He moves his back foot when he swings. It's bizarre.I'll say it: Clint Frazier is a freaky looking dude. He looks like an extraterrestrial.

Who would have figured that both Betances and Chapman would lose their command at the same time? Their stuff looks fine. Both are hitting 100 on the gun. But everything is everywhere. It's crazy.Almost blew another one
I'll say this for him: he's built to be a baseball player. Call it great training, good genetics, devoting himself obsessively to the sport, whatever. He just looks the part. Reminds me a bit of O'Neill in his prime. He moves his back foot when he swings. It's bizarre.
Yeah, I don't like his swing. Margin for error is pretty dang small. He moves his back foot when he swings. It's bizarre.
Think so. Pitching was never meant to be good. Still a bright future. So, its over....right?
That stinks. Was hoping this guy would, at some point, put it together. Damn.Jesus. What an awful break for the guy. Worst possible timing.
Never quite put it together. At least the Yanks wont have to drop 9 figures on him now.
Honestly? I feel bad for the guy and wouldn't wish an injury on most anyone, but I'm glad it happened when it happened. Pineda was a constant cocktease, showing just enough flash to keep us hoping he'd develop into a stud #2 starter....but never doing it. Now Cashman won't be tempted to resign him and Chance Adams can get his chance.Jesus. What an awful break for the guy. Worst possible timing.

Of course that was a fluke. Nothing in his past indicated that kind of performance. He was starting to cool off a bit before the All Star break. But now it's becoming concerning.
I'm sure he'll bounce back by August. You don't play an entire three months like he did as a fluke.
Or maybe not.I think we just saw the new seventh inng guy: Caleb Smith.
Always hated the ellsbury signing. Hopefully the money they're paying him doesn't keep him in the lineupshadyridr said:Really like C Frazier. Kid looks like a 5 tool player and hustles his ### off. When Hicks comes back I really hope him and Frazier play everyday.

I honestly dont know what they are waiting for to call up Adams. They called up all the other kids. Meanwhile Montogmery looks like he needs a little break too.How many more crapfests by Bryan Mitchell and Luis Cessa do we have to sit through before they trade for Gray or call up Chance Adams? It's brutal out there.
Monte had a rough outting. They happen. He'll bounce back. The guy is unflappable.I honestly dont know what they are waiting for to call up Adams. They called up all the other kids. Meanwhile Montogmery looks like he needs a little break too.
I guess. It was just so incredibly obvious that it was bad, right from the start. Other than his freaky 2011 (had to be on roids, right?) he's basically been a like .290 slap hitter with no power. His best asset was his speed, which was never going to hold up over the length of that ridiculous contract. The only appeal was that it was you took a chunk out of Boston as well. (and they went and spent the money they saved on an even more terrible signing in Sandoval the following year)Ditto.
But, fwiw, he was the last of the BIG AGING FREE AGENT SIGNING! contracts Cashman handed out. That it's a rotten deal only pushed Cash further down the road of stocking the farm and developing talent.
But do you sit Gardner every day? Hicks? Can't keep him up here if he doesnt get regular playing time. I said earlier I'd make him the everyday LF, Hicks everyday CF, and mix and match at DH with Gardner & Holliday. Not too happy about Girardi saying they're sending Frazier down once Hicks is healthy. I understand that you can't carry 5 outfielders, but it's clear that Ellsbury is only staying in the Show because of his contract. Frazier has utterly outplayed him. He's out hit him and out ran him and he's nearly as good in the field.
They'd be so effing stupid if they send him down. The guy is a legit star in the making.Love Frazier
Girardi said Frazier would be sent down when Hicks returns. That hasnt happened yet.In other good news: Girardi came to his senses and is keeping Clint Frazier on the team.
Did I mishear? I thought they said Frazier had played his way into staying.Girardi said Frazier would be sent down when Hicks returns. That hasnt happened yet.
Hes earned his way to the starting lineup over Ellsbury but once Hicks comes back he said early in the week he will be sent down. I heard nothing new since then.Did I mishear? I thought they said Frazier had played his way into staying.
Maybe that was just David Cone giving his opinion.
Frazier has two 2-out rbi singles today. I hope they keep him up. Games on MLB network for out of state folks.Hes earned his way to the starting lineup over Ellsbury but once Hicks comes back he said early in the week he will be sent down. I heard nothing new since then.
