I too am pro-train wreck but this feels too manufactured and fake to me. That and they always do the same contest, shtick, etc.

I can understand that.

I will admit, though, that I'm a fan of any reality conflict, even if said conflict appears to be manufactured. Not sure why, but I'm a huge fan of other people's drama.

That seems high.

I'm no chef by any means, but if I knew I was going on this show, I'd spend the 4 weeks leading up to getting there practicing cooking risotto and scallops. Seems like a no-brainer.

 
And now he has the ability to taunt these new chefs with "We had children in here last season and they could do this ____ dish better than you!!"

Sure, but all that practice would still be kinda useless. They cook differently in different kitchens. It takes a lot of experience to get them right, expecting someone to nail it out of the gate on an unfamiliar stovetop is unreasonable.

I liked the old guy checking out the other dude's lamb plate and saying "nice rack", then they cut to a shot where you could see down one of the chick's shirts as she was jigglin' around trying to slice something.

I've watched the show off and on for a few years now, but I just can't do it anymore. I think Gordon is awesome, but I just don't have it in me anymore.

 
Was so glad thy got rid of unstable emotional cry baby girl...and the way she begged Ramsay to let her stay...ugh.

 
So.. the show is kind of going through the motions this season. The contestants don't fight with each other very much.

After watching, do you ever think back to last week's teaser at the end of the show? This week a chef was supposed to cook something so disgusting, so vile, that someone almost dies!!! Yeah, didn't really see that happen.

It'll be Scott vs Joy in the final IMO

Well I guess I missed it but to be honest I just can't do it anymore. I want to beat the first idiot who can't cook risotto to death at this point. And really it has gotten so repetitive. I like Gordon but I just couldn't do it again.

Same here, I usually DVR and power through some episodes a few at a time. I can't say I really hate it, it just same old same old at this point, I still enjoy ramsey yelling at people.

 
Will watch again like I do every year, even though it's the same every year.

Going to Gordon Ramsey Steak in Vegas on Sat! Definitely getting the Wellington. Staying the #### away from the scallops. They're probably RAW

 
But do they not get that they need to throw in some eye candy to keep the show interesting to the male viewer?

My wife and I watched every season since day one, but we lost interest in the last two because it was the same thing over and over and over. It just is so predictable. I would love to see Ramsay just toss like 4 people in a vote off--but I have never seen it happen. The show needs to be shorter and this would make it more edgy--just knowing at any moment 4-5 of you could be gone in a moments notice.

We will give it another try tonight and see if anyone is interesting.
