*Official 2018 Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles* - Tough way to go out. Magic finally gone. (2 Viewers)

I was willing to believe that Bennett did bad and it's finally coming to light but that press conference by the last police chief was really weird. He mentioned entitled football player thinking he owns the world like 3 or 4 times. Someone clearly with an axe. It was very unprofessional.
I heard that interview too.  No clue what really happened, but it certainly seemed like he was motivated and had an axe to grind.  NFL discipline is one thing (if there's even a hint of truth he should be suspended for a few games), I think a good lawyer will tear this apart though from a criminal perspective.

Here's some interesting news. In all the Bennet Hoopla his Brother Marcus TE retired after 10 yrs in the NFL

In other news Dallas Signed WR former Jaguar Allen Hurns yesterday. According to Yahoo's Jordan Schultz of the Schultz Reported this move could lead Dal to releasing Dez Bryan

Oh I like the trade. Still do talent wise. But I also wouldn't care if they cut the guy if he purposely injured an elderly, wheel chair security guard. Which is kind of weird to have for Super Bowl security right? That's not really securing anything.
A 66 year old parapalegic woman in a wheel chair is not security, she is a hall monitor. Not saying Bennett didn't do what they say he did, but it makes the Texans look ridiculous. I love the fact that they hire people with disabilities, just put them in a job that they are able to do properly.

And if Bennett did what they said, I have no problem with the NFL suspending him, or the Eagles cutting him.

I am curious as to what the Eagles knew about this when they acquired Bennett. They probably had all the information which is why they got him for just a 7th round pick and Marques Johnson.

Someone found Video on his sisters social media of her and Micheal on the field that was posted after the game. It still doesn't show anything from the time the game ended and how they ended up on the field though. Seems odd they wouldn't let family on the field and they didn't have ID? My co worker got on the field immediately when the Eagles won to see her son without issue. I'll have to ask her when I see her hopefully Tues if she needed a pass or not or how they did that. Maybe I can bring a bit of insight on how the families get on the field and how that is handled hopefully. I usually don't ask her a lot about her son and team at work because she does offer up herself info to me.

here is the video:

and apparently bennett had a field pass on the whole time because he was on the field pre-game and was on ESPN after the game

Did I really see a headline that said the NFL will investigate fan behavior from the NFCCG? :lmao:
Yep here's the article. I guess the moral of the story is ##### enough after your city and media pokes the bear you'll be helped. I think the NFL needs to consider everything involved here from what happened at the Rocky statue to what Minny Media was saying the week prior to the game and such too. This isn't defending any bad behavior but just hearing from people who were at the game there were Viking Fans inside the stadium who weren't such angels. Remember the one video of the Viking fan being escorted out of the stadium I believe we had on here? She was spitting on people and the guy she was with another Vikings fan stayed the rest of the game and kept apologizing to everyone near him for her behavior. If the NFL realy wants to investigate something though I got numerous material of social media post of Viking fans threatening harm and making terroristic threats if they want to entertain that. I'm sure other Eagles fans would too. Moral of the story. Don't talk #### on another teams city especially when you are the biggest chokers in the NFL when it comes to big games, then come here and do #### like you did to the Rocky statue and other stuff and expect a friendly welcome into enemy territory when you get to the game. This was incredible tame compared to what I heard from Phillies fans at the 08 and 09 playoff games against the Dodgers. The one thing in this article I'm upset about is no where in this article does it mention they were asking Eagles fans for input too. Seems a bit one sided. Yes they asked the Eagles and PPD for help but why not ask some of the fans especially season ticket holders?

Yo, its a movie prop.  One your own City tried to move out and off of their property because, its a movie prop.  It is not some Michelangelo work of art about the Virgin Mary that bleeds every Sabbath and cures the crippled, its a movie prop. And what was their sacrilege, their denigration of the object, they posed in front of it displaying their team flag.  Newsflash, lots of folks go to tourist attractions in major cities and pose for pics with  regalia showing where they are from.  It was not an insult, not a challenge, not raping and pillaging, it was tourism.  If you take that as provocation you lack maturity.

BTW, congrats to the Eagles on pummeling the Vikings and putting a stake through the heart of the Patriots.  Here it is late March and the scores have not changed.  the Eagles remain Super Bowl champs, a title they will hold for at least another 10 months.

Admittedly, it's not like they peed on the Liberty Bell, but it wasn't as innocuous as you're describing. They dressed the statue in Vikings garb. So the intent was certainly to provoke and "insult" something they knew meant something to the city and fans. Players, coaches, game day staff, etc. walk on the star at the 50 yard-line in Dallas all the time. But T.O. standing on it after a TD was meant to provoke and insult.

Also, the city never wanted to move it. It was the Art Commission that originally voted to move it, before voting to bring it back after many city officials (and fans) fought for it.

Check out this nugget, from a story posted on the team's website:

The fans gobbled up the emotion and the merchandise, breaking 30-day NFL post-Super Bowl sales records in all of six days.
So, we broke the previous 30-day sales record for SB merchandise in 6 days. Wow.

They didn't!  Not Viking garb!  Well that tears it!

One report said neither the Eagles nor Seahawks knew about this until the indictment was announced.

I think you are missing the point buddy. This wasn't some group of tourist posing with it. This was a group of people mocking the city and fanbase. I guess you didn't see all the News reporters in Minny who determined our city almost as unsafe as Set, Chi or Camden? Called our fans thugs and gangs, etc. We'll just say Minny fans are soft. They can talk #### but can't take it. Cant take the heat get out of the kitchen. Lets also not act like Viking fans are innocent. We all saw the video of Viking fans beating up Saints fans after the game and the Saints fan only getting involved after a 14 YRS OLD SAINTS FAN WAS ASSAULtED BY VIKING FANS and Minny Police trying to blame the whole thing on NO Fans before someone with video proof stopped it.

Saints fans beat up Viking fans including a minor. Cops try to blame NO Fans for fight

Which puts it back on Bennett, correct? Shouldn’t he have informed Seattle about this or did he not know until recently either?
Unless he knew about it I don't think theres not much that can be done. If he did and didn't inform anyone I think the Eagles could void the deal especially if Bennett is found guilty.

I have no love for some Vikings fans.  I'm saying the whole lot of you all are conflated and immature.  Its a football game Buddy.  Gain some perspective.  As of right now, you are sounding like part of the problem.

Anyhow, congratulations.  Enjoy the Championship.  It was a long time coming and well earned.

Uh no honestly we don't care if people like us or not. We just find Viking fans crying about all of this hilarious. Their media and fans poked the bear with comments they made well before the game. The bear fought back and now they are crying about it. They are like the school yard bully who bullies all the kids but finally someone stands up to him and gives him a bloody nose. He then goes crying to his parents and acts like he was the victim. Same thing here. And last I checked Eagles fans weren't threatening to bomb a parade either. Finally I guess you don't understand what that statue represents to us. We've already gone over this countless times. The movie Rocky was about a blue collard underdog never given a chance who came back and won. A lot of blue collard people in this city can relate to the Rocky story despite it not being a real story. Actually the story is based on Chuck Webener who is from NYC. For yrs we've held the statue of the symbol of us never giving up despite others giving up on us. Clearly there more then just a movie to us. But hey if you want to stay ignorant about it then please by all means go ahead and make yourself look like a #####.

Meet The Real Rocky

I like my collards green, not blue, thank you.  As for the rest of your post thanks for being the stereotype and not the new direction.  I love the classics.  it amuses me that your back is up, even a bit, over this whole thing.

Since there was no arrest, I would guess it's possible he didn't know until recently and never thought twice about it, but I have no idea how something like this goes down.  You would think they would get a statement from him if it went to a grand jury, no?

The whole thing seems just weird and fishy. Like in the Bennett thread someone said it took them 7 months to get to it, Houston was under water in Aug and in Aug Bennett has his issue in Vegas with cops and then the next month HPD opens up a 7 month old case? No video evidence, cop determine a guy who was breaking the law couldn't be arrested? Not just arrested but did you hear his excuse for not getting involved? He said do to Bennetts size and being one guy he chose not too. This guy is almost unqualified to do his job as the Parkland Resource officer was. If I was the Police Chief in Houston and Bennett did commit a crime I'd have suspended or fired this officers ###. It's called calling for back up you got a radio use the dam thing. With hundreds of security already there surely someone would've been there with back up in a matter of seconds for you. He's also apparently a physiologist and deemed him not a threat. If Bennett did nothing wrong his lawyers are going to have a field day questioning this officer on the stand. I know if I was a defense attorney I would.

BTW, I had a nice conversation with Chuck Wepner once at Scott LeDoux's place in Minneapolis.  Nice Fella.  No idea who Chuck Webener is or was.

We just think the whole thing is funny. They talk #### all week and then when they get it thrown back at them they play the victim. Something tells me if they won the game they wouldn't act so salty about it. Like I said in the beginning Viking fans weren't angels at home either beating up a 13 yrs old minor just for being a saints fan. Youre a piece of #### if you do that. Those scumbags are lucky the father of that girl didn't drag every last one of them to the top of the stadium and throw them off. Whats worse is the people defending these NO Fans and the girl the Minny Cops were trying to blame the whole thing on the Saints fans. Gee thats sounds awfully familiar to the claims Viking fans made about Philly Cops not caring? Don't throw stones when you live in glass houses. There were also stories from Eagles fans of Viking fans instigating inside the stadium but hey lets just talk about the Eagles fans being bad. Again this isn't a problem in many of our eyes if Minny hadn't choked that game. All the reports I read were incredible tame compared to what happen to friends of mine and other Phillies fans at Dodger stadium during both the 08 and 09 playoffs. We just find the whole thing laughable at best.

Did I really see a headline that said the NFL will investigate fan behavior from the NFCCG? :lmao:
Honestly if it stops the jagoffs that like to take hats and stick them in urinals or poor beer on people then I'm all for it. 99% of the fans here don't do that.

Suh to the Rams.  Hmmm.  They are gonna win that division easily.
They should. With a year of tape and those WR’s and TE’s I’m not sure it will be a blowout though. They’re defensive moves are getting hype but even after Suh they’re about even, or slightly above, IMO.

Rams, Vikes, Saints, Eagles, Niners (possibly), Packers (if Rodgers stays healthy), Falcons.  NFC is friggin loaded.  It'll be a brutal schedule for the Birds but they are prepared for it.

I haven't checked any other teams' schedules but it was seem to be equally brutal for the Rams/Vikes/Saints/Packers/Falcolns.  Especially considering all of them but the Packers have to play the Eagles.

Coach Doug just told Sal Pal that barring anything unforseen, Nick Foles is an Eagle for this season.

...and I am totally cool with that.

The new catch rule looks legit.

I think it will add a lot more excitement.

WR's catch ball and ground knocks lose without being touched is a fumble now.

these poor fans will not let it go. I mean have they never been to a visiting stadium before? are Bears and Packers fans that much more welcoming? i have heard plenty of stories of cordial visits with Vikings fans, it is crazy how the same few stories keep coming up over and over.

Simple solution, maybe not have the Eagles as the late game if it is home in the playoffs. not sure what they are going to propose to do, NFL can't sanction every team or anything

ETA: and i think i mentioned before but i talked to a few people who went to the game. Seemed close to 90% of any issues were people who didn't have tickets and were just there tailgating all day. weather was nice, etc., it was a recipe for trouble. but honestly, all of this still going on has much more to do with a couple isolated incidents and the reputation of Philadelphia fans than an actual issue. the answer is to make stupid people stay home, good luck

I hope this doesn't discourage Vikings fans from from coming to the opening night game.

So in other words James has a catch now? Also does this mean WR makes the catch and dives ball comes out from the ground without being touched is basically A Live ball? I'll take it. Just simplify the dam rules is all I want.

Back in 16 a Packers fan stabbed a Vikings fan over an inflatable team thing.

So the solution is to punish all the good fans because of a few jag offs that are in every crowd?

This is no more then the Vikings fans having a pity party after getting their asses handed to them in the NFCC Game. Do you honestly think this is even a big deal had they won? Maybe a few stories but they would've been over it. Plus I think the NFL needs to take into the account the hostility the Minny Media showed to Philly in the week prior to the game. They were basically poking the bear and throwing oil around a bunch of sparks. Eventually that oil will ignite and ignite it did. It sounded like you said most of the idiots didn't have tickets. Maybe we should limit tailgating to only those with a game day ticket and have people who enforce that. Basically when entering the stadium parking or one of the parking lots you must show you have a ticket for the game. If you don't sorry go home or go to a bar. I was at a Jimmy Buffet Concert 4-5 yrs ago in Camden and my cousin and I got there late since he was teaching summer school as he's a teacher. The tailgate behind us was a bunch of younger people didn't even look like they were out of college and later we found out half of them were 19-20 yrs olds. Non of them had tickets. Cops pulled the one car over going out of the lot and got them on a DUI charge. Others were arrested for underage. I've seen too many tailgates get out of hand at concerts and usually the guilty parties are those without Tickets. I also heard from people who went that some of the stuff inside was result of Viking fans instigating things as well. Yeah there were a few idiot Eagles fans too as well but inside the stadium the Viking fans weren't as well behaved ether.

I've yet to hear that. Only thing I saw was Jarvis Landry trying to get the Browns to get OBJ so they could play again together since college.

Anyone catch the crowd at the sixers game last night doing a fultz skol chant? It was classic.  Almost feel bad for these Viking fans

what's funny, is all this griping by the Vikings fans (and yes i am sure some is justified) really makes me appreciate Giants and Cowboys fans a bunch more. Never thought i would say that, and i wasn't at the NFCCG, but i am confident that worse has occurred to Cowboys fans over the years. This would be a great opportunity for Cowboys or Giants fans to jump in, and they have pretty much shrugged their shoulders too

ETA: and yeah to your bolded. the one popular video floated around of the Vikings fans getting yelled at as they walked to the stadium was exactly that. it is all hear say of course, but i heard from a few sources that the girl in that video was basically infuriating the Eagles fan base, and as soon as they got all pissed and reacted perfectly to her she started taking video

If there was any fan base capable of a solid cross-sport troll it would be Philly. Last thing the sports world needed was an Eagles’ Super Bowl Championship. I’d expect nothing less.

one thing that the fanbase deserves credit on is really being imaginative enough and coordinated enough to pull these off. It isn't like anybody instructed the fans to do the "FOLES" or "FULTZ" chant, it just happened organically and the other fans know they have a good thing. i don't  know many other fan bases that can pull that off

And one huge thing I learned this year is that chemistry is everything. We had a guy like Blount not get a single carry one week and not a word. We had Alshon catching very little and not uttering a word. This guy? He will go nuclear if things don’t go his way and that could destroy their chemistry.
