id say thats a brilliant strategy this morningfThis is a bad matchup. GB run D is legit and even with the injuries they still have Mike Daniels who spends a lot of time on the other side of the line of scrimmage.
But I'm starting Washington over Rashad Jennings. F it.

Just to add - I really expected Travis Swanson to be the weak link on the Lions O-line this season. He was ranked 33rd by PFF last season; this year he's fifth. Didn't even allow a pressure last week.First great breakdown the one thing I wish I knew more about teams is their Oline especially when picking up their rb's. I will tell you this Jason Kelce center for the Eagles will give Tomlinson a run as worst Olineman in the NFL this year. I had Riddick on my dynasty team already but added Washington this week I honestly don't care who starts just please no rbbc
Rappaport v SchefflerSo not more than 5 minutes ago RotoWorld had posted a headline saying Abdullah was expected back by Week 10 and now that post is gone and they are NOW saying the Lions think Abdullah is done for the year. Geezuz.
On ESPN NFL Insiders, Adam Schefter said the Lions "think" Ameer Abdullah (injured reserve) is done for the year with a torn ligament in his foot.
This directly conflicts with a Sunday morning report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who said Abdullah was expected back "shortly after" the team's Week 10 bye. It is possible the Lions do not know either way at this point. Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington will handle the bulk of the backfield work for the foreseeable future. Sep 25 - 10:31 AM
Well I know a lot of people are hopping on Orleans, so you're probably fine considering him. I think they'll lean heavily on Vereen, but I could be wrong.Meaning?
It is funny.Well I know a lot of people are hopping on Orleans, so you're probably fine considering him. I think they'll lean heavily on Vereen, but I could be wrong.
Also, Week 3 lineup decision between a couple third stringers....you gotta admit that is pretty funny. Typifies how crazy our hobby is sometimes.
Personally I think if you're going with a WTH decision like that, go with the guy with more upside. Dwayne can score from anywhere on the field. Darkwa is a JAG, but hey, I guess some people see something in him I don't. GL GB

Eerie. I dropped ferguson this morning for darkwa which is why I'm now considering darkwa vs Washington. It is funny.
In a league where I don't have Washington I'm now deciding whether or not to play Josh Ferguson or drop him and play Darkwa. I'm staring at my laptop trying to decide as we speak. In week friggin 3. These are my choices....

Well, yes, I do see the absurdity of this situation, but largely me ####### up some keeper decisions, but anyway...Well I know a lot of people are hopping on Orleans, so you're probably fine considering him. I think they'll lean heavily on Vereen, but I could be wrong.

Reps are coming for the Dwayne Train unless the score/game plan to run gets away from the Lions. Riddick is what he is, not a between the tackles banger. I have to think Washington will get some reps to show what he's got. If he looks good, that's more on Riddick ineffectiveness in pure rushing situations.Started Theo, he currently has 7 touches for -1 yards. 5 carries for -10 hahahaha
Washington looks legit against a pretty good run d. Conversely ridding looks really really bad. Stats for ridding (6 carries for -11 yards) don't even describe how bad he looks running between the tackles (no power, no vision, no balls to jam it up in there).VaTerp said:3 carries for 11 yards, 2 of the runs for first downs I believe.
He looks relatively good to me. Game script today is gonna work against him as they are down 21-3 with GB threatening to score again.
They're down 21. Of course Riddick is going to play most of the 2nd half.Riddick back out to start the second half. After totalling negative yardage in the first. Time to slow this train down, they're not trusting Washington yet.
And a lot of it is out of shotgun. They're running the ball the first drive
True but would have been nice if he managed to get it in.And a lot of it is out of shotgun.
Looky looky....
Damn terrible blocking on goaline play.
This game shouldnt change anyone's outlook. Rewards are coming.
No people weren't.People in this thread were advising to start him over RBs that weren't in a committee. That was obviously overblown hype.
Bump said quotes? I'm sure someone advocated this, but that's ACF stuff anyways. I feel like the general sense in here was get him on your roster, but not get him in your lineup for Week 3. Definitely a need to see more situation.People in this thread were advising to start him over RBs that weren't in a committee. That was obviously overblown hype.
Yeah that's ludicrous. He's had some decent rushes today and I think you're neutral/optimistic based on what we've seen so far. This is definitely a committee for the time being until Dwayne shows he can outplay Riddick in all aspects, which he hasn't while looking decent on some carries. On mobile, but definitely in this thread. I'm not even counting the other thread, the START WASHINGTON OVER GB THIS WEEK!!!!! thread.
9 yards on 10 carries for TR?Yeah that's ludicrous. He's had some decent rushes today and I think you're neutral/optimistic based on what we've seen so far. Exactly how I hoped it would work out. Looked much better side by side and allowed them to get back in the game. Awful game script for Washington being down so much so early but he ran really well vs a good run defense on the road. It's a marathon, not a sprint...Washingtons the best RB on this team now.Banger said:As a Washington owner wanting him to get a shot.....I think it's fine that they face a tough defense as they were reportedly going to give Riddick a big workload...so they can give the workload to Riddick, hopefully he fails and they turn to plan B.
I don't know. Hard to commit to run when you're down 21-0 before you break a sweat. They'll watch the film and see that Washington was far better. They'll scheme for him to get the ball more and increase his touches.Washington looked the way better RB, Riddick the way better receiver. Detroit still has no commitment to a run game, and them getting down early has nothing to do with it.
DwayneWashington was a dud for whoever started him. You can say he looked better all you want but Riddick had 7 receptions.
Riddick 50-75 total yds+ 4-6 rec a week
Washington 10/50 and a nice ypc but never a real commitment from the Lions to run the ball.
Which RB is more valuable?
Theo obviously, but I don't think they can continue to try and pound Theo inside. That isn't his game. They almost have to use use Washington more.Washington was a dud for whoever started him. You can say he looked better all you want but Riddick had 7 receptions.

Today when they were down down by 30 or the rest of the year? If they go down20+ each game from here on out I agree that Riddick will likely out produce him.Washington was a dud for whoever started him. You can say he looked better all you want but Riddick had 7 receptions.

I'm just saying that TODAY he was a dud, less than 40 yds. It's obvious he is their best runner but I'm not sure what 10-12 carries in this offense is gonna yield...Today when they were down down by 30 or the rest of the year? FTFY. The Loins are going to be playing defense all day and the O will be playing from behind. This is tailor-made for Riddick to get 8-12 catches.

Well, I was half-right. Turns out he didn't need to keep throwing so much after scoring 4 TDs in the first 2:25 of the game.Hogwash. Rodgers has 5 TDs (2 rushing) in 2 games. The Loins don't have half the defense that the Vikings do. Packers are gonna put up 40 at home. I'm predicting 325 passing, 4 total TDs for Rodgers this week.
Absolutely. Worth giving it some time.So what's our plan, keep hanging on for now?
