Official 2022 college football thread: its conference realignment season. (2 Viewers)

why it took nearly two months to file charges

Smith played in Saturday's game against Ohio State
Yes, very mysterious indeed.
I'm sure Mr. Prosecutor will have a fine explanation next time he's on the MGoBlog.
Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Harbaugh knew his player was sitting on a felony firearm charge and allowing him to play 7 more games at the same time that he was crying publicly about expecting criminal charges for MSU student-athletes. Seems a bit hypocritical

It sounds like Smith's issue was basically a paperwork issue (carrying the weapon before all the paperwork was properly approved), whereas the MSU players were beating people with their helmets. Doesn't sound all that hypocritical.

I know Riley is a genius and all but you are up 7, have 2nd and 1 and you can pretty easily run for a 1st down and probably ensure either a 7, 10 or 14 pt halftime lead. Instead you drop back, take a sack and then end up punting. Utah scores here and then gets the ball first in the 2nd half to try and take a lead.

As an Ohio State fan, I approve of his decision

I didn’t even mention going for 4th and 8 up by 14.

Kylie seems like she will make some dudes life miserable later in life.

When are we going to end this farce of chest passing footballs in to a giant soda can?

Neither team can tackle. I mean nobody on the Usc D has any chance in the nfl. Imagine them trying to tackle Derrick Henry😂😂

Well, Except for that hit on the Utah qb. One of the hardest legal hits I’ve seen in a while. Brutal.

So, who actually wins the Heisman now? Arguably no one really deserves it. Feels like it’ll be that year where it’s really close and divided by region. Williams might still win, but this isn’t the showing he needed to affirm his case.

I still cannot believe ND couldn’t run on these guys. Shows how absolutely brutal LB tackling was in that game too.

At least they remember that you still cannot spell suck without USC

If chaos reigns, does Bama really get in over Tennessee?
Yes.
This is the problem I have with the committee. Neither made the SEC title game, they finished with the same record, and they played head to head. That last part has to actually count for something given the other two.

“Well we think…” when two teams that don’t play in separate conferences has to rule, but there was a game and Bama lost.

Tennessee got destroyed by a crappy South Carolina team. That game has to count for something too.

Bama lost to UT on a walkoff field goal on the road. Big difference.

Who is Bama’s best win? I get Tennessee lost bad too, but Bama played two teams this year and lost to both of them. At least Tennessee has a win against Bama. Bama’s best win is Ole Miss so all they’ve earned is the paper supposition that they should be good.

I don’t think Bama is particularly deserving either but at least every game they’ve been in has been competitive. Tennessee got housed by two teams, one of them average. Ain’t gonna happen.

Doubtful. I would bet a lot that if TCU loses its Bama and tOSU getting in.

I’m surprised Utah lost three games. Would have been very interesting if they’d beaten Oregon or UCLA and sitting there with two losses having just done that to USC.
Can't see a 2 loss Bama getting in at all.

If Duggan has a big game in a win today, he has to be in consideration. Especially everything he dealt with prior to the start of the season. Numbers aren’t the best, but they’re pretty good.

Regardless of TCU outcome
UGa
Mich
TCU
OSU
If TCU loses, I think OSU jumps them for the OSU-UM rematch. That way there won't be the possibility of an all Big 10 National Championship game
If TCU loses, I think it’s
1. UGA
2. Mich
3. Bama
4. OSU

I think the opposite. Don’t see them pairing up the conferences in the first round of the playoffs. I think they’ll try and avoid that at all costs.
