***Official*** Dwayne Washington, RB, DET (1 Viewer)

But he was sitting behind Abdullah and Riddick. Abdullah is injured week 2 and the Lions gave the ball to Riddick in week 3. Riddick was outperformed by Washington so he leads the backfield in Week 4 before injuring his ankle in the 2nd quarter.

Riddick can't run the ball and Zenner hasn't been competition either.
But Washington did not "...leads the backfield in week 4..." he had 3 touches for 14 yards.

Riddick was not "...outperformed by Washington..." Washington has been a better runner and Riddick a better receiver.

Washington represents the hope that we have a lottery ticket but, in his limited opportunities, he hasn't demonstrated much reason to have confidence in that ticket.  Now he's hurt and there is going to be more competition for touches.  He's a speculative hold at best if there is nothing better on the waiver wire.

Tried to jump ship but got outbid for Smallwood. Any word on if he might play this week? If not is Powell a better option?
Dropped Smallwood for Powell, the more immediate potential touches is with Powell, who has a nice track record from the end of 2015, especially in PPR.

Shallow rosters, bye weeks, injuries. It's easy to understand why people are dropping an albeit-extremely talented but injured RB who hasn't been given many touches.
I think if you acquired in dyansty you hold, as well as if you're doing well in a re-draft and can afford to hold with 1-2 roster spots. If you're struggling in re-draft, you should not be faulted for dropping heading into bye weeks, especially if you're juggling injuries as well.

Deciding if I want to drop him for Powell in a standard league.  I hate to do this dance, as I dropped Powell for Dixon last week.

At least Powell has a clearer path to touches with and without an injury

who has a better SOS I wonder

Just dropped him for DeAndre Washington after hearing LM is banged up and he`s starting vs SD ...id rather take my chances with Oaklands DW

Eiferts set back is forcing my hand. Going to have to drop Washington or Dixon. Leaning Washington because of the injury and Dixon's clearer path to starting. Going to wait until we know if Washington is ruled out before I make my decision.

I'm curious why so many are jumping off of Dwayne Washington.  I can understand for players with a bigger opportunity (eg. Howard, Dixon).  But otherwise, he looked like the Lions best back and showed ability both catching and receiving. He also was the goal line back.  As long as its not a serious injury he'll still have a real chance to grab a stranglehold on this job.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but it seems quick to drop Washington because he had a minor injury in his first game.
I dropped him for the bye week because I feel I can get him back. I don't expect much out of him this week so it was a calculated risk.

Still holding... it's a marathon, and he's depth in deeper leagues for me.  I don't expect he takes the gig this week or next, but I also don't think Zenner is very good or Abdullah is coming back.

Meet back in week 8, or sooner if circumstances change.

I've been one of the bigger Dwayne supporters in here but it seems pretty simple to me.  With bye weeks, injuries, other situations many people need someone they can put in their lineups now.  Washington's role was not solidified before getting hurt and how he's out this week at least most likely.  And its easy to say minor injury but foot/ankle injuries can linger for RBs.  So its easy to see why people are dropping him depending on league set up and the rest of their roster.

I'm holding him in both of my leagues with deep benches where I have two elite starting RBs and hope to use him as a flex/bye week option in a couple of weeks.  In my shallow bench 14 team league he was dropped and is still out there.  I will try to pick him up after this week if he's still available- which is why I don't mind seeing him sit out this week and hopefully get his foot healthy- but I just don't have room to roster him this week due to injury and other considerations.

I picked up Oak Washington and will most likely be starting him in the flex this week.  I still believe in Dwayne this year but its pretty easy to see why many are dropping him based on their team/league circumstances.

I dropped Detroit Washington for Dixon.  Washington has potential but he is not going to do anything this week.  If Riddick and Zenner struggle badly, I can probably pick Washington back up next week If I find the bench space.  There were simply too many better options on the WW this week.

I dropped him for Wendell Smallwood.

A few knocks on Washington:

 1. He's hurt and we're not sure how long he'll be out.

2. The Lions still love Riddick both carrying the ball and catching the ball. Even if Washington gets early down carries, his production is still very limited with Riddick being around.

3. The Lions defense sucks. Because of this, they will be behind in most games and will be forced to pass....which means more action for Riddick...not Washington.

I'm out.

Is Washington the starter this week?
DeAndre Washington is the Raiders' likely starter for Week 5 against the Chargers.

Washington's touch share has grown every week this season, and Latavius Murray's toe injury will give the Raiders an excuse to expand Washington's role significantly versus San Diego. Washington lost a near-costly late-game fumble in last week's win over Baltimore, which would be more of a concern for Washington's playing time if committee partner Jalen Richard hadn't committed two drops. We are guessing Washington will handle 13-17 touches against the Chargers with Richard mixing in for 7-12 and Jamize Olawale possibly vulturing short-yardage work.

This is big news for Oak Washington.  RB2 when Murray is out.

It is all about keeping the Washington train going.  The engine may have been switched out but that is a minor detail that must be overlooked.

"Who's in your lineup this week?"

"Washington."

"Washington who?"

"D. Washington"

"Oh."

"Oak Washington?"

"No Detroit?

"Huh?"

"You said Oak Washington."

"No I said Oh"

"O stands for Oakland."

"No I said Oh!"

"Yeah Oak Washington."

"This thread is for D. Washington."

Yeah I know, D. Washington plays for Oak."

"But Swaggy plays for Detroit".

"I know!"

"Who's on first?"

ok.... this is  funny  :lmao:

Just dropped him for a kicker. Off the train. Shallow bench league 14 reamer no room with Dixon and Smallwood there too.

Hopefully he doesn't play this week flies under radar and I can pick back up next week.

Think Zz will steal some meaningful touches

4. Zack Zenner is floating around too

He's hurt, not dead. Not out for the year and all these guys that were head over heels have moved on.
Man you are so awesome! How did you know he would not produce based on an injury? Wow absolutely amazing. We need more people like you on this forum. Hats off to you.

I can't believe this thread is still going on. Dump him for now and move on
A few of us play in Dynasty leagues, so it shouldn't be that hard to believe that this thread being updated is of interest to some.

I had a dream last night where Dwayne Washington was being interviewed on TV and he said this: "Anyone dropping me in FF is making the mistake of a lifetime."

So now I'm holding indefinitely.

True story.

Fantasy football dreams = victory the week you have them.

Okay. But there's been no action and no news. The thread keeps being bumped while nothing is going on, so people like me keep checking in thinking something is happening only to be fooled.

So we should hold for a couple more weeks?
I'm holding for a couple more weeks if not all season. It's such a small sample but the target he got in this game is encouraging and even if Riddick doesn't get hurt Washington has some stand alone value. If Riddick goes down you might have a 3 down back. There is just not a lot of RB's with that level ceiling.....
