Small action plays for this afternoon.

Mil/SF u8.5(even)

Vargas has been relatively effective so far this year, and I know I've mentioned in the past about the funky shadows at Miller Park during the day and how it should help lefty starters (Zito). Day game after a night game, some starters may rest (Bonds), so give me the under.

Florida(Mitre)+118 vs ChiSox (Garland)

I'm going to keep fading the Sox so long as they are favored against decent teams. I think Mitre is better than Garland, so I'll just have to hope the roadies can take another one.

Az/TB o8.5 (-110)

My numbers actually have this line pretty good...maybe 9 would be where it should be, but both bullpens have been used and both teams are hitting. If either starter goes long in this game, we may be in trouble, but hopefully neither reaches the seventh, and I'll be ;) :banned: before dinner.

Made a few bucks in day baseball. Thought I had a live one on the Brewers under until Vargas forgot how to throw a strike.

Anyway......not too much I like tonight, but I'm on the following:

Boston(Tavares) -126 @ Atlanta (Carlyle)

Basically I feel I have a little bit better of it with the starting pitching, and a lot better of it in the bullpen and on offense. Laying 26 cents isn't too shabby, especially against a pitcher that has blow up potential in Carlyle.

NYM (OP) -1.5 (+110) vs Minnesota(Baker)

I just believe the Mets are a lot better team than the Twins, especially at home. It was tough to lay the RL here, but OP was -191 straight, and that price was too steep. Mets offense certainly has the potential to tear off some runs, let's just hope Perez can go deep into the game here.

Some looks, but no plays (yet)

LAD (Kuo) +155 @ Toronto (Halladay)

Halladay hasn't been that great lately with an ERA over 6. I'm not a firm enough believer in backing Kuo just yet, and the Dodgers offense does scare me, but I think the price may be right.

Houston/LAA o9 (-110)

This one looks like a no-brainer to me, as each of the first two games of this series has easily went into double digits, the Astros bullpen is pathetic, and Lidge just got put on the DL to make things worse. My only hesitation is the Angles blow this thing open early and then put their bats away. Angels bullpen is solid enough that if they get up 4 or 5 to nothing early, the AStros could pack it in. But.....I'll probably play it after a dinner beer.

Value in Colorado tonight. Sure, Yankees have been playing well, but so have the Rockies. Francis has been good of late, and very good at home. And although it was 5 yrs ago, Pettitte got worked in his only start at Coors.

The Yankees like lefties a bit more than the Rockies, but that's about it.

So we have two teams with basically the same record. One is at home, with the hotter pitcher (last 3), playing well of late (5 of last 6), and they are @ +150 dog?

[MarshallPlan]Because it's the Yankees.[/MarshallPlan]

Anyway, not sure who wins the game but damn if that line isn't a mile high.

Good call on the Rockies :coffee:

Thank you kind sir. Rolling right now...Unless I find reason not to, gonna hit Toronto pretty hard tonight.

So yeah, got down on Toronto for 3 units. Dodgers have been awful in interleague and I think this is a tough spot for Billingsley to move to starter. Marcum went 6 and 2/3 of scoreless in winning AT LA on the 9th. Been pitching pretty well.

Good Luck.

Took yesterday off, won some money playing poker  having a great June, hope it never ends, but I'm sure it will end tonight. Anyway...

Boston (DiceK) -130 @ SD (Maddux)

Sorry, but this line is living off Maddux's reputation alone. Sox just blew up Atlanta at the ATL and I see no reason for the hitting to stop. Bullpen's rested too, just in case. I like this one quite a bit, of course I am a Red Sox fan.

NYY/SF o9 (even)

Yankees can put up 9 on any given night. And tonight they throw the old gascan Igawa out there, sporting a mid 7's ERA. Nice. SF should be able to put up 5 or 6 here, and the Yankees will get to Cain. Give me the over, heavy here.

RL parlay:

Cleveland (Carmona) @ Washington (Bowie)

Florida (Olson) vs Minnesota (Boof)

Obviously I like playing against Washington fairly often, and had a great ride with the Tigers. Now I get another AL Central powerhouse coming into town with probably their second best pitcher. Sure, I'll lay the run. It hurts for the Tribe not having the DH a bit, but that's okay, plenty of offense to go around. On the Florida game, this doesn't seem like a spot I usually lay the RL (home team, toss up starting pitching, young team)...however, when I read the numbers here I have a pretty strong lean for Florida. And truth be told, this is a bit of a Boof fade. I think the Marlins can get a lot of men on base tonight.. Let's see them push 5-6 runs across, should be good to hold.

Slight leans (no plays yet)

Atl vs Detroit

The gurundicate feels this is a great spot for the Braves, after getting embarrassed by the Sox. I get a huge pitching advantage....but I have to look into this one a bit more.

o11 Astros/Rangers

Last time the Rangers played against Williams they put up 14 runs against the Astros. And speaking of walking gascans, there goes Kevin Millwood out to the mound again. I'm pretty sure he's let up at least 5 runs every time he goes out there. Hell, this line should be closer to 15 to be honest.

Hopefully I'll have some more later :lmao:

g'luck

Okay, it appears I'm going out to dinner tonight, so....final card will add the following:

Atl -138

Colorado -101

o11 Houston/Texas

big card for me tonight, looks like I'm going down in flames :IBTL:

I actually had a parlay all loaded up on the Cubs/Sox and Astros/Rangers unders. Just as I hit submit, thunderstikes, I have to reboot my wireless router....and then FIRST PITCH. Great. I hope the AStros and Rangers score about a million today.

On tonight:

LAA -1.5 +110

Snell is okay, but Angels are a much superior team. Unless Snell goes the distance, Angels are winning this one by more than 1 run.

o9.5 (-120) AZ/Bal

No write up, just my numbers say this one is going high.

o7.5(+105) Bos (Wake) @ SD (Young)

This is my 'big bet' of the night. I've got this one going to at least 9 runs, so at 7.5 and plus vigorish, I sent it in.

Bonus bet:

Boxing, Castillo +190 vs Hatten

Okay, don't even know if the names are right, and I know nothing about boxing, but I've read this should be a good fight, and probably to decision, so corrupt judges are going to make me some money

Was dead wrong on the Boston play, which set me back a bit for the evening, even though my other two baseball bets hit. I didn't realize that Chris Young and his 88 mph fastball is near unhittable at home, even though this is the same Chris Young who was very hittable in Texas. And then I was fortunate enough to back a fighter who looked about as enthusiastic to get in the ring as I am when my wife asks me if I want to go grocery shopping with her. I'd say nothing jumped out at me today at first glance. I was looking forward to the over on the Astros/Rangers game, but at 11, and at night, I think that may be too high...so I'll wait and maybe play an under later. So far, I'm on:u9.5 Philly @ St Louiso8.5 Oak @ NYMRL Parlay:Cleveland -1.5 (+105) @ WashingtonLAA -1.5 (+130) vs Pittsburghg'luck

LAD/TB O10 -125 ( I hit this one pretty hard,5 unit bet)

Chc +105

Depending on how things go here I will probably hit Balt/AZ O10 as well.

Wife is out of town with parents. Time to make some money!

Toronto -122 - $100.00

Bos/SD - UNDER 7 - $50.00

Boston - +115 - $50.00

Will follow Pros on the OVER 10 for LAD/TB game - $50.00

G'luck..

I like Atl tonight. Anyone have thoughts on that?
I do as well. Tough spot for a rookie pitcher to come in and get a sweep. I think the Braves will be hungry.
I'll disagree with you both, only because I'd wait until ATL gets more than 1 run in 30+ innings to put any action on them.DET + the Under to complete the sweep. Note: This is assuming Neifi Perez does not play for DET.

Tonight's games, I like both unders.....but here are the plays I decided to make:

Houston -106 (Sampson) @ Texas (Tejada)

Houston bats have been hot...well except when they face Jamey Wright evidently. I expect them to get to Tejada tonight who is sporting a WHIP over 2.00 over his last three and an era over 6 for the year. Sampson has been suprisingly effective this year and I think he'll give me a quality start. Astros bullpen definitely scares me however.

Parlay:

Atlanta (James) +117 and under 11 in the Astros/Rangers game

just a small play so I have action on both games tonight. No Soprano's, probably going to be forced to watch a movie with the family....need something to keep the blood pumpin'

g'luck

4-1 yesterday ONLY because I got greedy and took the Braves in the night capper.

Today's plays:

Toronto with Halladay -140 for $100.00

Boston with Tavarez -127 for $100.00

Angels with Lackey -1.5 for $50.00

G'luck..

:scared:

Not crazy about the action today. Mild leans to San Diego and the Dodgers. Maybe the Red Sox RL +115? Will wait for my business associate to chime in.

Don't trust the Padres, dropping two to the Red Sox is one thing but prior to that they dropped two to the Orioles. Giants coming off two big wins over the Yanks, think a weak offense is just what Lincecum needs to get his confidence back.Dodgers probably win this but damn if they aren't hard to back right now either. Figure very little run support for Penny here so not crazy about them as favorites right now but could be talked into it.Red Sox I think can be played flat at -126.

Personally I like the Nats. Bergmann is pitching really well, he has beaten Atlanta twice this year, outdueling Smoltz in May. The Braves are so off right now they are vulnerable and +169 seems like a good price for the Nats.

Also think Detroit run line is playable. They are on fire right now and its Bonderman vs Loe. Detroit should be able to get some runs on Loe.

Gonna amend this with Bergmann coming off the DL, almost missed that, my shrewd business partner was not hungover this morning thankfully. Not going to play Wash in this spot, doesn't look so good now.
