IF they lose...DAL isn't in charge of their own destiny anymore. COME ON ATL!

yeah i have been saying this for awhile. Saints and Seatlle was who i was concerned about, and Seattle is out of that picture a bit with all of their injuries.Don't think they can stop our O and our run D is tough but they are not the Saints we usually think off as an indoor only track team.
Very dangerous.
Don't love that they'll be in desperation mode and at home. But that week off is huge for us. Can't wait for that game.If the lose, the Eagles can run away and hide with the division with a win in Dallas next week.
Well the Zeke injury really hurts them. They're MUCH better with him. They also have the firepower to keep up from an offensive point of view. If they get hot, they're dangerous. That "If" is thankfully looking a lot less likely these days.yeah i have been saying this for awhile. Still no idea what some of you guys in here were seeing with the Cowboys as a big threat to the Eagles. Granted Atl was very motivated today with the national stage, but the Cowboys really don't have anything that concerns me.
Been saying this for a good 1 1/2yrs now He was not impressive in College either. We can put to bed the utterly recockulous argument that Prescott is on the same planet as Wentz. Without Elliot and one starting lineman, he stinks. He also blows in bad weather.
Well that's easy to say when the Cowboys are without the top runner in the league, and one of the top left tackles in the league. Obviously the Cowboys don't have the depth that some teams like the Eagles have, but when their starters are all in they are dangerous. I don't know what Smith's status is for next week, but it would be nice if he was out.yeah i have been saying this for awhile. Cowboys with Zeke are an 11 win team. Without, probably 8 or 9. No longer a threat.yeah i have been saying this for awhile. Saints and Seatlle was who i was concerned about, and Seattle is out of that picture a bit with all of their injuries.

They would have lost with Zeke today. Not having Tyrone Smith was the killer.Cowboys with Zeke are an 11 win team. Without, probably 8 or 9. No longer a threat.
Saints and Rams are my concern.
Sean Lee leaving early hurt them too. They would have lost with Zeke today. Not having Tyrone Smith was the killer.
i really don't think there is a ton of difference between Elliot and Morris/McFadden. I didn't see the game, and maybe i view those guys higher then others, but this is the same Zeke who got 8 yards againt Denver earlier this year.dhockster said:Well that's easy to say when the Cowboys are without the top runner in the league, and one of the top left tackles in the league. Wow! Morris/McFadden are horrible and Zeke is an elite RB in the league. Huge, huge difference.i really don't think there is a ton of difference between Elliot and Morris/McFadden. He’s a bad coach. The failure to adjust even a little after the half was just awful on his part.Watching the Dallas game reminded me how mediocre of a coach Garrett is.
Surprised a Steelers fan would admit that! They're playing well too and could be in the conversation. THere's a lot of elite teams (or at least elite records) this year.Although you can never rule out the Patriots, the 3 best teams in football are in the NFC. If the Eagles win HF, fortunately they would likely only have to face one of those other teams in the playoffs. Not sure even the Patriots could take out any of those 3 teams (although I've had many regrets in the past ruling that team out).
Why are you surprised? Yes I'm a Steelers fan but I've never been a homer. The Steelers have a good record but they're not an elite team by any measure. The Eagles are elite on both sides of the ball. The Rams are right there with them. Goff and Wentz both look great.Surprised a Steelers fan would admit that! I think the steelers could hang with any of those teams. Why are you surprised? Yes I'm a Steelers fan but I've never been a homer. If the Rams end up with a bye, you're definitely in trouble because that would mean that they are a dominant team. Look at their schedule and tell me that they shouldn't lose at least 3 more games. Brutal schedule. Eagles and Saints should cruise to the byes (sorry I don't trust the Vikings enough with Keenum as their QB)I think the steelers could hang with any of those teams.
It's a shame there's so many elite teams in the NFC. We're 8-1 and would have to think our odds of getting a first round bye are really only about 60% or so. We could have a 13 or 14 win team without a bye.
love the optimism. You might be right on the rams... just looking at their schedule, that's tough. They get New Orleans, Minny, Philly, and Seattle all within a month. If the Rams end up with a bye, you're definitely in trouble because that would mean that they are a dominant team. I doubt we'll have a 13+ team without a bye, but who knows...I think the steelers could hang with any of those teams.

I found Eagles -3.What's the opening line? My office blocks betting sites.
That Defensive PI on HOU on the INT TD screwed my fantasy team yesterday. We both have one guy going tonight but instead of being down by 8 I'm down by almost 20. He's got Drake and Someone else tonight and I got Funchess so I got to hope Cam actually shows up and throws consistently tonightWatched the Rams/Texans game until it got out of hand in the 3rd quarter. With Tom Savage and an absolutely horrendous offensive line, and an okay defense, the Texans should have been up at half 13-6, but trailed 9-7 due to a missed FG (34 yards) and a turnover deep in the Rams territory late in the first half that cost the Texans 3 points and allowed the Rams to drive for 3 points before halftime. While the final score looked good, I did not come away very impressed with the Rams.
If the Eagles run defense can contain Gurley, then I think the Eagles should be able to handle Goff and the passing game.
The Saints on the other hand may give the Eagles D trouble with their 2 running backs and Drew Brees. The Eagles really need to get home field advantage, as that could be the difference in beating the Saints in the playoffs.
I know I wouldn't. I have a co worker I work with and I almost choked him out and put his head through the wall the other night. Reminds me on Wright but in other ways. Both are D-bags. Wright was backtracking on twitter after his comments btw.I love the new thread title. "Time to bury some cockroaches".

I can't wait to hear what excuses Nick Wright says next week.
I can't believe CC puts up with his ignorance.

Thoughts on LA offensive line? How would they match up with our DL?Watched the Rams/Texans game until it got out of hand in the 3rd quarter. Texans were containing the run fairly well. Not much pass rush, other than Clowney, but that's more on the Texans due to their injuries. I think our Dline will do very well against them.Thoughts on LA offensive line? How would they match up with our DL?
What a shock Sean Lee injured. Never have seen a guy so injured before with so much talent. Wonder if any of that has to do with the PEDs. Him and Dan Connor who's a local kid in my Area were really good friends and a lot of Dan's struggles were attributed to a huge PED use in HS. Dan went to Strath Haven and around the league there were reports of people seeing coaches shoot up the players behind the benches and other stuff which is why the SH players were so much bigger and better then everyone else. Sen and Dan were very good friends in college and Paterno also knew about Dan's PED use even in College and hid it. One of the coaches who now coaches at my school said Paterno threatened a Professor to pass Dan even though he hadn't attended class for most of the semester or he'd have them terminated from the program. Either way Dan and Sean were roommates in college and rumors from people in the know is Sean got hooked on them too. I think he stopped taking them though after the NFL really got strict on their PED suspensions but the after effect of these dam things are horrible depending what you take. Granted take it with a grain of salt but I wouldn't be surprised if Lee's injuries are from PED use. Even if you took them for a short time these drugs have huge effects later on.Sean Lee ruled out this week.
well, it did go pretty well when he was there before. With Sherman done, Byron Maxwell signing with Seattle. That should go swimmingly.
Not trying to be confrontational, but have you see how well the run defense has played this year? I'm not sure why anyone would predict that they would have a difficult time, especially without Zeke. Not impossible of course, just don't know why you would perceive there being a decent chance of it.Cowboys fan here. Sean Lee being out is the biggest issue we have. Not Zeke or even Tyrone Smith (as bad as Chaz Green played last week).
No doubt you guys caught us at a good time, but there's no excuses in the NFL. Injuries & suspensions are a part of the game.
Doesn't look good for us, but if Tyrone is able play, this could be a ballgame. There's a decent chance you guys will have a difficult time with our running game even without Zeke. You also have some issues in the secondary so getting yards in the air will mostly depend on our pass protection (again, if Tyrone is active).
On the other side of the ball, Lee seems to be our whole run defense. If I was DC, I'd key the run. Sounds counterintuitive, but we're going to have to hope our pass rush can get to Wentz & cause havoc. We have a couple of nasty pass-rushers so we need to take advantage of Peters being out. Vaitai is going to have a difficult time with DeMarcus Lawrence & David Irving is a handful inside.
Being at home will help, but we're certainly a fairly big underdog as things stand right now.
