What's going on here?  Now the CydoDyn God Patterson is being shady?

Said on Dr Drew show they would move forward with Operation Warp Speed....except they aren't even being considered for it.

Claims he had no idea he was granted 500k+ shares and sold off 400k of them.  How in the world would he not know that? 

 
There's some new blood at CYDY, marketing professionals and the like. We will see what communication looks like with some leadership and experience. I like to dream that's why things have been quiet: NP is being told to $TFU.

He never said they would move forward with OWS, he just said that cytodyn had been in contact. 

 
I dont care about the OWS comment, they were probably contacted, doesn't mean they had approval and I don't see Patterson inferring anything like that.  Much ado about nothing there.

The shares comment I don't understand though

 
The team responsible for reviewing the materials makes clear to companies that submissions are for informational purposes only and don’t lead to funding on their own, the official added. Companies must apply to specific grant programs to receive funding, the official said, which CytoDyn hasn’t done at this time.

They were contacted by OWS, which is standard practice for biotechs that may consider submitting for Covid related funding (if they feel they have a candidate product that may meet requirements).

Dr. Patterson hooked them up with Barda, to which CYDY sent information on the drug.  This information was reviewed by OWS officials (apparently) and they aren't doing anything else with it.  Article seems fishy because in it... it describes the process for OWS funding, where companies have to submit specific applications to specific grant programs to receive funding.  CYDY has not done this part of it yet.  So no wonder OWS hasn't "done anything with it."  

So like you said, OWS has not "rejected" their application.  They haven't submitted one...yet.  They've only submitted preliminary information about the company and the drug, through Barda.  So there's nothing for OWS to even do at this point, according to the article.  If CYDY wants OWS funding, they have to apply to specific grant programs.  

The line "experts reviewed the submission and opted not to proceed further at this time" is fishy and alerts people like AF to say "AH HA!, you were rejected by OWS!!"  

But that line contradicts the process that is explained in the article itself.  OWS won't make a ruling on funding yet because CYDY has only submitted preliminary information.  They haven't submitted an actual application for funding.  yet.  That's how I see the article.  

Timing of this and AF's tweetering are right on schedule since the PR about meeting the S/C patient numbers came out last night.  I'm sure they were holding this at the ready for the first/next PR from CYDY to hit.  Not surprising.  I think it speaks well to the SP since it really hasn't plummeted that much today.  

As for the talk about shares held by BP, who knows what that's all about and what it has to do with OWS.  Maybe a tweet from BP will clear it up.

I should edit to say, the Night King can say whatever he wants and I won't take that guy seriously.  He's an outright liar with an agenda but the Wall Street Journal publishing things definitely gets to me.

Pretty sure Patterson never sold any.

 
And seem to remember NP saying that they won't apply for OWS or government funding until the product is approved by the FDA.  Cart before the horse.  So what's the point of the article except to stir things up.  

If it's true that OWS officials have seen information submitted by CYDY, then that's proof that they are indeed in contact.  That's a good thing and sets the questions surrounding the email from OWS to BP and NP to rest.  imo.

He didn't.  There was a registration made in order for certain people to have the ability to sell their shares, which listed him as a potential selling shareholder for 400k shares, but there has never been anything filed regarding an actual change in his ownership.

ETA:  I'm a dummy, as I assumed this person was an officer, director, or 10% shareholder.  If not, no filing would be necessary, so we don't know.

Same writer that did the hit piece on NP a few weeks ago. I’d say that it’s not a leap to think that he knows AF and gets info from him.

There’s no real good reason why he’d write about CYDY twice this month. I don’t want to be a conspiracy theorist but look at his articles the past couple months and tell me why CYDY would even remotely be on his radar.

At this point, he isn't technically attached to the company, so wouldn't he be considered an independent shareholder just like people here?  Why would there have to be a filing for him to sell?  I am asking because I generally do not know how that works.  If I leave a job, and they had given me shares while I worked there, nobody if filing paperwork when I sell them.

Whoops, that'll teach me to pop in without knowing all the facts.  I assumed we were talking about an officer, director, or 10% owner.  If not, then you're right; there wouldn't be a filing made.  

 
This is why the uplisting is so important. These shorts can literally twist everything they want and basically lie with no recourse on OTC stocks. It does suck to read what they post and then realize how much is just lying. I mean look at BP’s statement. He doesn’t think of the stock as real. Does that mean he actually thinks of it as a scam? Would he seriously be on Dr. Drew talking about the drug if he didn’t think the company was real. Plausible thing to me is that it’s $1.5M and he’s saying that he doesn’t think about it being real money sitting in his checking account. Maybe he doesn’t care about it or it’s just paper right now. I don’t know but it does suck to “lose” money on a hit piece that twists words into what they obviously aren’t. If he thought the company was fake then BP would just say it’s a scam and the drug doesn’t work.

 I agree with you here.  I think the quotes are grossly misleading, but that is what passes for journalism today.

I really don't care about the hit pieces.  Either this #### works and it gets approved, or it doesn't.  No amount of negative or positive fluff is going to change that.  I have my holdings and I have a price target set to when I would be willing to sell.  I may never see it, but I accept that.  I used to be more invested than I was comfortable with, but now I am right where I am comfortable.  Others may feel different, and that's fine.  As we like to say, YMMV.

I know it sucks seeing the red in the account, but in the long run, I truly don't think it matters.

Does anyone know why people on the YMB and other boards are saying the UK "asked" for phase III?  Is that a real response to the request we made to them for EUA or is that just a misinterpretation of them allowing Phase III for our s/c group?  

I feel like they are mixing the m/m EUA request with the s/c phase III news.

Am I missing something?

Agreed. That’s how I read it. Brushing it off not saying it’s a fake company. Twisting words is par for the course for people that bold face lie to make money.

Just looked at one of these videos for the first time.  Jesus, THAT’S what I’m gambling on here??  I’ve seen grammar school news programs look more professional.

When things turn out in the end, I’m sure the consensus will be it was the shorts and haters fault, or maybe who could have seen that coming.

You seem really confident.  I'm invested and I'm not even as confident as you.

Why are you so sure this is going to fail on anything scientific?  There are obviously doctors from top programs who believe its going to work.  Not sure how you can ignore that with any confidence.

Going further than that, why are you so much more confident in lenzilumab?  We are just as blind to that data.   The anecdotal with Cytodyn results gives some reason to believe that they may have something for severe/critical but you are quick to throw that out when it comes to leronlimab.

This article is slated to be published in August - impact factor of the journal is 2.5ish which is solid but not *amazing*. Patterson’s paper if rumors are to be believed has been through peer review and is awaiting editorial decision.
