Official 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Thread - Humberto & Imelda (1 Viewer)

Each run gets a little closer to the coast. Still not worried but...
Spaghetti models seem to keep it well off the coast.
Until they don't.

It's still very likely a fish storm but what I'm saying is each model run shifts west.

Hoping this doesn't interfere with my IOP trip next Wed.

It's early but the fish effect is maybe short lived. If it bounces off the front it might pick up speed enough to go think about a Portugal landfall or even swing all the way back around.

All that is like week out models and not reliable but still nuts

I keep seeing that posted but the model consensus is pretty right no?

Seeing what posted? Keep in mind in forecasting 120hr ahead forecasts are basically just guessing.

There’s a wave out in the tropical Atlantic that looks concerning. Some are already predicting for it to smack Florida.

It's crazy that they would be predicting that this far out unless it's clickbait.
Yea a lot of click bait out there. This guy is very good been our local weather guy for a lot of years. On YouTube Mr Weatherman

Brian Shields is one of the best in the business. I like his calming approach, especially when we are in line with a major storm.

Pre plans have begun around here. I'm sure they will kick in full force tomorrow or Saturday.
Yeah, 94l looks like a little bit of a problem for SC.
out of the country with a place on topsail island (pronounced Top-sull lol). i appreciate the updates here.
Good news is it shouldn't be a strong storm. Healthy rainmaker though.
many thanks….i am about 3rd row and not really concerned with surge or rain. it’s the wind that got me last time.

my luck, i get floods in NC and then the storm crosses the atlantic and hits me here.

Two days ago all of the models had it coming into South Carolina, and two outliers taking it back out to sea.
Yesterday all of the models had it going out to sea, and two outliers coming into South Carolina.

Crazy stuff
