"It was a joke!"If he’s not going to at least discuss what went down he deserves an IP ban imo.

Not quite. We had Mike who ran the Phenoms fantasy football website. Effectively stole several hundred thousand that should have been held in league escrow for payouts. Instead he supposedly 'invested' over $300k in expenses for his website including a major software upgrade and then amazingly has little money left to pay league winners and had to file bankruptcy. Impacted several leagues here. This may be the worst welshing incident the FFA has ever seen.
I had forgotten all about that. I think I spent a straight hour reading through that thread. Not quite. We had Mike who ran the Phenoms fantasy football website. He went through bankruptcy. Never heard if any charges ever came about.I had forgotten all about that. I think I spent a straight hour reading through that thread.
Was it ever resolved? Didn't someone file a fraud claim with the Secretary of state from the state he was based in?
What about restitution for anyone? I assume the answer is no.He went through bankruptcy. Never heard if any charges ever came about.
There is no restitution in bankruptcy. There would have to had to have civil actions but with him in bankruptcy it was a waste of time to pursue. What about restitution for anyone? I assume the answer is no.
I seem to recall a few people had several leagues with him, and they were out a couple thousand dollars.
I wonder how "it was a joke mortgage" went over in bankruptcy court? He went through bankruptcy. Never heard if any charges ever came about.
IMO, it really is the gold standard for threads in the FFA. So many twists and turns. It had some great internet sleuthing, ebay auctions, fowl references, and more totally unrelated things. This thread made me join Twitch just to see the infamous @hagmania fundraiser. To this day, I haven’t logged into twitch again, but I still have the app on my phone and it reminds me of this thread every time i see it.I had forgotten how bizarre this thread was. It really did have a little bit of everything.
Oh, sure, throw out that Napoleonic Code crap to confuse the rest of us.It appears I may simply have been rage drinking next to the sculpture of Joan D'Arc when I wrote these. All I can make out is "nous avons un pet de travers en pleine rue."
probablyYou guys are just paranoid. Nobody walks away from that body of work for a few bucks. Probably just out of office or something.
James Comey owns stock in Bovada, BTW.

And the best part of the whole thing is the ongoing @Sinn Fein schtick!
CSTUHe really did not think through his re-emergence well. It was all a joke after 3 years was weak. These would all have been better:
I’ve been working 24/7/365 on the Epstein Case.
I’m in witness protection for things I know about Putin.
I was a Kavanaugh drinking buddy in prep school. I made millions to lay low.
I’ve been in a mental institution since having a breakdown on 11/9/16. I’ve had no access to the outside world.
I left the US due to Trump’s victory and now live in a cabin above the arctic circle. I just popped on my parents computer because I was back in the country for Thanksgiving.
I spent your winnings funding my Antifa cell.
One of you guys that say are owed money is a hacker and crashed all my computer accounts out of spite a few days after the election.
I was abducted by aliens.
You're missing out on an all-timer then.I never saw this thread and read thru the first two pages and the first couple pages post election.
This makes sense to me, too. Decided to test the waters, instantly found out the FFA does not forget, dropped a couple of trolling posts and we won't hear from him again.Really curious as to why he popped back in as well.
I'm not buying the wrong device accidental login theory.
My suspicion is that the conversations on Slick Deals, Amazon Reviews, and Yahoo comments section were starting to fall flat. With the election less than 12 months away combined with his obsession about Trump, he wanted to throw a feeler out there, see if he could slowly slide back in after 3 years. The environment is perfect for a Trump hater and he wants back in for the election cycle. When that thought process was instantly debunked, he turned and left. Until he explains otherwise, I stick with my theory. I also suspect he will be gone again, although I hope not as I would love an explanation.
It's Thanksgiving week. My guess is he went to a relatives house for the holiday and fired up the forums, not realizing that he had saved his login information when he posted.Really curious as to why he popped back in as well.

Perfect timing right before the holidays, which are usually quite uneventful here. We've been pulled from the depths of the PSF!!! It's a Thanksgiving miracle!
igeon and stuffing:
cstu is playing some 4D chess here.I seriously don't get why he couldn't just come in as an alias. People troll the PSF constantly with new alias, it would have blended right in after all this time.
The fact that he came in hot with his regular IP addy is beyond strange.
I gave you the sad face for no other reason than to give you one of each kinda like for this.I usually ditch a place for 4 years after "joke bets"....
Post your quoted message to him in the SlickDeals threads that he replies to (or directly via PM there).@cstu cannot receive PMs for whatever reason. can a mod @Maurile Tremblay or someone get this message to him through his email address or some other means?
"hey, just explain what happened and apologize, and my debt is forgiven or you can donate it to charity. i assume you'll opt for the former, which is fine. stop saying it was a joke bet, you know that's not true."
thanks. I assume he has seen it, but i want to make certain. we can put this whole thing to bed with a few lines of sincere contrition. everyone makes mistakes. few spend years hiding from them and then aggressively denying them, but I can look past that! let's get cstu back in time for the 2020 election imo.
Literally the one thing that got me through that dark time, good buddy. This is fascinating. I must have missed this during my hiatus.![]()
I noticed. And it's appreciated.matttyl said:I gave you the sad face for no other reason than to give you one of each kinda like for this.

I was owed around 8k from that d o u c h e, I still have the paper work somewhere. Quite a few of us here were taken and no one got anything.Encyclopedia Brown said:What about restitution for anyone? I assume the answer is no.

Google now keeps passwords across software/hardwareI'm not believing this is possible. While I can't see on my browser how long it takes before a FBG login cookie expires, I doubt any computer or browser would have gone 3 years without an OS or software upgrade or app reinstall that would have preserved a cookie that long. My computer forgets logins every few months it seems.

Well it was partially. Tim's League was in the FFA and good ole Mike volunteered to run the league on his website, which ultimately resulted in a loss of $1600 to the league winners that year.while true, that wasn't in the FFA
How the lady birds treating you these days?cstu said:Do you even remember the bet? It was a joke.
Yes, but I'm shutting down betting to limit my exposure.
Let's see a quote about limiting your exposure and a post consolidating the bets for tracking purpose. Yeah looks like joke bets to me.Wagers accepted at 7/1 odds that Trump wins:
irishidiot $50
Peyton Marino - $100
fantasycurse42 - $100
hey rude - can you ensure my message makes it to our boy cstu?while true, that wasn't in the FFA
Dunno. Don't really care but I think it's plausibleDid they 3 years ago when he last logged in?

Well the fact that he did stiff fantasycurse42 is pretty funny.Let's see a quote about limiting your exposure and a post consolidating the bets for tracking purpose. Yeah looks like joke bets to me.![]()
