B*U*S*T*E*DBut I am sure he will find a way to avoid really being caught
Doakes is about to be framed as the "Butcher", not sure how but he will be, 4 episodes left
Not sure how Doakes is going to be able to explain his findings to anyone. Dexter has him right where he wants him. Just don't know where that is.
DoakesAnd how does he let people know they are there in the first place? Tell them he broke into Dexter's house? He may be working outside the law and take things into his own hands now.I think Doakes, if he has any brains, is going to have to put the slides back. No way on Earth he can roll into the station with them - he, as a cop, would know they'd be inadmissable due to illegal search/seizure statutes and all that. If he flies off the handle, he's screwed.
Pretty sure they rerun it tonight anyway...10 or 11 IIRC.i missed last nights episode...did anyone see it? what did ya think? hopefully i can order it ondemand tonight.
i loved this season, but didnt like the ending too much......was hoping for a cliffhanger surprise, but it was pretty much the ending i expected.great great season, going to miss it.Season finale was STRONG.Damn, this show is balls-out awesome. Gonna miss it ('til season 3 starts.)

What is the Eye network? This show would certainly need to be edited before it could go on regular CBS.For those of you who are interested in this show but do not have Showtime.

not sure but it's usually a couple months after the season endsanyone know when season 2 will be available to buy?
Ms. Morgan has a lot of good one liners that will certainly be edited. When the new season starts up, it will be on Showtime won't it?It's going to be really interesting to see how this plays out on CBS. Nudity and sex not a problem, and the blood is often not much more than a typical CSI episode, but Ms. Morgan and Doaks sure do enjoy the F-bomb, so that could bring issues.
yes. They were already pimping season three, right at the end of season two. I don't think any of its filmed yet, but they promise a new season in 2008.Ms. Morgan has a lot of good one liners that will certainly be edited. I highly agree about the CBS version...I'd HIGHLY recommend the DVD's.Never seen the Wire, but I plan on starting soon w/ season 1. Deadwood got really old really fast for me. I stopped watching a couple of episodes into season 2.Wife and I just finished the first two seasons and loved it! It amazes me that so few people have ever heard about Dexter but I imagine this will all change once it airs on CBS. I would still recommend renting the first two seasons because I imagine it would be like watching the Sopranos on regular cable (just wouldn't do it justice). Anyone hear anything about Season 3? A cliffhanger would have been nice but I trust the writers know what they're doing to keep up the same level! I've seen The Wire and Deadwood mentioned a few times in this thread, would people recommend these if we liked Dexter?
They will be starting from the beginning on Feb 17th I believe. Is CBS picking up where the series currently is...or starting from the beginning?
just finished the season 1 dvds last nightliked it enough to watch season 2 after watching homicide and the wire I found alot of the drama at the police hq overly dramatic and cheesythe stuff with dexters girlfriend was annoying toois season 2 better or as good as season 1?i really want to see this showcool concept and great actorhave to wait for dvds
Same here, just finished season 1 on dvd. I watched it because I had heard some good things about it and I loved Michael C. Hall in Six Feet Under. I liked it, I wouldn't say I loved it. I defintely am interested in season 2. Does anyone know when that is released on DVD? Thought season 2 was just as good as 1. Some of it even better.Same here, just finished season 1 on dvd. I watched it because I had heard some good things about it and I loved Michael C. CBS is starting with Season One. Showtime has the rights to Season 3.ok, in a state of desperation due to the writers' strike, cbs buys dexter - to what extent? a few episodes? the first season? the show, hook, line and sinker? in other words, who's got the rights to season 3?
Deadwood and The Wire are dramatically different than Dexter and each other. Enjoyment of one is not a good predictor of enjoying the others. Deadwood and The Wire are both slow developing shows where the storyline for the season often takes a long time to become apparent. Dexter OTOH gets to the point much quicker.Personally I am a huge Deadwood fan, second only to Band of Brothers in HBO's pantheon of original programming IMO. Al Swearengen is one of the best written characters in the history of television, and Ian McShane (the actor who plays Al) is brilliant in the role. There is excellent character development and the supporting cast does a tremendous job creating the feeling of frontier society in the absence of government or laws. I find the show intelligent, exciting, often hysterically funny and deeply compelling. I think many people have difficulty with the fact that Deadwood is written in reasonably authentic period english so the dialogue can sometimes be difficult to follow, until your ear adjusts for how people speak in the show. Personally I find the dialogue to be very rich and colorfully presented, adding substance and a feel of authenticity to the show but I can see how others found that it made the show unnecessarily complex and difficult to follow. The Wire is easier to relate to and creates a lot of imagery that drives home salient points about the nature of the drug war that the viewer can easily relate to. It is very non-traditional for a cop show in that they really show how difficult it is to build a case that will stand up in court. This show is the polar opposite of Vic Mackey kicking down doors and knocking heads together to nail the bad guys. The Wire shows busts not over dramatized shootouts, it deals with political considerations the legality of evidence collection and the political considerations that shape the way law enforcement approaches the job of handling crime. The Wire is a very intelligent and well written show.Neither of them strike me as being particularly similar to Dexter in style or substance.Wife and I just finished the first two seasons and loved it! refuse to watch the CBS versionOne of my all time favorite shows ever. I don't think it translates well to CBS.
