Peters the only one who can stop Sylar at this point.
Decent episode, but Sylar figuring out that Mohinder got a call back from a guy in Virginia Beach? C'mon, please don't stretch it that far. Actually, I am glad that Sylar whacked that guy, because Mr. Melting Coffemaker Hero isn't exactly the guy you want to have your back in a fight. Maybe Micah can hotwire the ATM to shoot twenties at him and give him a paper cut. Cool powers in real life if you had them, but not much in the way of saving the world from the bad guys.Anybody got a link to the new Hero clip that they supposedly showed on Deal or No Deal?
I think it was just coincidence. Yeah still a stretch but not as much IMO. And you dont think Sylar may be able to melt people now? Thats pretty badass IMO
It seemed like Sylar had to think on the fly when the dude asked him if he was Mohinder, so I guess the explanation is just coincidence they were going to see the same guy. And I don’t think he can melt people. I think his power is melting metal or some kind of smelting.

So, Claire's adoptive mom bites it next week?Or did this melting guy count as the death we were promised?
Yeah, I thought that was prett weak after all the previews and build-up. It's like the first part of the season where they kept teasing finding out why Claire was important.

So, Claire's adoptive mom bites it next week?Or did this melting guy count as the death we were promised?
Since the previews for the next couple of episodes still talks about "Someone flies, someone dies" - I believe the melting guy dying doesn't count.

They showed the phone that was melted, don't think that was made out of metal

I thought this was the weakest episode yet. Just some plot movement with nothing substantial going on. They are going overboard with all the connections between the heros.

Any chance that Claire is the first offspring of two "different" people and that is why she is indestructable.
No, it just means that's why she got her powers.Micah is the offspring of two heroes and he isn't indestructable. Remember he got beat up in class or something and came home with a bruise/cut that his mom saw.It seems like if anyone with powers has a kid, regardless if the other spouse has powers, the kids will have powers. Here is the chart so far:1) Micah - Parents DL and Nikki both have powers.2) Nathan - Mom said that Dad felt special, but nothing on Mom, she's just a plain old #####.3) Peter - Ditto Nathan.4) Claire - Parents Nathan and Mom (name?) both have powers.5) Little girl - Don't know if she has powers yet. She seems to be too young to have developed yet, but Sylar definitely had a reason to kill her dad. Still think she has to resurface at some point since Sylar was obviously gunning for her as well. I don't remember her mom getting debrained, so I assume just the dad had powers.6) Matt's baby - Again too young, but who knows down the road. Pretty positive his wife does not have powers.Any others that I am forgetting? No one else we have met has mentioned anything about their parents. One question, do I include Simone on this list? I am still unsure about the whole thing with Peter and his dad. Didn't the dad say, just before he died, that he had seen Peter in his dreams. Kind of like the dream power the Indian kid had. Just wondering where and how Peter picked up that dream thing since I don't think he had met the artist yet.

And a coffee maker, so plastics and metals. Maybe just inorganic things? Also, not to be a :lmao: but it seemed like the puddles were still liquids well after the "melting" and did not turn back into solids. Not sure how that makes any sense to me, any thoughts?

By the way, the reason why I assume that they were still liquids is the way Mohinder stepped around everything.

 Micah down?
I am not convinced that Nikki has any power. Something happened when Jessica died and Jessica somehow took over Nikki. I think Jessica is the one with the power.
Same body down?
There are countless comic book stories about somebody elses body being used as a conduit for the powerful character

I think it was significant when Nikki appeared in the stairwell and not the mirror, i think Jessica was taken by surprised and it is leading to the nikki/jessica showdown.

btw, the melting obviously doesn't include HEAT, since they put simple plastic lineup underneath it. Can't still be a liquid, or it would have moved around.

Well, first I was just kidding. Second, I understand, but I think the power that Nikki/Jessica has is there for both. Nikki is messed up in the head, clearly based on the show with her Dad talking about what happened to her sister. Clearly she repressed the fact that she even had one.Remember, we have been hit over the head that 1) this is a genetic thing and 2) that you have to use your brain to control the powers (Peter with invisible guy & Sylar).Given those 2 points, it is clear that Nikki supressed memories of her sister and is somehow a split personality. Jessica, the more mentally strong/confident personality, has learned how to control the power. Nikki, the more dominated personality has not. Jessica can do things that Nikki cannot and thus it is pretty easy to think that she could control the power that Nikki cannot.Do you think that the power includes seeing yourself in the mirror or in the stairwell? I don't. I just think that Nikki has to overcome the personality disorder and learning how to use the power herself.

Most definitely, but I think that is a showdown in her head, not a physical one. I think the only significance is that Nikkie showing up in the stairwell means that that personality is becoming stronger, i.e. not just hidden in mirrors. That is why Jessica was surprised because she thought she had completely taken over, but Nikki took a step towards taking her mind back over.

btw, the melting obviously doesn't include HEAT, since they put simple plastic lineup underneath it. Can't still be a liquid, or it would have moved around.
I don't think I saw the puddles move either, just seemed like Mohinder was avoiding stepping in them a little more than stepping on a plastic surboard or frisbee, if you will.Anyway, it is a cool power if you are trying to break into a bank or something, but it seems like it has a limited range otherwise that guy would have accidentally melted more than just small appliances. He probably figured out his power melting a controller trying to become the head, top level Elf in his guild. Sylar's telekinesis is way more powerful than that in a real fight.

Actually, it's obvious that Niki has the power, and that she merely blames the power on "Jessica". There are NOT two people here, it's just that when Niki flips out, and tears people apart, the good side of her needs someone to blame. Given that she had a twin sister, it manifested itself there. That's my read on it, anyway.

I agree that the power is there for both Niki and Jessica to use, but it was Jessica who figured out how to use it.

Her power is not the split personality, her power is super strength.

Nobody is talking about our new found theif. Parkman turning "heel" more or less in this episode causes some conflicts later on. Namely, he could be helping out Nikki and Linderman in the future with his powers instead of helping the Feds or whoever he might be working for. He could also be a rogue Hero and go at it alone.

Did anyone notice that after Matt handcuffed her in the stairwell, she was wearing a different shirt when she threw him out the window?Or did she just take off her business suit jacket (for some reason)?

I thought he *did what he did* to try and solve the case for himself, since the other cop seemed to think he was a doofus.

 That was my take, too.

Did anyone catch the surprised look on Jessica's face when Matt said to her that he heard her arguing with someone named Nikki? Is it possible that if he's not trying to hear thoughts, he may still hear them, but can't differentiate them from normal conversation?

I doubt it will shake out this cleanly.Parkman has crossed a line. He can now be compromised by Linderman, or charged with theft or with impeding a criminal investigation -- even with the murder of the diamond broker Jessica killed, since he now has motive (the theft of the diamonds).

When he heard her arguing it didn't sound like when he normally hears thoughts. He can thell the difference between thoughts and voices. Nikki was taking back a little controll and that surprised Jessica.

I know that it usually sounds different, but I didn't think that Nikki and Jessica would have those conversations out loud. And, I know she had a look of surprise when she saw Jessica, but there was another look of surprise when Matt told her that he heard the arguing.

I think that you're overthinking it. Most of these people have used their powers for something illegal at this point.

The guy they offed had the Diamonds. There was no conversation that we were made aware of between Nikki and Linderman that spoke about Parker. He was a Rent-a-cop for all they knew.

My thoughts as well. He kept the diamonds since the cops already thought the was crazy. How well would the "Here are the diamonds that I found only after hearing this dead guy's thoughts on where he hid them. After I heard two people arguing in the hallway that you have no evidence of." They would have just thought he killed the guy and tried to hide the diamonds himself.I think Nikki and Jessica were arguing out loud.

How can you think Parkman stole the diamonds to solve the case? He found them, looked at the officer and put them in his pocket. No way does he turn those in because he would be under even more suspicion than he is now. Parkman crossed the line and is going down teh path of an evil Hero. No good comes from putting stolen goods into his pocket.Parkman is keeping them since he lost his job, possibly his wife, and more.

This is exactly what I told my wife. Although, I do not like it as a plot point and hope it is not true.

Jessica is more confident and strong enough to actually take over even though she isn't the main personality.I also 100% agree that that show with her Dad was basically to show us that the Jessica personality was a suppressed memory of her sister and however she died made Nikki effed in the head. Once that triggered it, she basically suppressed the memory of her sister and now that has her completely messed up now. Remember that Nikki didn't even realize she had a sister until she saw her Dad again. I think they are painting Nikki the character as a decent person. Now, the interesting question is whether or not the evil personality is the real Nikki's personality and she has been suppressing that with a good personality. Do we know how the real life Jessica died, maybe the real life Nikki actually caused her sister's death and becoming the decent person is how she suppressed the memory of that trauma.

Ando is the hero that dies. It affects Hiro greatly and during the season finally he accidently sends himself back in time. There he gets confused/becomes for the shogun. When he comes back he will be future Hiro.

Based on the clip, I think that Mr. Isaac bites it. His power can live on in Sylar.

Yeah but who's can't? I think you may be right esp if Peter can get it together.Interesting question: What would happen if Sylar were able to get the Nikki/Jessica power? Would he also get the multiple personalities?
