Does anyone know how much he wants? With a cap problem coming next year I wouldn't worry about 1 or 2 million but a $10 million raise would be a real problem.just pay peters

He's getting $3 million guaranteed, with up to $3 million more in incentives. Haven't seen any solid info on those incentives, and how realistic they were, but maybe guaranteeing that and throwing him a little extra on top gets it done?Does anyone know how much he wants? And I think the sticking point from the team's side is they're (rightly) worried that they pay him like an LT and then he misses half the season with injuries. That was essentially the risk they were trying to avoid by not bringing him back in the first place. So maybe making those incentives based on games played at LT or something is the answer. "We'll pay you like an LT, as long as you're actually playing LT."He's getting $3 million guaranteed, with up to $3 million more in incentives. I was gonna come in here and suggest with all the injuries already would maybe signing Fournette for a year on a prove it deal not playing as many snaps help us? It gives us a legit starter if something happens to Sanders too. I like Boston Scott and Corey Clement but neither one is really a starting NFL RB they are more situational backs then anything unless Baby Yoda can somehow find an Austin Ekler in him.Insein said:
No. Another guy on the team crying about money + opportunity = no thanks. Kind of agree but I also think he'd be good for late game when winding down the clock. We had our best success with a Blount type guy as well with the others to wear teams down at games.No. Another guy on the team crying about money + opportunity = no thanks. Agree, but we are also at our best "as a team" we brought in Ajayi on a trade last minute, kind of the same style "prove it/last year contract" deal.Kind of agree but I also think he'd be good for late game when winding down the clock. My MIL just texted us that she wants to buy cutouts of our two kids and their cousin for the Autism donation.Fan cutouts in the stands at The Linc are on pre-sale to Season Ticket Members until Wednesday, then to the public. $100 each (all profits go to the Eagles Autism Foundation), can't select where you are placed but they will send you the location and picture of your cutout in its section. If you want to be placed in a group or as a family, you have to order them all at the same time. Pets are allowed.
Than who? No time for pride, we aren't lol cutting a guy that is a HOFer at the position after his heir apparent is lost for the season to injury. PFF had a pretty good grade on him last year "while he was in" which was north of 80% of the snaps, regardless of how fans feel. We don't have any leverage here.At this stage I’d keep Peters where he is or even cut him before I paid him. Who knows if he can play RG or even how well he’ll do at LT
Is he playing at a HOF level now? Of course not. Who knows wtf he is at RG either at 38 years old. No one and I mean not one wanted him at all. He’s only here because of the Brooks injury and playing a different position. That should give you an idea of how he’s viewed now.Than who? Horrible precedent? For future HOF'ers? I'm ok setting a precedent for a guy that is a Future HOFer and still pretty much a top 10 guy at his position. I was under the impression when we let Dawkins go, THAT was the horrible precedent. Is he playing at a HOF level at age 38? Cmon now, only Jerry Rice did. And he will be playing LT not RG lol. He's here b/c he is capable, a great leader and well we drafted a QB round 2 instead of OL depth. Is he playing at a HOF level now? Of course not. Who knows wtf he is at RG either at 38 years old. It’s a horrible precedent to set by giving him money to help the team and play a position he’s paid for years. He has to stay at RG or go period.
Yes paying a guy extra to play a position he has for years sets a horrible precedent. THAT’s not Dawkins at all. Not even close. He’s me firstHorrible precedent? For future HOF'ers? Hey look, I'm not a fan of it, but it is what it is. Players have been getting more and more power. He isn't really making a big deal out of this. This is the Eagles fault for letting themselves get to this position. We say this every year, but this HAS to be his last year. Am I ok with it? I mean, its not my money, we are under the cap, who cares? Again, I will say the word "pride"Yes paying a guy extra to play a position he has for years sets a horrible precedent. Hes literally bending us over a barrel because we need him and you’re ok with it
Yes and not risk having future players do the same thing. Imagine Slay goes down and we ask Mills to play CB and he’s like “not unless you pay me more”....nip this now.Would you rather us start Prince, the rookie at LT or around that level, just to not pay JP $5m more of someone elses money?
My cousin's fiancé is an Aussie as well. My cousin was able to get her to watch Eagles games after she Learned Cameron Johnson was a former Aussie Rules players and learned we drafted Jordan. SO I'm sure she'd be very happy herself if it worksAs a fellow Aussie I would love to see Mailata get a shot, but not if it's going to remind me of Winston Justice. Sucks that JP pulled the "well, I could move back to LT... if you double my salary" move, but I think they have to suck it up and do it. Based on JP's creaking body last year that will still give them reps and / or games to test out Mailata or Prince TW.
That way, it's last year's line with Pryor subbing in for Brooks. Still looks better than the alternatives to me.
Good for him. In the most part when it comes to the NFL I'm always siding with player. Besides Baseball NFL Players have the least power out of the 4 major sports. Heck Soccer players wield more power then both combined. I'd pay the extra to a HOF LT if it means Carson, Jalen and Nate are safe back there. Say Wentz goes down, do you really want to put your 2nd round pick rookie in a situation similar to David Carr was in Hou with a shaky Line protecting him? I don'tYes paying a guy extra to play a position he has for years sets a horrible precedent. THAT’s not Dawkins at all. Not even close. He’s me first

Jalen barely has that kind of ability. It's not like he was playing top 5 CB before he got moved.Yes and not risk having future players do the same thing. Imagine Slay goes down and we ask Mills to play CB and he’s like “not unless you pay me more”....nip this now.
This team continues to do amazing things. Lurie the in his State of the team address took 15 mins out of it just to talk about current events, social justice and everything. Not many owners do that or put In the work for the community or for the fans Lurie does on a daily basis. This guy takes care of his employees too. Takes the time to try and meet and remember everyone from the Gameday staff Security to the Janitor at the Novacare Center. Literally his door is open to anyone needing anything and he routinely sits and has lunch or whatever with the players. He's the boss that many people dream of having. I'm glad to be in a similar situation with My company as my President at least in my area is great. Whenever he comes in he doesn't just talk to management but the employees. Wants to make sure everything is ok, we got new equipment awhile ago thanks to him when someone told him a lot of it was old, etc.Fan cutouts in the stands at The Linc are on pre-sale to Season Ticket Members until Wednesday, then to the public. $100 each (all profits go to the Eagles Autism Foundation), can't select where you are placed but they will send you the location and picture of your cutout in its section. agree with the general sentiment, but in this specific case at least should acknowledge he practically said he'll take less money to sign as RT than he wanted since it is RT. Didn't he demand initially he'll sign if they let him play LT and pay him more? that might have been a comment here by a poster and not by Peters, my memory not what it use to be.Yes and not risk having future players do the same thing. You’re missing the point. It opens the door for ANY player, regardless of caliber, to hold a team ransom. That’s not a door I’m willing to openJalen barely has that kind of ability. It's not like he was playing top 5 CB before he got moved.
I don’t recall reading that anywhere. If not for a Brooks injury he’s still a FA and contemplating retirement at this point. He’s made 100 million from us alone and asking a player to help out at another position has never resulted in said player seeking a raise. This is a bad precedent to start for a 38 year old player.agree with the general sentiment, but in this specific case at least should acknowledge he practically said he'll take less money to sign as RT than he wanted since it is RT. Its a matter of fan preference. its obvious Peters is the best option we have. I'm that guy that thinks we should put the best players on the field, if we can fit under the cap and there are no character/team/chemistry issues. No one here is thinking we have a better option than Peters. Some fans (mainly old school types like Ditka) don't like players having any say over their contracts, money career and to "honor the contract" a la Scottie Pippen. Not happening anymore, just the reality of today's players, league, personalities.agree with the general sentiment, but in this specific case at least should acknowledge he practically said he'll take less money to sign as RT than he wanted since it is RT. The vision of Peters you have in your head does not match the reality of the situation. He’s more of a familiar name now. He hasn’t finished a practice this season, constantly can’t complete games and now refuses to help and be a good teammate because we need him. He’s at the end of the road and he knows it and is trying to get every cent he can. You can agree with his stance or not but I’d prefer a guy who’s made 111 million (100 with us) to help the team in his last days some instead of nickel and diming us. Last response from me on this. While we are just 2 guys on a message board debating, the professionals at PFF graded him out 6th best OT (both right and left) last year. The vision of Peters you have in your head does not match the reality of the situation. The reality of the situation is we need him or start a 4th round rookie LT OR the 3rd year Australian still learning real football. Money earned already is really irrelevant.
I said I wouldn't be surprised by player injuries. Teams are more susceptible to injuries given they didn't have their offseason condition programs and Mini camps this year. You can only do so much at your own home. Many of these guys aren't lucky like a Fletcher Cox or Mahomes with big homes with their own personal gym. Public gyms were closed and if opened don't see many risking getting a virus out in public. Considering how physical football is compared to other sports and the PT that goes along with it, this shouldn't surprise anyone.New Safety Will Parks, now also out multiple weeks. LOL WTF.
Dang: Hollyfield, Killins and Warren? Who else we got at RB?13 cuts already (and Dillard to season-ending IR):
S Grayland Arnold
WR Travis Fulgham
OG Julian Good-Jones
RB Elijah Holyfield
RB Adrian Killins
S Elijah Riley
TE Tyrone Swoopes
RB Michael Warren
OL Luke Juriga
WR Deontay Burnett
WR Marcus Green
WR Manassaeh Bailey

Yeah, that leaves us kinda thin. Maybe they can put Mailata in for GL packages.Scott and Clement
We've got three in for our seats for my two kids and their cousin, no idea where they'll end up.Fan cutout info https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/fans/cutouts/
Assuming they'll stash a few on the practice squad and take advantage of the new rules to use them when needed.Yeah, that leaves us kinda thin. Maybe they can put Mailata in for GL packages.
Man a trade of Rasul Or Sidney would be great right about now. So sad, considering they were 2nd/3rd round picks in the same draft #ThanksJoeThe Noid said:Craig James signed a 1-year extension. Either they are going heavy at CB on the 53, or someone like Jones or Douglas is about to get cut (or traded?)
I like Sul over Jones. He seemed to be more productive when he was in there then Sid was. Some people love to harp on his INT at the end of the Giants game last year but Jones threw that thing right to him like he was the WR. He made a good play in the Dal game to end it but that was lucky he wasn't called for DPI either (Considering how the NFL calls it these days). Jones is inconsistent and has availability issues at best. I think him killing his achilles is a huge issue.Man a trade of Rasul Or Sidney would be great right about now. Good: Goedert, Sanders, Maddox, Gerry,What players have stuck from the Joe Douglas era? He was so highly touted by the "experts" in this town but what has he got us exactly?
