Not sure on this but I just read that the men's race had an 80% attrition rate.I wonder if the men’s guys will take what happened to the women’s race where the favorites marked each other out and go really early. France, Italy, and the Dutch just threw that race away.

Not sure how many riders started but 80% DNF would be 150 riders at the start. Sounds about right. Not sure on this but I just read that the men's race had an 80% attrition rate.I wonder if the men’s guys will take what happened to the women’s race where the favorites marked each other out and go really early. Story of the day
At the Worlds Men’s Road Race, a six-rider breakaway formed early. Riders from the peloton repeatedly launched counterattacks, though only Garcia Pierna managed to join the leaders. On the Mont Kigali, the break was caught, and Pogacar attacked, with only Ayuso able to follow. Del Toro joined them in the descent. Shortly after, on the Mur de Kigali, Ayuso dropped. With 66 km to go Del Toro also lost contact, leaving Pogacar solo to claim his second consecutive victory. Only 30 riders finished.
The men's race played out much differently than the woman's with the climb at 100km left. That turned the men's race into a whole bunch of small groups on the road. Not sure on this but I just read that the men's race had an 80% attrition rate.I wonder if the men’s guys will take what happened to the women’s race where the favorites marked each other out and go really early. France, Italy, and the Dutch just threw that race away.

End of season with a bunch of races upcoming. Also with it being a loop, it's real easy to bail when you don't need a lift to the finish. Not sure on this but I just read that the men's race had an 80% attrition rate.I wonder if the men’s guys will take what happened to the women’s race where the favorites marked each other out and go really early. Reply...well I was wrong on this. In addition to the "Sixes" being to long with too many races at the end, the pricing is whoomped. George should probably trim the number of races and maybe schedule two times to reset prices. Maybe after spring classics and after the tour de france. Our teams are almost identical because everyone is smartly grabbing the undervalued riders. This is going to be a fun one. Rider list is expanding and packed.Tre Valli Varesine is open
