*Official 2018 Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles* - Tough way to go out. Magic finally gone. (1 Viewer)

Why would Grugier-Hill say that?
Not smart to say but we all know how true it is. Dal the last couple of yrs has always looked good to start then December comes and they find every way manageable to lose game. they haven't been a great DEC team for awhile

6 of our last 7 games we've given up over 100 yards rushing.  If we want to win Sunday, we need to stop that bleeding.  Plain and simple, if Elliot runs at will again we lose.  Last year we held team to 3.8 y/a rushing. This year we're at 5.0.  All the difference in the world.  Not really sure why, either. Vinny Curry and Michal Kendricks that much more important then we realized?
maybe. take away the 90 yard run from AD and the run defense held up well

all of this.
I've thought of this myself. If you are on one of these teams and can't be fired up without some quote people should question why you are even on the roster. Go play for a team where their old rivalry doesn't mean a crap as historically as this or maybe better yet find a different job.

Fantasy related question: I've got Wentz and Prescott. Have Wentz in and some of that is homerism sure. I also think I'm a slight underdog and belive Wentz has a higher ceiling. Anyone convince me why I should maybe play the other dude?
I just can't. Dak at best is a game manager. He's heavy dependent on how Zeke does and even then you got the questionable Jason Garrett calling Plays. Carson is one of the potential elite young studs in the league. He could go off at any point this season. The Eagles the last few yrs no matter who's been at QB have had success at Jerry World. Take the higher ceiling guy and think nothing of it after

I get it but I feel like if a Dallas player had made that type of quote, you may be singing a different tune.       It should have zero impact on the game but still must be frustrating as a fan that he would make such an idiotic comment before the game.  I'm a Steelers fan so I've seen plenty of idiotic comments like this in the past few years.  I will say that it was nice to see Pederson basically call him out.  Tomlin wouldn't do that.

Honestly I think a lot of athletes have become soft. Too much of hey lets be friends especially in the NBA and NFL. I miss the days of guys calling each other out and games getting a bit chippy (Not to the extent where all hell breaks lose but it shows the players really give a dam and take pride of the Uniform they are wearing especially against a rival). I feel we are missing that in sports. I definitely don't want it to turn into Pitt/CIncy last year but I'll admit I did enjoy guys taking some extra effort on hits and finally giving a dam about the rivalry. The cheap shots on either side wasn't needed and if that wasn't there in that game we're talking some old fashion football right there many fans miss. There's definitely times of being an idiot. Jalen Ramsey last year comes to mind but I miss the trash talking sense of it. I'll admit I laughed at the comment because it's true no matter what. If you can say that and it gets into the Cowboys head and they start thinking about that then the game then the comment did it's job. It shouldn't but athlete minds don't work like they should sometimes for whatever reason. It's almost as much mental as is physical. I just wished players showed more care about rivalries like they use too. Too much stroking one another and not enough I hate them. Makes me sick

oh man, that is tough. i think you got to go emotional here. if you want to cushion the blow in case Dallas wins take Dak.

Yeah I can't do it. I'm 99% of the time rational and calculating with Fanstay but still, out of all my teams and all the years I've played, Cowboys by far are almost never even on my team. Only reason I have Prescott is its a super flex and I also have Luck and had to take Prescott as that all important 3rd qb in that type of league. I'd rather go down swinging with our boy.

Would you like me to list our defensive backs for the game? That should be enough to sway you.

We beat Eli and Mark Sanchez and IMO didn’t look good doing it. Now you have Kamu Grugier-Hill of all people talking ####. It’s so unreal how forced everything with this team seems this year.

Dallas has this thing lined up perfectly and I can’t see us beating them on the road. They should win this game easily IMO.

Fair point. But ya know what? This time of year in fantasy, you play the better players. Our boy is better. I'm gonna put my money where my mouth is and play the better qb from the BETTER team LOL. I don't care about Dallas' win over N.O. Every year a team will win one they should lose and vice versa.

Say it with me boys and girls--DALLAS SUCKS!!!!

Let's go with the obviously true "the truth lies somewhere in the middle" of these two statements.  Dallas is better than us and likely wins, but not sure it'll be a blowout.  Something like 24-17.

Ugh.  Was suspended from the pool for over a week for one comment I made on here.  Apparently people get upset reading words they don't like.

Well. It was a short reign as champions. Great 2017 year.  Sucks not even getting a chance to defend the title.

That last play seriously is our season in a nutshell. Even when we do right it ends up wrong.

Hoping for a good draft pick now and Howie has to hit or it’s going to be bad again.

Well we should lose to the Rams no problem. Probably Houston too. Washington I don't think they could lose to if we tried right now. Probably 7-9. I guess that'll get us about 12-18 pick wise.

Hard to be mad about that game. The Eagles played hard and with heart. D-line gave them a chance, secondary was marginally better, offense had at least a few big plays. Still thought they should have gone for 2 on the last TD as our D was just gassed at that point

If you were to tell me we'd have a season like this in 2018 win the SB in 17 when this whole thing started with Pederson in charge I'd take it no problem

Secondary outside of Sidney Jones was good

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm surprised we scored any pts on offense.  We looked completely inept most of the game

This is physically the worst I've ever felt for a loss other than being at the last game at The Vet.
Meh. Obviously wanted to win, but had no illusions that the NFC East winner was going to make any noise at all in the playoffs. It's just not a good year for the Eagles. In the big picture, it's better to have a better draft pick and easier schedule next year. Take the rest of the year and get the guys healed up bring the team back healthy next year.  I wouldn't care if they sat Wentz now and give him more time to be 100% to start next season. he looks like the whites of old in the fourth quarter today, but overall, he's not playing with the confidence he did last year. His numbers are still great, but anyone can see that he's not MVP caliber like last year.

What game were you watching? Guess you missed Cooper schooling our street FA for an 80 yarder? And Jones gave up 400 of those yards himself?
Jones was horrendous today. Missed tackles, burned on the TD to Cooper almost burned on a second on a miss fired by Dax deep and another Miss Fire to Gallup. He was absolutely awful. Not to mention he hurt himself again. Never saw why so many people blew their loads over this guy to begin with.

He sucks.  If he's not out there sucking he's hurt.  He needs to be cut or be demoted to like 4th string

I just never got the praise this guy got in College. I was a lot more excited about the Douglas pick and he's produced more so then Jones. He had a heck of a game today and last year that last play goes our way can't fault him there. Here's the list of talent we could've had over him

JuJu Schuster-Smith
Quincy Wilson
Tez Tabor
Dion Dawkins
Alvin Kamara
Cooper Kupp

Let that sink in

Going into the offseason I think everyone knows the DBs will be top priority.

Other than that I feel we don’t have a solid deep threat and of course a decent 3 down back.

The play calling on offense has gone to #### btw.  Not sure what is wrong.  Probably the fact we can't run the ball to save our lives

Agreed. I continue to be shocked at how many throws he misses every week.  He looked All-World last year and I am now wondering if we will ever see that Carson Wentz again.  Don't get me wrong, on the list of things wrong with the Eagles, Wentz is not near the top of the list, but enough things are wrong to where your QB being just a little off makes it impossible to overcome all of those things.

I'm not worried at all about Wentz. In the fourth quarter today, he looked like the Wentz from last year. He's one of the top five quarterbacks in the league. It's not uncommon to be a little tentative and 'off' when coming back from an ACL injury. He also had other damage besides the ACL.  I'm more concerned with the offense in general. It just looks so unoriginal. Last year was so innovative and hard to defend.

Good points!

Getting over an ACL is just as much mental as physical. You would think he'll be over it in both ways by next summer.

And I totally agree about the offense.  This year it just looks so bland.  It's like they can't figure out what their identity is.

CB:  Broudy-Calhoun and Bradley Roby are the guys I'd target at CB Draft DeAndre Baker, Greedy Williams, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, and its a dam Shame non of the UM boys are eligible yet

RB: Tevin Coleman, TJ Yeldon, Ameer Abdullah, See what it might take to resign Ajayi (Maybe he takes a discount given the injury), Doug Martin. Draft Bryce Love, Bennie Snell. Jordan Scarlett and LaMicheal Perine not just because they are Florida guys but Florida runs the RPO stuff we do as well, Rodney Anderson First round talent who was out for the year could be had later in the draft, If we are looking for a gem in Late in the Draft or high priory FA Raquian Armstead from Temple

WR: Devin Funchess, Phillip Dorsett, Check on Tate either way, Draft AJ Brown, Deebo Samuel, Tyrie Cleveland is explosive but has been injured in College a lot could be had in mid rounds.

Whats with him?  Hurt, or just not good?  He was getting beat left and right - looked like he just couldn't keep up with anyone.
Both but even when he was healthy he looked bad. Today might have been his worst game of his NFL career. The problem is too many people aren't going after him because of how overhyped he and he's suppose to be the one. People seem to want to bash the street guys. Look I get it but its expected of those guys. Jones is apparently suppose to be a top talent and isn't even close to that. Play more like he should never be on a football field.
