Official Dez Bryant (2 Viewers)

Dez was never a receiver that got fed the ball, I think there's a chance Dak actually does that and just gives Dez the majority of his throws (good or bad).  Dak probably isn't ready to be an actual starter but he's shown he's not afraid to chuck the ball around.  I say very slight hit to Dez's value.

The offense will become even more running oriented with Elliot being featured but I think Morris who has had an excellent camp gets a significantly bigger role.

Dez Bryant (concussion) will participate in individual drills at Sunday's practice.
So will Tyrone Crawford. Both players are still waiting for full clearance after suffering concussions last week. Dez should be ready for the Cowboys' season opener against the Giants two weeks from today.

So would people lean towards A-Rob, Miller, or even Bell before Dez with a late 1st in a PPR redraft? I mean Dak looked outstanding but this was also against vanilla defenses during the preseason....

I've had Dez behind ARob all offseason. I'm still taking Dez over Miller and Bell.

Had a heavy PPR FBGs draft today and I almost thought Dez would get back to me at 2.9 even with 2 keepers. I took A-Rob at 1.04 (really like him and AJ Green went 1.03 after Brown/Julio). I had contemplated Dez and AJ at 1.04 as well, but Green got picked and then the Romo news came out. I think Dak is obviously an upgrade from the trash last year, but when he starts seeing real defenses with all starters he may not be the next big thing. Still amazed that Bryant almost got back to me.

Or they just run a lot and/or he feeds Witten a lot.

I just love checking into threads like this and see that people can make any excuse to benefit the position they want.
Those who like Dez have many reason to hype him, and those who dont have many reasons to hate him.
Just like every fantasy player.

A healthy Dez will be fine and worth where he is picked.

When Murray led the league in touches Dez had 88/1320/16.

He's shown be can produce in a run heavy scheme. Dez is a WR who can get wide open on his own, so he'll be just fine with Dak.
You're downplaying Romo's experience a lot with this though.  Romo is light years ahead of Dak with reading defenses and checking out of plays to get the ball to Dez.

Reading defenses matters more for the 2nd and 3rd reads. More often then not young QBs will force feed a WR as talented as Dez.

Dak will have a great run game and plenty of time to throw. I'm afraid of injuries more than QB play.

I was initially optimistic about Dez with Dak running the show.  But it looks ike he's a dink and dunker.  Not good for Dez. I know it's only 1 game, but I'm no longer optimistic.

Probably tough to get a decent deal considering his lofty ADP, but he might be a decent buy. Prescott didn't look lost and maybe a couple of losses will prompt Garrett to loosen up on the dink and dunk to Beasley every other play. He's a rookie and nobody without Blue Star colored glasses thought he was Andrew Luck

Let's not blame Dak, Dez need to play better it's that simple. How many more time will he have a TD called back after a review? Dez need to catch those balls.

Tex

I guess.  I saw a guy without burst who couldn't get any separation.  He looked pretty awful to me and I caught the entire game.
That's pretty much his game, right? Out bigging smaller DBs at the point of reception? I don't remember him being a speed guy. Maybe more Benjamin than Green

The entire game plan was GOD-AWFUL today. This is one of the few games during the JG era that I can remember where I came away saying they were badly out-coached. I have faith they will fix it moving forward by playing to the offense's strength. I don't own Dez but if I did, I wouldn't panic.

That's my fear. It seemed like every pass was targeted to Witten or Beasley.

Dak needs to open it up more.

Yep.  The folks above can make fun of my 'panic' post all they want.  For those of us who watched most of the game, Dak is a dink and dunker.  A lot of Witten and a lot of Beasley.  Dez will have some good games no doubt but only against the softest of defenses.  I hope I'm wrong.

Anyone bought here?  His owner's panicking in my league, but wants Cobb +a future 1, and it's dynasty... Cobb's a full 2 years younger than Dez, which has me hesitant.

More times than not, I feel like Jason Garrett gets out coached.   I don't ever recall a gameplan or halftime adjustment where I thought he made a significant impact.

Cobb is never going to exceed his best season in 2014. I think I would move him for Dez and a future one with out batting an eye. Dez is a bona-fide stud....Cobb is not. I think Dez is healthy and will be fine this season and beyond. He is a monster. Cobb is a ##### tease man.  Dez...3 straight stud #1 WR years...hurt last season. Healthy this season. Dak and him will be fine man.

Heavy handed owner who I have given a lot of praise for his work off the field and orchestrating the expansion or move into Los Angeles, owners love him. But he has proven he can't hire a HC with a real backbone and even when he did, Parcells and he didn't get along too well.

They let Stephen have more say the last couple years in the draft and whatnot, they need to go out and get a coach who is as good as the rest of the team. Plenty of good names out there, go get Chucky, he's perfect for their team and the way they play football in Dallas.

I'm definitely feeling like my opinion on the coach from 5 years ago or when he was hired as OC but being groomed behind Philips. Dallas needs to take the next step to being run as well as some of the elite teams in the NFL, most don't have owners who want to be the GM or let's be honest, Jerry would love to be the head coach for a year.

He's basically Joe Philbin with Jerry Jones' backing.

You read that backwards... he wants the 1 with Cobb... and now he wants Sharpe too... so Sharpe, Cobb, 1 for Dez.  I agree Dez is awesome, but dear lord that's a ton.

No No, nobody is that bad. He doesn't seem to be able to get the team to respond when they get hit with adversity which happens a lot in the NFL.
There are usually 2-3 times in a game where Garrett looks completely lost or over his head like Philbin.   When has JG ever got his team to rally around him in response to adversity?   Last year without Dez and Romo was a disaster, his dealing of Hardy situation was bad.   IIIRC I think he got a pretty bad team to 8-8 when he took over midseason, but beyond that he has largely been a statuesque HC of talented teams with not much success, like Philbin.

You make a strong case so I will simply say...you know what's coming...

Gravy!

That's a nice haul on paper. But Sharpe....too early to tell in a weak offense and The 1st rounder a crap shoot. He gets the Stud.

You our are banking on Sharpe if you take the deal.

Anyone worried about the match up with Norman and Breeland next week? I know Big Ben and AB torched the Skins...but that's Big Ben and not Dak.

I have Dez benched for Marvin Jones, Michael Floyd, and Cooper.

Still reading it backwards.  I'm trying to buy Dez.
