Can you guys tell if there is any lag? What kind of connections are you all playing on?

On a serious note, can you guys help here (esp. Schmegma)...On my lunch break tonight, I went to GameStop and picked up a 360 pro and GOW. Should I wait til tomorrow to go to BB and get the same thing plus the added wireless controller? Thoughts?Also, where did you get the ad from?Help :confused: :cry: -fe

Circuit City adYou'll probably need the print ad, which you can pick up at any Circuit City store.

What you do depends on if you've opened it yet and what the return policy is at the store where you bought it.

 
I'd hook up and come get some curb-stompage tonight.

No matter what you do at this point, there will always be a better deal, plus you have to deal with the hassle of exchanging everything.

At some point, your time becomes money.

 
My wife's planted in front of the TV watching her Tivo stuff. I understand Dentist's position on marriage more and more every day!

You guys know any good deals other than Ebay to get cheap plug and play kits?

I anticipate buring out my batteries once I get my 360, GoW, and NBA2k7 tomorrow.

BTW ... you can heal each other, instead of standing there on either side watching guys bleed.

This game absolutely ####ed my skull. I've been playing it at a friend's house the past couple days and I'm buying a 360 tomorrow just so that I can play this game on my own terms. I am so gay for GoW that it hurts (even the acronym has replaced God of War's original abbreviation, and I'm a huge fan of that game as well).

So my question is this: should I go for something along the lines of a barebones $299 used 360, or is a new $499 360 deal with game a lot better? What are the advantages/disadvantages of getting the $299 version, and what else do I need aside from the actual system/AV cables/controller (i.e. hard drives, memory cards, etc.)? Can someone give me a rundown?

Whatever you do, dont get the bare bones package. Go with the $499 package or the base $399 package that comes with a wireless controler and headset.
 
OK. I just woke up. We played until 1:00 ish last night. I actually had dreams of this damn game last night. I haven't had that much fun in a videogame since Goldeneye back on the N64. As for the echo on the mics, I think it when someone's not properly connected to the controller or their connector is dirty. Usually when the offender with the bad mic leaves, everyone else's mic is ok.

I LOVE the sniper rifle. LOVE IT.

Also if you hold down the left button (not the trigger, but the button above it) you can tell where your teammates are. Very helpful when trying to find them to revive them.

My favorite maps so far are: Mansion, Warzone, Rooftops, & Canals.

If you try to go in guns blazing, you will get :own3d: quickly.

I might want to try some of the single player co-op today if anyone's around during the day. I'm off from work for 2 days.

The funniest thing is that I was playing while sitting next to my wife and niece. My wife says, "THat is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen!" My niece says, "I know...ain't it cool!"

THIS GAME ROCKS. Period.

Ever since my wife got pregnant, we've been trying to save money any which way we can. We cancelled our cable internet and we now use DSL. I hosted and there wasn't one ounce of lag whatsoever. The game runs like butter. I'm still trying to find bad things to say about the game and I cannot find one thing.

I want to mix in some co-op action with you guys tonight. I'll be on from around 9pm to... whenever the game ends.

I've got only one or two: 1. maximum of 4 v. 4 in multiplayer. 8 v. 8 really could change things (obviously would require bigger maps) -- that's the size of the typical matches in the Half Life PC games (TFC, Counterstrike, etc).2. Like TFC, the half-life PC game, it would be kinda neat to have different classes, each with different weapons, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Adds a new element to the game when there are four or 8 different options. Again, this is just a comparison to TFC, which is, IMO, the best online first person multiplayer shooter ever.This game is still pretty effing cool though.
 
I have never played on xbox live before. How badly is my ### going to be kicked?

BTW, I got the game last night and it's awesome. Just waiting for the network adaptor.

you'll be alright, there are a few great players, but im not one of them and i had fun.
