*Official 2020 Philadelphia Eagles Thread* Humanity will never recover from the most horrible event to happen in the last 100 years: Doug Pederson pla (2 Viewers)

Doug is terrible with the press. Always has been. I still like him as a coach (aside from play calling), but I do question how much control he actually has on this team. And by that I mean owner/GM overriding his decisions. From the offensive coaches he said were staying then getting fired the next day, to moves like this.
Yeah, it's pretty obvious from the fumbling and bad analogies when Doug is talking about something he didn't do, didn't agree with or was told to do something (in this case either by Jeff, Howie, or even JP.)

His comment about being so happy when Peters came into his office and informed him he was changing position suggests he doesn't have  power.

And you have to assume the players see this as well, and yet they still play hard for him. Would be easy for the players to check out since he doesn't have "full control". To me that speaks to how good of a coach he is.

All coach speak to cover the fact that Doug is loyal to his veterans to a fault. Jordan has watched for almost 3 years. He's not going to learn anything else on the bench.
Makes me wish we had the Andy responses back sometimes.

So I was moved to produce for the next two weeks (They are short with just the manager and 2 other guys) but still working my regular department on Thursdays for deliveries. Anyway I was loading up oranges when this nice older lady maybe in her mid 70s comes up to the oranges, grapefruits, limes, lemons etc I'm loading. She says hi how are you etc etc being nice. I'm wearing my Eagles sweatshirt and she says oh the Eagles play Sunday night we should win this week right? I said yeah I should be an easy win but you know its never been easy for this team for yrs. She starts laughing and then ask me who we play this week. I say the Cowboys. Her response

"Oh I hate those a**holes!!!! They are so vile. Their owner is such a pathetic human and don't get me started on the Whole America's team nonsense. I hope we beat the crap out of them. I never liked those SoB's in my life. And I hate those fans who are here who never been to Texas once. I don't know if I hate them more then the actual team or not. And someone needs to tell those boys to pull their pants up they are so unattractive. I'm a really big Eagles fan if you can't tell myself."

She says have a nice day and while trying to hold back my laughter and shock I tell her to have a good rest of the day and let me know if she needed anymore help. I go to my coworker tell him the story and we both can't stop laughing for a good 2 mins. I'm not sure what was more funny. How much she hated the Cowboys and the cursing or the fact I just didn't expect this really really nice older lady to come up to me and the convo turn a complete 180 like that. It's definitely Dallas week.

For the 100th time, we don’t care about your internet and real-life arguments.

This is the kind of information @Pip's Invitation just loves reading.  We were going to be super curious what the 3 other citruses you were loading were 🤣

With a supposed really big  eagles fan who doesn’t even know who they are playing two days from now
I can't fault her there. She was an older women. She was closer to 80 then her 50s. My own grandmother a huge Eagles fan at 89 still sometimes asks my cousin or I who we are playing.

I forgot to tell @DJackson10 about the FDA hearing I covered on Tuesday over Microsoft Teams. It ran over by 90 minutes and was excruciating. Also I reviewed 15 resumes for the vacancy on my staff. One of them is from someone I know from high school but I'm not giving them preferential treatment. On Wednesday I got my car inspected and went to the McDonald's drive-through for lunch.

Re-enforcements have arrived!!!!! Our starting 1B TE, our Rookie #3 WR, our Starting MLB and our Special Teams ace along with JP all activated from IR today.

I'm hoping that Reagor just slots into DJax role and Goedert eats up Rodgers and Ward possession targets. I would think Hightower will not see many targets going forward, wihch is another 2-4 targets a game this season. So there's enough to go around for the top receivers each week once you eliminate Ward/Hightower. Where this may hurt is Fulgham won't be first look downfield with Reagor there plus the redzone looks will diminish with Goedert in. It'll be interesting if and when Alshon come back, but for tomorrow I expect (or hope) the same target/production from Fulgham.

Fair but there wasn't really a Djax role for a lot of Fulgham's big games.  I see Fulghams targets going from 10-12 targets a game to about 8.  Still see him as a WR3 with many 5 for 60 type games, but I think his WR1 days are over with Reagor/Goedert back.

Not so sure about that. Fulgham has been on the field with Carson the last 4 weeks. The other 2 haven't. There's something to be said about trust. Reagor and Goerdert will get some (DG should slide right into Rodgers targets no problem). I see Reagor taking more of Hightower s targets at first. Fulgham should still get his for now.

but what did the mechanic think about an Ertz extension?

you think he still gets around 12 targets this week?

Wait, what? Who does the inspection?
The DMV has its own inspection locations. They are free. They used to take forever, but these days, you only have to get inspected once every two years (even less for newer cars) and pretty much all they check is emissions, so the lines usually aren't too bad, at least in my part of South Jersey.

You could also go to a mechanic to get one -- and lots of people did back in the '90s and before when the lines at the DMV sites were so long -- but that costs money.

On Wednesday, I think the McDonald's drive through took longer than the DMV.

Even better, they have webcams you can check out online to see what the wait is. Last couple times I went there was literally no wait at all. When i lived in PA for a couple years and learned I had to pay for inspections I was shocked.

PA has a lot of extortion rackets by the state like that.

I take back what I said about hoping the Eagles pull out a playoff berth. This team is horrid. O-line injuries dont explain this #### play from Wentz.

That call to go for it on the 4th and 1 is amongst the stupidest calls I’ve seen from ANY HC. There’s a 1:10 seconds on the clock after the 3rd down play and you have all three time outs. It’s a NO-BRAINER to punt there.

I've said it for weeks he needs a better QB coach. He has the talent but needs the right coach to get it out of him.

Agreed.  I would rarely say this but a playoff berth would likely hinder this team.  There is no way this team has a shot at winning the Super Bowl so anything that gets in the way of a higher draft pick is a bad thing.

How did this type of behavior help the Sixers? I firmly believe any Playoff experience you can ever get young guys is a great thing. Losing just creates a losers mentality.
