*Official 2019 Philadelphia Eagles Thread* - Season's over; Go Away Now... (1 Viewer)

I'd be down with that. He is a super bowl winning LT anyway. Howie knows what he's doing.
exactly, he's young enough, experienced, manageable contract and cost for the long term if he plays well. With dillard, it makes him expendable. We get a monster at DE for 1 year. Cost would probably be too high to keep him past that, but Howie will probably magically turn that into a comp pick that would be a 3rd rounder. Maybe we need to throw in a 5th or 6th to make it happen.  it makes the most sense to me.

Carson is not going to play at all now. Sucks because I am taking my kids next week. No way Doug let's him go out there though.

Gonna have to get another QB in here for sure.  Do hope they give Carson one drive on the next game anyways.

Nice to see Singleton making some plays out there.  Hope he makes the team as he's played in my city the last couple years.

Sanders looks good too.  This has to be the most loaded offense I can remember in recent memory.

Just get through the next few weeks healthy.

And so does Sidney Jones
Got burnt a couple of times last night the one play he got burnt luckily not only did the receiver not make the catch but was negated by a hold on the offense. Dillard also didn't look good and was the reason Kessler got concussed. THat isn't gonna look good on your resume playing a premium position protecting a QB's blind side in this league

On the Other hand Miles Sanders picked up a nice block on the Ward TD and Big V looked great playing G. Thorson looked better too.

The few write-ups of the game that I've read have all indicated that Dillard was not responsible for the hit on Kessler. All have said that the problem was with the blocking scheme and that Dillard blocked the man he should have.

It seemed on the broadcast Tucker was blaming Dillard however he wasn't sure if someone had miscommunication

Thorsen to the PS. Kessler gets cut.
Ya, makes the most sense.  Thorsen looked much improved the last game though, but ya I guess no one would take him off our PS anyways.

Kessler seemed okay and knows the offense better than mccown. But I guess with the injury it's not like he'd be valuable starter if anything happened to Carson anyways.

Keep reading how sanders looked amazing, with his cuts, power etc., but I thought he looked just ok.  Am I crazy?

was not a big fan predraft, not sure if that is clouding my judgement

Wasn’t able to watch the game, but didinger claimed this morning that the hit was all kesslers fault.

I didn't think he looked amazing either. I thought he was avg.

I don't remember exactly what he said, but the way Pederson couched his post-game comments sounded like he was intimating this, also.

I LOVE this move on several levels. Great guy to have in the locker room and film room with Wentz. And if disaster strikes for the third straight year, the team would not be dead in the water with McCown.
Yep people sleep on McCown. He's not the greatest but he's the best option if you're QB goes down for a few games. The intelligence level of this man is amazing and he had teams contacting him about joining their coaching as a QB coach for several years now

A nice feel-good article to get your juices flowing. Plus this thread needed a bump - 3rd page??

After 2 days of joint practices, Ravens understand hype around Eagles’ offense

"I would tell you, in this league there’s a small pool of guys that you would classify at an elite level,” (Earl) Thomas said to NBC Sports Philadelphia. “And I think he’s definitely in that pool."
That definitely gets me excited. And good work AtD, getting us back on the first page.

Anyone going to the game tonight? I'm taking my kids to their first Eagles game tonight. My daughter woke up and out on her hungry dogs shirt. She's more excited than my son, lol.

i have my fantasy draft in a few days, and i was looking for info if Zeke will sign soon. Then i came across this:

https://mavensports.io/cowboys/news/cowboys-1-on-1-tank-lawrence-on-hot-boyz-claims-and-his-return-to-the-field-Is8k-f-OnUqnPXHxlRRPmA/

It is amazing how crappy and sucky the Cowboys and that franchise is. Thank God we don't have corny DL and guys like Cox just go out and maul people, instead of spending time making up nicknames for a DL that is half in, half out because they can't afford the good players actually on that line

I read about a paragraph of that before my brain melted.

That's a really weird website.

Better not talk about it anymore though or our crushes on the Cowboys will be revealed.

like the starters not a huge fan of the bench. A big mix of injury prone and older players bu Lewis is a nice handcuff for Henry. Not huge on Jackson though. I think ODB is either gonna have a huge breakout or a huge bust this year. Ton of egos there a powder keg ready to blow

Odb and Conner is a great 1-2 start.  I like Carson but not too high on Henry, so I think you will struggle to fill that flex.  Maybe fuller or McCoy can step up.

i like Lamar Jackson and think he might end up starting more for you.

cook is obviously worth taking a later flier on, but im not too bullish on the Eagles d given their injuries and time that I think it will take to gel.

i think it’s ok, but I don’t see a huge amount of upside overall, aside from Jackson.
