I had never really used the ingame VON until last time, and it worked pretty well.  My problem with this is that my computer room is very close to our youngest daughter's room (20 months), and so it is a little harder for me to use the mic.  However, they are gone in 2 weeks and then the fest is on!

How about we plan on Friday, Feb 24 at 8-9 PM EST to get this mutha started?  Since I will have no family, I can come home from work, grab some dinner and get going.  That way, even the East coasties can get 4 hours in.  Sound fair?

Works for me except I will take a break when Battlestar Gallactica is on to watch it. I might be able to obtain it by "other"means so that may not even be a issue. If we do this we also need to decide if we are going to use in game VON or TS. If we decide on TS everyone should try to get it installed and tested before game day to avoid gaming delays.

When I'm shooting at someone from medium range or so, and I see the little yellow x's pop up around the target, do those mean hits?

I then procede to die. it really sucks

Could be packet loss.

im on my school's network. I have no controll over network settings. My school is very protective of its network(have to have anti-virus running to log onto network, all file sharing programs blocked)

We had a virus outbreak about 2 years ago, so now pretty much nothing goes. Im lucky i can even get on, as some online stuff is almost completly blocked.

How do guys figure out what servers to pick? I try to look for servers playing on "overcrowded" maps. Like 40 on a 32 player map. I generally stick to Karkand. Anytime I try an air map I almost always spawn in the middle of a base raping. I try in vain 3 or 4 times to escape to safety and then the game ends with a 0-4 frag rate.

for those that are new and have the SF expansion, i HIGHLY suugest unlocking the f2000 (assault unlock) That gun is so good at close range its scary. 1 quick burst to the torso will drop anything without body armor. The thing has some serious stopping power.

Im not good with the grenade launcher, but for those who are, this thing is a dream weapon. If you put in single shot and have some skill, you can take out guys at medium range too. All in all a great weapon. Really making me ponder whether Assault or medic will be my main class after i get my expert spec ops badge

If there are any FBG's on, I will usually join that one. If not, I just choose a map that I want to play. However, I also look at the scores before I join. If 1 team is just giving a royal ### kicking to the other, I try to avoid it just because you might end up on the kickee team instead of the kicker, and that is absolutely no fun.

one thing that is kinda strange latley is how much ive been losing. Im getting good scores, but my team has lost a ton. About a week ago i was even with Wins and losses, now im 22 below .500 :X

Well, I have a question about that. I used my Lcpl unlock to get the L85. I am about to get my Cpl unlock tonight. I was going to unlock the G36C (the medic version). Now, is the G36C only available on Special Forces servers? I'm just not sure about what to unlock....

thats your response to pretty much everything i type? isnt it? id agree that im a little more stats crazy lately.(been going hard after gold/silver/bronze stars) I've even resorted to driving a HUMVEE or Vodnik around and using the 50 cal on top to mow down groups on infantry at times. Not something im proud of, but ive had it done to me hundreds of times, so i dont feel too bad.

I still havent ventured into the stat whoring world of medics or extensive tank driving, although i may soon to make the push to first sargent.

One quick question.. is it true that in order to get the elite badges, you have to get the 40 kills in a round AFTER you get the required hours? That would really suck, as ive had several 40+ kill rounds so far. Would stink to have to do it again.

if you unlock a gun, you can use it in regular Bf2, regardless of whether it came with SF or not. The medic unlock is a good gun too. Doesnt have the stopping power of its Spec ops cousin, but ts deadly accurate at mid-long range.

When i go to the Caln page I don't see how to join.When, when using Mozilla, I click on a user online server IP and try to join server I get a windows error that says "Bf2 is not a registered protocol". If I use IE I get a "page can not be displayed" with "bf2://72.36.185.20:16567/" (for example) in the address bar.

You know what would be sweet? Using the zipline and grappling hook in regular maps. That would rulzor.

What's wrong with tank whoring? Seriously? If they are in the game,and oyu don't drive them, someone else will. If it's the other team taking your tanks, you're screwed.

Number 1, follow these directions from the previous page. Use the link:

your account ID should prepopulate, find FBG free for all in the clan drop down box (alpha order), and then enter password "ncstategirl".

Was harder to find than I thought because there is not a "Join Clan" button, you have to click on the "Tracker CP" link.

Number 2, you have to download their "launcher" program to have the game automatically launch from the website. Word of warning, I always write down the IP as when I use the launcher, my game locks up half the time.
