I was thinking that that's the character that bites it as well. Not factual, but well educated guess as to who dies next week.
A couple of thoughts on this:1) We have no idea about it when she whispered to Isaac as we did not hear her.I wonder why in last night's episode, when Eden uses her power, we hear a deeper voice. This never happened in the earlier episodes.
I guess all it takes to nullify her power is to stick your fingers in your ears or tape her mouth shut.![]()
Don't forget Mohinder's father. He's obviously killed some other people as well since the FBI has a history about him even before the Jackie and Charlie murders. So who has Sylar killed?1. Brian Davis - telekinetic guy2. That girls parents3. Jackie the cheerleader4. Charlie, the waitressIs there someone I'm missing? So basically, he has memory power, telekinetic powers and whatever that girls parents had, if any.

Remember the computer screen with I think 4 or 5 deceased behind their names. Her background is in the graphic novel on NBCs site. Some information on Eden's character that I found on the wikipedia page that I didn't think was made known to viewers watching the show, but I could be wrong. The girl who would become Eden McCain was born and raised in a small town 240 miles to the east of Las Vegas. Her father frequently argued with her stepmother and left them when she was young. When her stepmother called her worthless, she responded with the words "I wish you'd just die!" Her powers suddenly activated, causing her stepmother's heart to instantly stop beating. She then burned down her house, commanded a passerby to take her west, and later adopted the name Eden.
Presently, Eden is an associate of Mr. Bennet, assisting him to gather information on some of the other characters. She initially claimed to be a former neighbor of the late Chandra Suresh in order to befriend his son, Mohinder, when he visited New York to attend to his father's affairs and retrieve his ashes. When Mohinder decidesd to return to India, she made romantic gestures to get him to stay, or at least to quickly return.
After Mohinder left, Eden relayed to Mr. Bennet the information she learned from Mohinder about Peter, and his claims about Isaac and Hiro. Mr. Bennet then ordered Eden to bring Isaac in. After going to his apartment and introducing herself as a fan of his artwork, she brought Isaac to a secret area in Bennet's workplace in Odessa, Texas. Eden then used her power to persuade Isaac to use heroin, which he had just given up, to paint an prophetic image of Sylar killing Claire for Mr. Bennet, and later, to detain Sylar long enough for the Haitian to capture him.*** SPOILER ALERT! My general thoughts from last night:Last night was the first time it showed her talking from another characters point of view. Maybe that is the way it sounds to the person she is trying to control, but to everyone else she sounds normal.A couple of thoughts on this:1) We have no idea about it when she whispered to Isaac as we did not hear her.I wonder why in last night's episode, when Eden uses her power, we hear a deeper voice. 2) It might have to do with the "suggestiveness" of the person she is talking to. If she only has to say it once in her "normal" voice, why bother. But with both Matt and her attempt at HRG she said it a 2nd time and that is when the voice kicked in.
All I know is that Eden looked very nice with long hair. Some information on Eden's character that I found on the wikipedia page that I didn't think was made known to viewers watching the show, but I could be wrong. Anyhow, I'm including this info in spoiler form.

I think it's pretty obvious it was him. Who else would have done it?The problem with that thought is that Hiro witnessed the destruction of NY. If the Heroes can't change that, it invalidates quite a bit of the show.I don't think you can assume that she did recognize Hiro when he showed up in the diner. It seemed to me that Hiro couldn't exist in the same place at the same time. He warped away to the rooftop in Japan unexpectedly, which most likely coincided with the time when he first arrived at the diner. Then he couldn't warp back to the diner to save Charlie and was forced instead to warp to a nearby town and take a bus to get to Ando. I got the impression that they were implying that if Hiro witnesses something happening then it can't be undone. Of course since we're dealing with time travel here I'm sure their are a ton of holes in that theory. So did Hiro instruct her not to recognize him, or did she think that up herself? Or because she knows she is going to die (she assumes from the blood clot) she decides to pretend not to know him so she can spare him the pain.If the book was his he would recognize it when he saw it later (er...earlier...damn time travel)
One thing that I wondered about was that she says he is cute when his cheeks wobble when he concentrates. I didn't see him do any concentrating around her. The main time you see that is when he uses his powers. Does she see him use his powers in the past?
Maybe he meets her in the past, and proves his power to her. Gives her the book, teaches her "You are sweet" but tells her to not mess with the timeline too much and act like she doesn't know him. I'm sure he leaves out her de-braining.
The little girl Molly. We have seen two instances of freezing (the dad in the kitchen, and the cop from the NBC gallery). Both scenes had Sylar and Molly.Likely Sylar, but not conclusive at this point.Although likely, we cant yet conclude that Sylar did the freezing.Don't forget he froze the little girls dad. I think it's pretty obvious it was him. Who else would have done it?
The girl was being targeted for her power, which may be the ability to freeze. But why would she freeze her father and a cop? The police/FBI have radioactive guy and the girl in custody. Hope we see more of them. The little girl Molly. We have seen two instances of freezing (the dad in the kitchen, and the cop from the NBC gallery). The Eden thing, I think is getting way over-analyzed. We've never seen her directly use her "power of persuasion," it was only implied. The voice is her using her power, as opposed to just talking. She never used her power on Mohinder, hence why he left, why she got yelled at by HRG and why we never saw her talk like that.I agree with the Charlie/Hiro theory. I think that Charlie did remember Hiro when they "first" meet. But since he suddenly disappeared when she was going to kiss him and was gone, she finally realized he was telling the truth. She then chose not to tell him about meeting her before, because she knew it would be new to him. This does explain the japanese lanquage book but doesn't explain why everyone in the diner acted like Hiro was a stranger.
Peter has the dream power. He hadn't meet Simone or her father when he first had the dream about Nathan. Rememeber they continually would talk about how empathetic he is and how he was so in tuen with others feelings.
DL doesn't die, you can see him with Nikki and the son in one of the scenes from next week. Or I think it's him.
I think the person who dies is radioactive guy or the haitian guy. Still kills off a "hero" without killing him off.
Because she's 7 and doesn't have control of her powers or understand them yet? Like Nathan flying out of the car last night. The girl was being targeted for her power, which may be the ability to freeze. But why would she freeze her father and a cop? I thought it was 100% clear that she did not use her powers on Mohinder. HRG was pissed at her for not using them. Apparently she's changed a lot for the better in the past 6 months. No idea why. Could be lack of control. Could be trying to protect them. Might not be her at all. I don't think Peter has n+1 as you desribe it. I think they both play on his natural tendency towards empathy. The Eden thing, I think is getting way over-analyzed. Agree.
Agree.
I don't think that the Haitian's power is the ability to "turn people off'. I think his power is the ability to selectively erase memory. When Eden tried to persuade HRG, watch the glances between the Haitian and HRG. Haitian guy nods/gestures in HRG's direction. There's a very brief pause, and HRG seems to "shake off" Eden's suggestion.I think the way that they were able to neutralize Eden's power over HRG is that the Haitian quickly 'erases' the memory of Eden's suggestion. So how did Eden get turned off? Was it the Haitian?
Would also answer him shutting off the telepathy powers and not flight, erases his memory of reading minds as he is reading them.I don't think that the Haitian's power is the ability to "turn people off'. I really hope we don't get clarification as to what Hiro can and can't undo... Going down that road leads to time travel paradoxes and lots of unforseen problems. They're better off to simply leave it as he either changed something or didn't... Vague is good in this case.Worm said:I think that Hiro cannot travel into the past and change it. Isaac painted the future in regards to the Cheerleader. That had nothing to do with Hiro. Doesn't make sense that Future Hiro travelled back to tell Peter to save the Cheerleader if she was going to live anyway.Isaac painted the future in regards to the Cheerleader. That had nothing to do with Hiro. Fits in with the theme that they can change the future but not the past.No.Especially given that his future self traveled back and changed the past, "Save the Cheerleader" implies she died in an alternate timeline.Worm said:I think that Hiro cannot travel into the past and change it. BUT, when he saw destruction of NY, that time that he teleported into (his first successful teleportation) was the future. He then teleported back to present times where he gathered Ando to set off to America to try to stop the destruction. Make sense?Twilight said:The problem with that thought is that Hiro witnessed the destruction of NY.
I really hope we don't get clarification as to what Hiro can and can't undo... Going down that road leads to time travel paradoxes and lots of unforseen problems. They're better off to simply leave it as he either changed something or didn't... Vague is good in this case.
There going to eventually screw this "rule" up if they already haven't.Dont think it has been mentioned or theorized but what if Hiro's time travel is similar to how the Terminator movies are represented? No matter what travels back and forth through time is irrevelavent because the events are still going to take place.Hiro, in this sense, is not really in control of his life or powers. In fact, if his time travel would be similar to this he is like a narrator in a story... knows all, tells all, but changes nothing. Everything he tells people in the past or present or future is what would have gone on anyway.
The Terminator movies were just a bunch of unresolved paradoxes. Not fully true. The main "paradox" stayed intact the whole way through. The fact that there were attempts at change were just life playing itself out. I would not clasify that the event not ever changing is a paradox because it really never changed.Dont think it has been mentioned or theorized but what if Hiro's time travel is similar to how the Terminator movies are represented? I am thinking the same thing about Hiro and how his character will live out his life.Maybe Hiro figures out later that HE can't change the past, but other people can. This is why future Hiro doesn't just go back and try to save Claire himself, he goes back to Peter who he knows will believe him.Doesn't make sense that Future Hiro travelled back to tell Peter to save the Cheerleader if she was going to live anyway.Isaac painted the future in regards to the Cheerleader. The Haitian cancels powers temporarily. Eden couldn't influence HRG with him in the room and Matt couldn't read his thoughts when he saw him in the bar.I don't think that the Haitian's power is the ability to "turn people off'.
He may or may not cancel powers, he definitely erases memories (everyone HRG kidnapped, the QB he emptied out, etc.).The Haitian cancels powers temporarily. Then how else do you explain Matt being able to read everybody else's mind in the bar except his?He may or may not cancel powers, he definitely erases memories (everyone HRG kidnapped, the QB he emptied out, etc.).The Haitian cancels powers temporarily. Just thought of something. Each time we see the Haitian nullify (and/or erase the memory) a hero, it's always been on a hero with mind powers (Eden & Matt). But when him and Bennet tried to corner Nathan, Nathan got away... perhaps because his power is physical. So in theory, he can't stop Claire from healing herself or DL from phasing, but he would be able to make Micah dumb and Charlie forget stuff. He may or may not cancel powers, he definitely erases memories (everyone HRG kidnapped, the QB he emptied out, etc.).

He was erasing thoughts from Matt's mind as Matt was trying to "hear" them. If I remember the scene correctly Matt's mind was totally blank - he wasnt hearing anyone's thoughts at the bar, including the Haitian. Then how else do you explain Matt being able to read everybody else's mind in the bar except his?He may or may not cancel powers, he definitely erases memories (everyone HRG kidnapped, the QB he emptied out, etc.).The Haitian cancels powers temporarily. Possibly he just immediately erased Matt's memory of having read his mind.....I haven't ruled out that he has cancelling powers, they just haven't definitively showed it. In fact he let Nathan fly away, and had to sneak up on Sylar rather than confront him directly. Then how else do you explain Matt being able to read everybody else's mind in the bar except his?He may or may not cancel powers, he definitely erases memories (everyone HRG kidnapped, the QB he emptied out, etc.).The Haitian cancels powers temporarily. If true it seems like Eden could control the Haitian if she wanted to. She could "persuade him" not to erase her suggestions.Possibly he just immediately erased Matt's memory of having read his mind.....I haven't ruled out that he has cancelling powers, they just haven't definitively showed it.
