage is attacking you.
Yeah I mean I get it, he's trying to appear like he's the choice for the general election. He does that a lot, and in doses i think it can be helpful. It just seems like he's played that card a lot lately.

He's the only true conservative, just like his father.

Yeah I think going after Hillary is a better strategy than going after Obama or even the other GOP candidates.
Not that it's important to these guys, but doesn't it help Hillary against Bernie? It makes undecided Democrats think that she's the one they fear.
I don't think that's in their calculation but I think if you asked any of them they'll attack Hillary and if it's Bernie they like their chances.

Is there a bigger hater in the GOP than Christie? He undercut Romney and tonight he tried to sink Rubio. He has nothing to offer other than negativity.

Well hes a moderate, so thats why it looks like that.

Not that the GOP is even remotely concerned with an electable candidate, pick one of three religious fanatics/megalomaniacs.

ABC is saying just what us experts at FBGs have been saying, Rubio was the clear loser. I can't see how anyone would think otherwise.

Kasich was a big winner IMHO

In the battle for the sane wing:

Rubio got exposed badly

Christie was too negative

Jeb was Jeb....

I like Rand more than his dad. With his dad, I can't get past the gold standard, his newsletter and the donations from Stormfront.

Rubio took a big hit tonight.

I thought Kasich was good

Cruz did ok, he had a few pauses where it seemed like he was grasping for what to say

Trump did well

Carson should go away, same for Christie
