Not defending cstu.. but when making political bets via semi anonymous fantasy football message boards, the real possibility of not "collecting" should have been considered beforehand.

Betting on message boards is not analogous to real world business and credit collection.
I'd assert the real possibility of someone looking for you personally should have also been considered by anyone making bets with no intention of paying them.

It's not analogous in that you can't get an attorney to go collect legally.  But when you owe someone money and skip out on them, you probably need to be looking over your shoulder or at the very least expecting some kind of retribution or repercussions.

I agree, and again not defending cstu.  Just saying, any bet I would ever make on an internet message board would be made within the context that it is a bet made on an internet message board.

I would pay.  I wouldn't assume the other person I've never met beyond a message board alias would do the same.

Even better than the twitter account is who is following the twitter account....

ETA - pretty sure thats our boy - joined in 2014, all about Hillary over Trump....

Yes, but why would anyone he owes money to worry about that or affecting him in another way?  When it comes to money, if you want to get paid when someone's initial intent is to not pay, you have to crank up the heat to change their motivation to needing to pay to avoid work/personal issues.  I know whenever we have issues with people owing we bring any pressure to bear on them we can.  If that makes me hard or unfeeling I guess I can live with that as long as I get paid.  I've tracked people to their work and sent a deputy sheriff there to take statements, etc.  When it becomes clear to you that someone's intent is to not pay you a debt they owe, you simply aren't going to change that intent by sitting back.
IMO an actual business debt and your livelihood are an entirely different story than a couple hundred bucks from a FF league or from an online bet on a Presidential election. I understand people seeing it the other way, but again, the people going nuts in here aren't even the people that he owes money for the most part. Experience has shown us what can happen when the innernets lynch mob gets fired up around here. I've said my piece, do what you guys will.
