Here is the question gents - let's say I can get to 8000 by this Friday. Gets me rank. I then have a whole week without the family. What are the odds I could make a major move and get to 20K by the time they come home? When my family leaves, I basically come home from work and do not much of anything. I would have to average, what? 1700+ points per day? I could get some serious

I've been out here this morning and afternoon, I'll check to see where you are. if you wanna risk getting your stats wiped go ahead. That would really suck. Ive seen people do it, and reported them. Back to private you go sonWe need to form FBG teams of 2 enemies, 2 good guys, all of us medics. We take turns killing and reviving over and over again.We could each have like 500 points at the end of a match.

Gotta say I'm not doing all the great so far with the new patch. The sniper s*** is getting on my nerves, and there seems to be some kind of bug with the shock paddles.... oh well. The thing i like though now is complete ownage using support, man i love using that SF support unlock. But I'm disappointed in my results, I used to be in the high 70s at least every match, now its tough to get into the 60s

I figured out what happened. Somehow when BF2 crashed my system, it reset all controls to NOTHING. I DL'd the complete 1.2 patch installed it, and on a whim looked at the control settings and they were completely blank. I set them to default, customized them, and I was in bi'ness.

LOL. I'm going to the gym, then I might play some Empire at War, then I'm going in. Since my Frag Rate has gone in the tubes the last few days, I might just go ahead and go to the Pistol Badge and/or Knife Badge.

The pistol and knife were not as hard as you might think. I got the pistol on the first try and the knife on the second.

ok, i just played basically a full round of medic on karkand(was going for meritorious service) I had slide show lag for 50% of the round and still managed to get rack up 40 Tps. The round was a little long since the server was not filled, but it was still absurdly easy to rack up points. I can see why the big point whores are all medics. The points just fall in your lap.
This will definetly be my next class after i get The Elite spec ops badge. Easy way to skyrocket through the ranks. Add in the fact that the SF unlock gun is awesome and i can see why everyone plays medic.

I rarely get enough kills in a round though....
120 Rounds only 532 kills.

I have somewhat of a "dumb" question for you guys -- Everyone has been talking alot about K/D ratio - mine is 1.31 now, what is considered an 'average/good/really good' ratio?
Same thing with accuracy, Is 22-23% "normal"? I don't believe I've seen much higher, so i'm not sure.

I think the frag rate has got to have something to do with the kit you like to play most often. I find it hard to imagine that a medic does not die more often than a fighter pilot does. They also probably don't get as many kills. So their frag rate would probably be quite a bit lower.In general though, I would imagine anything over 1:1 would be decent.

the only thing i use my internet connection for is regular surfing,poker, AIM and battlefield. No bittorrents, no filesharing, nothing. We have thousands of computers connected to our network. How the heck is playing an online game using excessive bandwidth? I swear, my school is so anal its insane.

I was a "MUD" addict for awhile in college and got a similar letter. Maybe BF2 uses multiple sockets during game play. You should ask Chloe or Edgar to open up some sockets for you.
Is getting another ISP out of the question?

From what I've been reading on the BF2 technical help boards is that the in game VOIP takes a fair amount of bandwidth. Some of the game servers even use a different server to handle the VOIP traffic. So your ISP thinks you have multiple data streams going when you are playing BF2 on a server with VOIP enabled.Make sure you close AIM before playing BF2 and only play on servers that don't have VOIP enabled. :(

i do close AIM and all other programs while playing Bf2. Getting another ISP is not possible, as i live in campus housing. Their ridiculously over protected network is my only option. Good point about the VOIP. I dont use it, but i do play on servers that do.
I think im just gonna ignore this, as they cant kick me off for playing a game, and cant prove i use it for anything else.
As for our Bf2 extravaganza. Id definetly prefer friday, as our senior spring kickoff party is saturday night.

If done correctly it is extremely effective. My stupid team mates would spawn then run to try cap another flag and wouldn't help defend the spawn point under attack
Needless to say, our team lost the round by a big margin

I hear ya... I used to be a pretty solid gunner, I was TV'ing and hitting i'd say like at least 75% of the time. Now i just suckI was running a Wake game a little last night and I had just a horrific gunner. I eventually gave up on chopper and went with tanks.
Need more practice i suppose. I will say though, a good chopper PILOT seems to be a rarity anymore.

I've gotten pretty good at flying. I boot up a standalone server usually 1x day for abouyt 20 minutes and play 64 player maps and fly alone. Sure it's not combat, but I've simulated flying under combat conditions. I also use it to learn the maps a little better.I hear ya...
