I hate to blogspam like this, but if you want a different way to play the odds, there is a sweet new website from a company based in Orange County called FantasySportsLive that is offering daily baseball fantasy games with cash prizes. It is kinda hard to describe, but basically you play by choosing which players will have the best stats on a given night. It is completely legal under the UIGEA, there is a loophole for skill-based competitions with guaranteed cash prizes. I've been playing since the launch last month.

The website is www.fantasysportslive.com

If you want to throw a little cash my way, use "fantasy" as a sign up code to get a Double Bonus.

Because it is new, some of the players aren't very good. For those of you that play poker and are used to the term "donkey", I like to call some of the guys "sponkey", like a donkey in sports games.

Just one tonight: Rockies-Pirates O9.5.Shane Youman, who wasn't really even that good in AAA, has his magical mystery tour of two starts with few ER given up come to a rude end tonight, and Josh Fogg does his usual stuck pig impression. Both teams' taxed bullys from last night do little to staunch the bleeding, and crooked numbers abound.
Ugh, lazy.Leaning Bedard +105 tomorrow. Looks great on its face, but it warrants further digging.

Why is LAD only -133 and the over under is 8.5? Durbins ERA is 11.56 I think? This smells fishy to me.Parlay LAD-134, Oak-151Something seems wierd about that LAD line though. I wiould not be surprised if something is going on there.
Good call by you guys that took the over in the LAD game. I knew I should not have touched that. If it seems to good to be true it probly is.

I have not placed any wagers yet. I am feeling gun shy now. Here are my leans for the day.

Cinn/Atl U8.5

Az +131

CWS +126

TB -105

Minn -191 (I hate paying that much so I would parlay this with something)

Balt/Sea U8

Any thoughts?

CWS +130 day game!!!!!

I put this in so I have some entertainment at work. I am now hoping the video of EG's brothers eating 10 egg mcmuffins will be up soon. Then my workday will be complete.

The under in the Min - Det game may be a good pick todayGood value on the Sox but the run support has just not been there

Right now I am leaning

Min - Det U (no line up yet)

Reds +145 (I will bite, good value on Harang and Smoltz is coming off the DL)

Marlins -140 (Time for the Dtrain to pitch a gem......I think)

Also like Pit -110, just a feeling

I agree, if anything you have to play the Tigers at that price. Hasn't Johan struggled against them as recently as last year? Or was that Liriano?

Santana has two losses to the Tigers this year, albeit earlier in the year when he wasn't pitching as well. He definately has turned it on lately, that's why I am not sure I want to take a shot against him.But the way I look at this game is if you have arguably the best team in baseball at +180, you need to at least consider that as a play. Miller is going to be good and he has been decent so far, Detroit is a very good road team, so there are factors to like the Tigers here. That being said, we are passing on the game.

added a parlay of ATL/CHC/LAD paying nearly 3 to 1;

Risking 1 unit; I think you are getting the far bettter team and starter in each play, also each trying to win a series, except for ATL who is trying to avoid the home sweep!

Looking at the last two afternoon games, I think both dogs offer value. Millwood has been pitching well actually, and Oakland can't win right now so why buck the trend?

This next one I like a little more. While Billingsley's last 3 are impressive, two of those were against anemic SF and SD. Dodgers hit righties 20 pts less and the Phils hit em' 12 pts better, if that helps. To me, the Phils are the value play here. I also lean the over as I don't trust either pitcher a ton, and both teams have bats and are hitting. Nice day here to boot so the ball could be jumping...

We played Texas, I like them today.

KC is probably a decent play tonight at long odds. This team tends to give the Red Sox problems and even though Odalis Perez sucks, the Sox still have big problems with lefties at times. Tavarez has taken a step back lately so thats too big a price for him to be favored.

Well then, LET'S GO TEXAS! I accidentally put 3 units on each of those, instead of two. Not gonna change it either.

Bet them last night for a 1/2 unit and will do at least that tonight. No way Tavarez should be that high. This series is like a smorgasbord for Marshall Plan.Wow, that was a trip -- just had an earthquake.

Tigers have indeed hit Santana this year. However, he is 7-0 in past years against DET after the break, not to mention what he's done against the entire league in that span. Tigers have the best road record in the league thus far and are 3-1 at the Metrodome to this point.Agreed it's tough to touch, but if DET keeps it up (getting to Santana), you get a nice payback on parlaying DET & the Over. I don't think Miller is a factor today. He's going to give up 3-4 runs, so your choice is Min/Under or Det/Over, and the second one pays better. At least that's how I see it...

Thanks to Soriano for giving up the two run bomb to Dunn! He lost the W for Smoltz and my fantasy team and cost this parlay :hot: :wall: :hot:

Agreed. I'll be playing it.
Well, the power went out, and my basement is flooded, but at least I cashed a big doggy. :wall:

Exactly. ####### nightmare. Could be worse. I could be at work now, with a huge hangover and no confidence to pick any more winners at baseball. Oh wait, that's me right ####### now. And with the Yankees hot....I swear if my under 97 wager doesn't cash, I'm going to kick something :lmao: :hot:

3-1 yesterday, not a bad day

Today's leans

Indians -160 (gotta love CC)

Rockies no line up yet (My partner and I ALWAYS throw our $ on a pitcher making his 1st big league start. Dream come true, something to prove, no one has seen them before, etc....)

GL fellas

Az/Mil O9 -110
I'm thinking about this one as well but we may play Arizona outright at +144.I think a lot of runs will get scored. Gallardo is not ready to go that many innings since they have been using him out of the bullpen lately. I would think about 5 tops. Milwaukee's bullpen is decent for short work but when you start getting into Spurling and Villanueva, its a little more of a crapshoot. I think both teams will score runs today so the over is probably a good call but still thinking the side is playable for Arizona too.

Our card today...

Ariz-Mil OVER 9 -110

Dodgers -121

Detroit -121

Round Robin Parlay

Texas +140

Cincy +149

Philly +116

Arizona +144
