I think that guy was a plant, like the ex-marine or whatever he was from last season that went off on Chef early in the season with his "I aint no bit##" schtick.

Do they only cast people who smoke to be on this show? It's amazing how every year it seems like 90-95% of the contestants smoke.

Many people who work in Restaurants and bars smoke. That's why the legislation for no smoking in bars based on "health issues for employees" is BS.

I like this show and all, but when it comes to checking out the ladies, a dirt catalog has more sex appeal than this show.

Going to post the same thing. It's got to be a chef thing. Hardly anybody smokes in L.A. and every person on this show does it. Plus, it ruins your ability to taste.

Holli is the best on the show, by far, with the exception of the sous chef. I agree, a 6 nonetheless. I think the next weeks preview was been "the episode you can't miss" every week so far. I'm still mildly entertained.

Maybe 20 years ago people who worked in restaurants mostly smoked but nowadays it's much less. Very few of these contestants are actually from LA. Just seems like every season pretty much all of them smoke. Maybe they're encouraged to smoke? Gets them sitting around talking, gets their brains going or something? Autumn doesn't look like a smoker to me and they showed her taking a little drag. Maybe some fake it? It really is odd.

i used to watch this show religiously, along with any other gordon ramsey product. But i tuned in to all of 60 seconds of this show the other night and caught this: The women won and went to the beach as a reward. Gordon greets them and says "i have one more challenge for you", then after a not so dramatic pause, "to a game of soccer" (or something, i couldnt really tell because i was already turning the the tv off)
Ramsey says he has a challenge and then the cheesy music starts, some quick camera cuts to worried faces, a couple voice overs from stressed out contestants, and then the finisher from Gordon. How pathetically over produced can you get.
I'm just really disappointed that this has turned into yet another horribly produced American show. When will they realize that they cant force the same storyline and drama into every single episode? Know whats interesting? Real reactions and real life episodes. Not a show edited to conform to their tired, canned, repetitive product.

Man they pick some ugly people for this show. Holli, I would. Autumn, hots0r. Fran says she's 44 and she looks 55. That Siobahn chick is nice but she has a waffle iron face and the other white chick's eyes are way too close together. Milka has the Kid n Play thing going... 
I feel a little sorry for Salvatore who has to be from Napoli given his reading and writing skills, but I'm rooting for him and the greasy haired guy who never does anything wrong. Those two and the non-ugly chicks.

I've talked to Chef Rock (season 3 winner) and he said that Ramsey is pretty much like he is on TV. Said that the production of the show makes him seem a "little" worse than he really is.

Gordon is a totally different person his BBC shows. Watch F-word. Very mellow and easy going.

I agree after last night's episode(s). I previously was behind Benjamin, but ever since he started opening his mouth, his cooking has suffered. Is he trying to following exactly in Scott's footsteps?

I can't watch this show anymore, but I used to every week. I don't think it's changed much. Just my tastes in reality shows. It needs to evolve, and it won't.

Dude got really cocky after joining the red team. Granted they don't have great talent, but he's not Chef Ramsey all of a sudden. Suprised when he was ripping Shioban about her sandwich, Ramsey loved it, yet he continued to crush her after the fact. Seems like his ego took off too fast. I can't believe Fran is still there, she's easily the worst on the show. What shocks me is the lack of consistancy over and over from every cook on the show. Fran gets praised for a great risotto then ten minutes later serves a bowl of mush. Same with the meat dishes, not sure how "professional" cooks can cut and serve pink chicken or undercooked duck.
