It is actually is more likely they'd be trading for Garappolo at this point.  Contractually it's much easier and makes more sense.  They have the picks to do it.  Like trade their remaining 1st for him with some other junk next year.

That's probably the biggest reason Howard is sliding. So many teams with the need figure they can get a real good one in round 2-4.

I think he is going to be really good, but he benefits from really good performances the last two national championship games.  Plus, this is a really good TE class
