Official Alshon Jeffery - The Bandwagon (1 Viewer)

Besides just getting back on the field, I do have concerns that Marques has earned some snaps going forward. He might bite into any high end production expected of Alshon.

I'm just not seeing that.

Wilson has been invisible for long stretches despite the absence of Jeffery. You don't take away snaps from the genuine article to give them to the poor man's version of it.

Wilson might force his way into 2 receiver sets to the detriment of Royal because he brings a length advantage that Royal lacks. But Wilson is still far behind Jeffery and I just don't see him forcing a share like Jeffery did to Marshall.

Gase had to have penciled in alshon and Marquess as the split ends with royal being the slot guy. So when alshon comes back for week 15, no reason they can't do that

I'm not insinuating Wilson is better or deserves reps I just think Chicago probably has more trust in him now and they may try to get him on the field more to protect Alshon long term.I agree that Royal could see a downturn in targets if all 3 are on the field.

I'm stuck in a jam with a weak WR set on my team, and one of my main 2 (not including Alshon) on a bye, but even I just want to see him wait for the bye. At this point, why rush it, you already missed a third of the season.

I had a snide remark ready then I figured it wasnt worth it. No to this. Just no. Dont overthink things.

Caught a part of a score(670) broadcast thursday. Dont remember who exactly was talking (I think it was Biggs, but not positive) but he said that he was at the bears practice(at least the part media was allowed to watch) and even though Jeffery was listed as limited that he did everything all the other WR's did. He did also say though that he would like to see a few practices in a row before making a call as to whether he would play. Trying to find the podcast since I don't want to just throw something out there.

Yep... Biggs. Hour 3 of Mully and hanley show on thursday. Here...

If he plays im not getting cute. Im starting him.
I would say the same thing, except replace 'starting' with 'benching'
This is an interesting case study for something Chris Harris was talking about on a recent podcast regarding whether or not you start a stud his first game back from a significant injury.

He posed the question this way:

Which would hurt you more?

Starting him and taking a bad score.

Or benching him when he has a huge game.

I, like Chris Harris, would be more hurt by the latter, so I usually play guys like Alshon right away.

This guy is a bust , let's face it.
so are Jordy Nelson and Dez Bryant. If you're counting injuries as busts.
abos

absolutely and this guy was hurt in the pre-season so you were warned
So, then he was a risk, and not really a bust. Plus, does not look like the season is quite over yet, is it?

Ill be fine...have been so far without him.

More worried about my "bust" of a 1st round pick in Charles and that missing spot in my lineup.

From Bears writers:

Have not seen Eddie Royal run any redzone routes. He's just watching. Jeffery looks sharp.

Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal look pretty good in warmups. #Bears

Alshon Jeffery just ran a deep corner route. Does not appear to be limited. #Bears
