I'm so freaking addicted to this game right now. I just want to take a break from work to go play....

Anyway, I can't decide which kit I want to play more. Engineers are fun, I like being in a tank as an engineer. I might try medic though. I want to get some ranks quick so whatever gets me to say Corporal or Sergeant.

Well, I went home early from work today, but I've been to :X to even think about playing. Quickest way to rise up is a medic in my opinion. I used to play spec ops, but I got addicted to the point scoring abilities of the medic. Dropping med packs and reviving people are quick and easy points. Also get a decent gun, and you have the ability to heal yourself at any time.

Well, that server is great, but unless you're in the game in the same squad with those people, it's not really good. I've had ome success with the in-game chat, but it goes out halfway through my speech sometimes.

Get Medic 1 then Medic 2 if you want to advance quickly. The 2nd Medic gun is awesome, but then again, the 1st Spec ops is very nice. The Assault is OK, but the 2nd Assault is much better than the 1st.

Explosives badge isnt needed to get 1st sarge by the way. Also, i looked at all the reqs for the medals. I think its pretty clear i wont be recieving any of them unless the reqs are changed.

It's awesome close quarters, and actually is effective at a distance if you line up the center of the crosshair. That and the special forces unlock are the only ones I use with regularity.

the anti tank unlock is awesome close up, but i hate the anti tank kit as a whole. the fact that it takes so many shots to take out a healthy tank is way too frustrating. Id rather use spec ops, the TOW missles or even the AA sites.

The tank chart that was posted a few weeks back changed my life. I rarely have to hit a tank more than twice anymore, and on the good servers, it's getting harder and harder to hit a tank up close with the C4 and come out alive. ETA But I agree on the balance of the kit, overall.

yea, that chart helped me, but i still cant kill tanks with the rockets. They are either too far away to hit the sweet spots(they are always moving) or they are too close to get a shot off without being noticed and hit through the wall that i dive behind after firing.

Spec ops for me. nothing more rewarding in the game then killing a tank when he doesnt even see it coming

Jumping on SF for hours tonight. I'm in TS IP: wolfmon.wolfservers.com:8790. Our TS might be getting its own server soon. At night, there are usually a few of us on. Can you maybe put all the TS IPs on the first post mad cow? Just whisper to an SA to get registered, otherwise, they are preety good with seeing an unregistered guy and speaking with them.

The good players are on at night. Man, it's like two different worlds. I come up during lunch, play a 32 player game and get 25 or so points. At night, I am lucky to get to double digits.

yup, play gets better at night. Myself and gamerboy just played in a good squad for about 3 pr 4 matches. Did really well. i saw corporation get on there at the end, and i believe **** vermiel was on the other team.

Still no knife kills. Didnt even get an opportunity for one on the city maps. I dont see how the hell anyone gets them. Its so fast paced and run and gun that there is no way to sneak behind anyone that is even somewhat competent. At least i got myself some breathing room in terms of kills vs deaths. My new goal, besides the knife kills, is to get my expert spec ops badge, at which point im gonna switch over to medic or assault for a while.

Crap loads of FBG's on tonight. I played fairly well, but there was some ##### that was hacking that was on the other team - trying to kill me. I killed him twice and then he punished me for a TK, and he is on the other team roster. Man, that pissed me off.

Yeah, I noticed the bunny hopping got pretty bad at times.

He was the only FBG on your team but me and 1-2 others were on the other team. Yes, I saw you tank whoring on Karkand . I was getting frustrated since i kept telling my squad to take Factory since then you wouldnt get tanks and thats what was always tipping the score. VOIP is HORRIBLE compared to TS though so i wish you guys would come on my TS,When I started on Dragon Valley, my roomate was on so mad cow can attest to the lag spikes I had at times . Was better once I sneakily kicked my roomate off the internet .

I did pretty good tonight. With assault recently, my K ratio is about 1.5:1 or so. I play Medic on SF so much though and I wind up with horrible K overall.

Edit: Seemed like i killed pork on foot and gator in the tank so much I was afraid they would think i was hacking

Yeah, that helicopter flight was great where you went upside down and we crashed in the river and died. Sweet.

On one of the Karkands last night, I was MEC and there were a bunch of USMC's spawning on the squad leader that were swimming across and they eventually got bottled up underneath where that ramp is. I nailed a few multi-kills by noob-tubing them as they swam there like fish to be killed at will.

I killed Pork as he swam across the lake in this way, too.

I really do think the new vid card is helping alot. My long range shooting has improved alot and im getting the jump on guys in alot more of my close battles. Of course, the fact that im playing alot more has alot to do with it too.

Any guess on when we are gonna do our big FBG battlefield bash?

Explosives badge was one of the badges that was hardest for me to get. I refused to use the suicide buggy method.I got the badge as USA on Karkand. Got onto the building by the hotel flag point and dropped C4 into the alley. Kabloom, three kills - rinse, repeat.

Got mine by teaming up with a good choppa pilot that played supply. Cruised around on Mashtuur in the MEC chopper dropping C4 on enemy's heads. BOOOM! 27 kills in one round. Great fun. If you do it right you can take out a BH in mid air.

Funny you mention the video card. I have a good card, not the best, but good. The game supports 1280 x 960 resolution which is what I use. HOWEVER, onitor is a 19" widescreen with 1440 x 900 native resolution. I wonder if this is causing some stretching to go on which is making it ridiculous for me to hit anything.I know accuracy is tough, but I opened up on a guy in a hallway with the .50 from top of a tank and I missed him. I must have put 20 rounds down the hallway and missed. Likewise, I emptied a MEC shottie magazine at a guy from point blank and missed. Wondering if there's some problems with my setup affecting my close aim?

On the other hand, from LONG range, with my new medic unlock I can hit very well.

Edit: Oh I have kids and no plans this weekend, so after BSG I'm going in for a few hours.

your account ID should prepopulate, find FBG free for all in the clan drop down box (alpha order), and then enter password "ncstategirl".

Was harder to find than I thought because there is not a "Join Clan" button, you have to click on the "Tracker CP" link.

I need to test my ingame VOIP. I think CNUTZ got me set up on the frag haus TS server, and it worked well. I've got my mic working again so I'll break it out if we are going to be playing.

I had never really used the ingame VON until last time, and it worked pretty well. My problem with this is that my computer room is very close to our youngest daughter's room (20 months), and so it is a little harder for me to use the mic. However, they are gone in 2 weeks and then the fest is on!

How about we plan on Friday, Feb 24 at 8-9 PM EST to get this mutha started? Since I will have no family, I can come home from work, grab some dinner and get going. That way, even the East coasties can get 4 hours in. Sound fair?

I don't think you get anything special, but to get some of the medals, you have to satisfy the badge requirements. It will be a while for me on the knife I think.
