**OFFICIAL** Giants cheated thread (1 Viewer)

Having a great season
Well, since we know that in the coming days or weeks that there will be the inevitable backlash of cheating accusations from Pats fans, let's keep it all in one place, shall we? Of course we all know that there is no way that the invincible Patriots could have lost the Super Bowl otherwise. So what say we keep all of the bitterness contained in one place? Over/under on cheating allegations is currently at 3 days.

I'll take the under!

Ah...so comes the "we're the victim" liberal attitude of Massachusetts. You lost, even though YOU were probably cheating. Deal with it.

The refs gave that game away. Also the Brady called a TO at :21 and they let it run all the way down to :19...rigged. The NFL got their David and Goliath story.

Congrats!!!

I wanna know, why the clock never ran at the 1:28 min mark of the 4th quarter?
On that note, was it me, or did the clock not move in several instances throughout the game, particularly the first half?
TV clock was off for a large chunk of the game. If you look at the NYG field goal at 5:01 in the 1st Q, TV clock shows 6:12, it was stuck there for 4 or 5 straight plays, even though the field clock is visible in the shots.I believe tho, on the play in question at the 1:28 mark, the clock was stopped at 1:22 following the 4th & 1 Jacobs run/fall forward play. The refs stopped the clock, possibly(?) because of the potential change-of-possession. I don't know the exact rule on 4th down, but the refs hadn't yet signaled 1st down, they were still looking toward the sticks and the hash to see if it was a first. Jacobs hit the ground at 1:28, ending the play, but the clock didn't stop until 1:22. If the Pats had made a stop, they should have gotten the ball with 1:28 left. Once the ref signaled a first down, the clock was reset to 1:28 and started immediately. The TV display clock, however, didn't start. Manning ran forward 5 yards and was brought down by Adalius Thomas, the ball came loose but Manning recoverd, the Giants used a time out and the TV clock suddenly jumped to 1:14.The TV clock was wrong, but I don't see shenanigans on the actual game clock.

Jeez, the only thing worse than some smug Pats fans is Pats haters piling on. I'd much rather the Pats won than have to read some of the salt rubbing going on these boards. I'll be back in a week or two.

See ya then. Come on though really did you think that either way it would be any different?

Who said the Giants cheated?

Who said the refs screwed them?

The Giants played a better game and made the plays when they had to. The Patriots didn't.

It's as simple as that.

That extra two seconds would have meant Belichick left the field with 3 seconds left, instead of 1, after blowing their 4th down play.

Toomer had a great stiff arm in that long pass reception................ the fact that it was way before he caught the ball is a non-factor.

Make it three or twelve. Seriously, no one will miss you. After putting up with 6 months of trash talking Patriot fans, you somehow can't stand people saying something against them now? Grow some bark.

Football != Politics :mellow:EDIT: NY is far more liberal than MA...so I suppose you were cheering for the Pats?

That was without a doubt offensive pass interference. DJax gotcalled for a lot less in the Seahawks loss to the Steelers two years ago. However, three plays later the Pats intercepted the bobble by Smith so I'm thinking the impact on the game was nill.I also think that without that particular stiff arm play Randy Moss wouldn't have lasted this long in the NFL because the push off is his bread and butter.

About the same as to what Moss does consistently and on about half of his TD passes throughout the season.

:lmao: Nutshell, your all time, all pro line got destroyed causing Tom Terrific into sacks and hurries and more bad passes than he's thrown in a while.

Then on the final drive when your defense finally started getting some good pressure our qb made the plays that win big games.

Not a Pats or Giants fan, but I gotta weigh in with this one. Trying to remember exactly when I saw it, but it was probably in the second quarter. Right as Fox was going to a commercial they showed the Giants sideline for a few seconds.

There on the sidelines was Manning, and two of their coaches (not Coughlin). They were staring hard at something that we couldn't see because there appeared to be a book or something between the camera and what they were looking at. I know teams are always looking at pictures of plays, formations, etc. coming up with strategies.

TO ME it seemed like these guys were staring at something that didn't seem like it was just a picture. They just looked at it too long. I rewound it and looked three times, and it just didn't seem like they were acting like somebody that was looking at a picture of something. TO ME I thought it looked like they were looking at a video recording of a play.

Anybody else remember this?

ETA to add this :goodposting: before somebody else does.

I'm just happy in losing the Pats are still the most talked about team. Speaks volumes of the franchise. As for cheating, it was the Pats who cheated themselves. Twice the D could have picked off Manning on the last drive. They got the surge, but not the tackle on the 4th down play. Their fault, not the Giants. But, given the extra plays, the Giants made the plays.

Obvious hands to the face/helmet by two Giants while sacking Brady. Not only was the penalty not called (and it was a penalty) but also gave Brady a concussion while reinjuring his high ankle sprain because of their cheapshot.
