OFFICIAL 2018 Training Camp & Preseason: News & Tidbits Thread (1 Viewer)

Sony Michel is working with the starters, but he's fumbled twice in two days.
Fumbling has always been his issue through out his college career. It that can’t be corrected he be the biggest flop of all these running backs.

Tex

So far today:

-Mike Gesicki made a nice one handed grab in 1 on 1’s.

-Tre’quan Smith continues his hot hand. Michael Thomas was looking like the stud he is today and my boy Boston Scott burned a DB on a go route.

-Both SF starting WR’s had big plays today (Goodwin and Garçon) offense is reportedly clicking through the first week of camp.

-Both Hogan and JMatthews appears to have had some injuries today. Matthews with a hammy so that one seems more concerning. Cordarrelle Patterson has apparently looked good and Burkhead had nice things to say about Michel. This WR group may be a mess this year.

-Doug Martin says he’s playing behind the best line of his career. I guess the staff has said good things about him. Jalen Richard got hurt today. Forgot to mention Martavis burned a DB and made a circus catch yesterday. Pretty par for the course for him on a go route.

-Chris Herndon and Quincy Enunwa have been looking good for the Jets throughout the week. Herndon may be starting to make some headway to the TE role.

-Paul Richardson apparently made some big catches at Redskins practice. Skins beat writers have been all about Guice shouldering a full compliment this year. While I believe he can catch out of the backfield I don’t think Thompson just goes away.

-Carlos Henderson’s career may be done. E.Sanders tried to reach out to him and got radio silence. Desean Hamilton may be the play for WR3 (slot) in Denver though FBG’s been saying Sutton is looking real sharp right now.

-Tajae Sharpe and Taywan Taylor have been looking sharp in Rishard Matthews absence.

-Ryan Fitzpatrick raved about Chris Godwin and Justin Watson had some nice plays against the second team with Ryan Griffin apparently leaning on him. Peyton Barber had a sharp run today while Rojo had a fumble and apparently struggled.

Thats all I got for now.

USA Today's Lindsay Jones believes the Broncos running back job is "totally open".

Devontae Booker, Royce Freeman, De'Angelo Henderson, and Phillip Lindsay all received first-team reps Sunday. It's worth noting Mike Klis of 9 News Denver has emphasized throughout the offseason that Booker figures to be the lead back in Week 1 because he's developed a "good command" of the offensive playbook over third-round rookie Freeman. We expect the team to adopt a committee approach no matter their Week 1 starter.

-Vance McDonald carted off with a foot injury. No other details at the moment.

-Corey Coleman continued to look good but somewhat inconsistent today.

-1st team WR’s for Arizona continued to rotate for Cardinals. No Kirk. Butler, Williams and Nelson.

-John Ross has been looking explosive the past few days. May actually have a role to play this year.

-Trenton Cannon apparently had a good day of practice.

-ODB continues extensive work from the slot and looks 100%

Chad Williams opened 11-on-11 drills as the Cardinals' No. 3 WR Sunday.

Larry Fitzgerald, Brice Butler, and Williams opened as the Cardinals' starters in their nickel offense. Williams was reportedly "more comfortable" in the team's offense during OTAs and apparently has a leg up on rookie Christian Kirk as the starting slot receiver. Kirk has the higher fantasy ceiling if he wins the job out of camp.

New Injuries: WR Marqise Lee left practice with an injury that appeared to be his left shoulder after landing awkwardly after cornerback Tyler Patmon forced a pass breakup....WR Donte Moncrief did not participate in Saturday’s practice because of an ankle injury that occurred on Friday.
from the Jacksonville Day 3 report a few posts up. no assessment of any kind available yet.

Parker is not tough enough to succeed in the NFL. Anybody thinking he's breaking out this year is sadly mistaken.
As a Dolphins fan and a big fan of Parker coming out of UL, I sadly have to agree with you. I've sold in all 3 dynasty leagues I had him in this offseason.

Amba Etta-Tawo WR, NYG has been impressing through the first week of Giants camp. Intriguing profile for the 2nd year player. Super deep sleeper at this point. I’m tracking after his mentions have been consistent this week.
