Tonight I like:SD +118O9.5 TB/DetBos -101SF -200(I know the price sucks on San Fran, and Washington's playing great of late, but the pitching matchup, the Barry watch, I just think SF really is the play here)Also looking at:o8.5 Bos/LAAHouston (+103) Wandy Rodriguez at home has been pretty solid g'luck
Also going to play o11 in the Mil @ Col game.yeah, number is high....but....Vargas ®- fly ball/strikeout pitcher. Rockies can hit/put the ball in playMilwaukee bullpen - Villanueva, Turnbow, Linebrink and Cordero all pitched an inning yesterday in an 11 inning game. Cordero - 40 pitches, probably not running out there tonight.Fogg ® - not a good pitcher, and Brewers stack their lineup well against right handed starters. Both starting pitchers have ERA's in the high 4's, and whips around 1.5See no reason why one of if not both of these teams put up double digits g'luck
crap day for me yesterday.SD threw up on themselves.....Boston crapped the bed....and my big bet was on the Rocks/Brewers over.....7 runs after 2 innings....1 run over the next 6 1/2...WTF

0-2 yesterday

Just out of curiosity AB, is your "Chase Plays", plays using the Roarin's Dog System?
No, it is a system I found elsewhere. I explained it early on in the season and it is in this thread!I do use RS's page every day to get me a rundown for the day! An VERY useful piece of information! :goodposting:

Has anybody tracked the dog system this year or played it a bunch? Just curious

I don't know about that. A weak team with little offense, not playing well, and a young pitcher (albeit good) on the mound? That is a HUGE price to pay for that many question marks. And against a 6-game win streak to boot...
Results aside, I agree with this. I don't think SF wins this game more than 2 times out of 3.
Actually, I played it...two ways...also took the run-line. So I pushed...should've won both though.

I used it for a couple of weeks, and was up and down. I had more losses than wins. However, the totals on Roarin's system are usually solid. Take any unders the system recommends.

Let's try for a better day than yesterday...

Mil/Col O10 -115 I like the over based upon the starters.

Pitt +135: This goes against the OSK free play of the day but I like Pitt here anyway. Gorzelanny is returning from injury after several days off. He claims to feel very strong. On the other side, Micah Owings is a gas can. I think Pitt wins this one behind a strong pitching performance from Gorzelanny.

SD-1.5 -120: Peavy has been dominant; STL was shut out for the first four innings before the wheels fell off of David Wells. Reyes has been Gas can like as well. I think SD wins this going away and therefore bought it down -1.5 as opposed to the ML

CWS +112: I do not believe the Westbrook we have seen the last couple of times out is the real deal. Danks is the better SP IMHO. CWS always play Cleveland tough, and Cleveland has not been scoring runs. I think that this is a good value

2-1 (+0.75U) yesterday, 17-23-1 (-7.02U) overall.

There's a lot out there that I like tonight, I'll play seven sides in all...

Minnesota (-105)

LA Dodgers (+102)

Colorado (-123)

LA Angels (-114)

Detroit (-185)

Arizona (-138)

Baltimore (-105)

Best of luck to all tonight.

You know, Ramirez got ejected early in that game for arguing balls n' strikes. That hurt....just wanted to make you feel better.

Bummed I missed a LARGE fade on the Dodgers today, I see they're already down 4 nil. Damnit.

Looking at tonight's card, the only thing I like is Washington. You know, after starting out 9 - 30-something, they are around 6 games above .500 since. Pretty good, while offering value. The Giants offense is woeful so I like fading them. Zito has been all over the place, but had a nice outing last time in LA. That being said, LA has not been able to hit their way out of a wet paper bag of late, so the blowups he had in each of the 2 games prior might be more indicative.

Washington has been on fire, and Bacsik even moreso, going 3 - 0 with a 2.18, .87 WHIP and only 14 hits in 20.2 innings. Finally, the Nats hit lefties 20 pts higher and the Gigantes hit lefties 10 pts lower. Maybe not a big deal, but it doesn't hurt.

Anyway, all told (like last night), the Nats scream value to me.

3-1 Last Night :coffee:

+ 2.35 Units

although I will admit when Pitt was down 1-0, SD was only up 1-0, there was only one run through 4 in Colorado and CWS was down 2-1 I thought I was staring 0 for 4 in the face......

Back to my normal ways, going 0-3 yesterday :pics:

So let's see if I can get back on track with today's plays

Yanks for 2 Units

Indians for 2 Units

Dog System plays that I REALLY like today:

Cubs/Astros UNDER 7.5 for 4 Units

Yanks/Jays UNDER 8.5 for 4 Units

Again I'm ice cold, so if you REALLY want to make money today, go opposite all the above.

For the day game I have Col-117
Tough call, Brewers like lefties and slaughtered Francis earlier this year (and twice in 05', not that it means a ton). Colorado hasn't seen Gallardo who is pitching real well. Not a big lean but I like the Brewers more.
both pitchers are pitching well of late. Also, Brewers are a totally different team on the road, 13 games under .500. While they do hit lefties fairly well....the Rockies put up more rpg against righties than lefties.I'm fairly indifferent on a side, but I do lean over at Colorado during a day game here. Neither bullpen is particularly strong.

Leaning

Dtrain +123 - The guy has to win soon

Jays +112 - Hate to go against my team but I think they lose this one

Indians -141

Twins -220

I think I like the Astros as well but may stay away.....hard to go against ZAM

CLE/CWS U 8.5 +100: Neither club is hitting well and two dominant pitchers go to the hill.

LAD +102: Billingsley is Underrated IMHO

ATL -109; Smoltz is a much better pitcher than Hernandez and ATL has been ripping the cover off of the ball

Seattle -106: King Felix at a great price. The peripherals do not support Gutherie's performance to date:

Considering but have not played:

Chc/Hou U 7.5

Pitt +124

Washington +137

3-4 (-1.77U) last night and 20-27-1 (-8.79U) altogether.

Two for tonight...

Detroit (-136) - The Tigers should use this series to get themselves back on form and Shields has just been awful lately. Of course, as bad as he's been, the Tampa pen is worse, so the over could be a good play here, but I'll stick with the side.

Los Angeles Angels (-102) - Los Angeles has a phenomenal record at home this year. I've said it before, but I'm a believer in a pitcher being able to silence some bats the first time he faces a team. Well, neither guy has ever faced the opponent, but speaking as a homer (and therefore probably not with my head) I've seen the Sox face mediocre rookies too many times and come away scoring 0, 1, 2 runs and I'm just not comfortable with Lester on the mound, even when he's not walking guys he's still not throwing strikes, going to three ball counts seemingly every batter and just getting himself into (and to his credit, out of) too many jams. He's just an uncomfortable guy to watch and I can't feel confident backing him, so I go the other way.

Going to take Detroit - 132 and Cincy -115

Zambrano owns the Astros....so I'm going to play him big too.

eta Zambrano stats vs Houston this year:

2-0, 0.00 era, .128 ba average against

g'luck

Nice hit on the Rockies laugher...glad I didn't play it. I have a Brewers season win total over that is making nervous (81) now...cushion down to 3.

Didn't see much on today's card, scoured it. Played the Tribe and the Cubs for 2 units each. Like the way Sabathia is going right now...and the difference between two hot pitchers in Houston is that the Cubs hit righties 30 points better, while the Stros hit 'em 30 points lower. And as someone mentioned, Z has owned Houston. Good enough for me.

GL! :lmao:

Day games

Was +113

KC +128

Atl/NYM U8-110

I like Det but I dont like the price -144 :boxing: I am tempted to go with TB because of the price. For now I am leaving it alone.

Tonight I like Balt-119

1-4 last night - WOW that sucks

OK, this is how the game works folks. I give you my picks and you go OPPOSITE! If you have been following this trend, you've now gone 7-0 that last two nights! Don't worry, I'll just bill you for my services later!

Todays Picks

ATL/NYM UNDER 8 - 3 Units

Cinci - for 2 Units

Zona - for 2 Units

Could I suck out loud any louder!! :X

OK does everyone want to know how bad I've REALLY been the last three days. I just got an e-mail from the site I gamble at, and because I took the UNDER yesterday on the Yanks/Jays games, they gave me the 4 Units back to due "Slaughter House" rules. Apparently it states that if you take the UNDER on a total in a baseball game, and it actually goes OVER by 10 or more runs, they refund you your money! So basically it's like I didn't even make that bet yesterday, and it's more cash for me to waste on a losing pick! ;)

Anyways, I fully expect AZ to lose tonight to push the streak to 0-10. I thought I would share that with everyone though. Maybe this refund will change my luck, but I doubt it.

G'luck to all :hot:

Another bad day for me yesterday....hitting a slide here, hopefully I get out of it soon.

Tonight I like SD (Young) -145 and o10 -105 (Cubs @ Rocks)

Young is coming off an injury. Young is unreal at home (and this is a road start). Pads have trouble scoring.

Yep, but St Louis is running Pineiro out there, and Young is good enough that he can keep the Cards bats silent. Big bullpen advantage to the Padres, I am laying the chalk here, I think they win this one.

Cubs and Rockies, frankly I think either team could score 10 here.

g'luck

An 0-fer last night, good thing it was only two plays, brings me down to 20-29-1 (-10.8 U)

Tonight I'm going with...

Cleveland (+126) - I know, it's Buehrle against Laffey and the Indians are only playing .500 ball right now, but...the Indians are the better team overall and they are the team in the pennant race. I want my money with the team that's playing for right now especially when the number is positive.

Arizona (-139) - Pittsburgh 5-15 over their last 20, Arizona 15-5 over the same stretch. Arizona's won 8-10 over Pittsburgh (not that it means much, since it stretches over two seasons)

Colorado (-112) - Lilly's last start in Colorado: 1 2/3, 5 runs (4ER), only 1K. That said, the Cubs have won 7 of his last 8 starts, so I may be playing with fire with this pick.

Seriously, I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard when I saw the refund. Ive almost cleared my account with the site b/c of this streak. I'm drunk right now, sooo.... This leads me to loading up on the AZ game.Adding two more Units to the AZ game for a total of 4 Units on AZ.I have the other two units left on the Dallas game at -5.5. officially cleaned out if I lose BOTH of these games! :lmao: If I go 0-2 after these two picks, I'm blaming the Captain Morgan and Cokes I've had today!

 I've got my rally cap on folks and I'm ready to continue my two game winning streak!

Today's plays:

Boston - 3 Units: Boston is 6-2 this year against the O's, and they own Baltimore at Camden, going 15-5 at Camden Yards since 2005. Dice K, has been a Road Machine this year, and I think they cool off Bedard and the O's.

Blue Jays - 2 Units: Marcum has a 7-2 mark this year, and the Jays have won 4 of his last 5 starts. Meche counters having lost 3 in a row. I'll take the Jays

ChiSox/Seattle UNDER 9 runs - 2 Units: This is a Dog System total play I like.

G'luck :hot:

I think Bedard and Dice K are pretty evenly matched up. Bos has the better bullpen. Bos has owned Balt. Balt bullpen was worked over last night (I think? I actually heard that from someone else). Bos has the better team.I am going with Boston. Just my 2 cents.I usually just put my picks up without any explanation. Most of my picks are made looking at Roaring Sonorans dog page,Lee Sinins reports, and various stuff I read. I then go with my gut. I dont give explanations because I know I would get a lot of :goodposting: but I am way ahead on the year. I have made a withdrawal and my account is now 4 times larger then it was when baseball started.Historically I will lose quite a bit of it on the NFL. I am really going to try to limit my football betting this year.
